I have an X-ADV 750 and a 1250GS, the GS never leaves the garage anymore! The X-ADV is just so much fun, I love it. In fact I'll be giving back the GS when the PCP is up and just having the Honda. I see the 2025 model annouced today has cruise control which it really needs (from my perspective). 😎
Very nice! Cruise control is a very good addition, surprised it took a few years for it to be introduced. Do you do much off-road riding with the X-ADV?
@@BikeMatters I do the occasional green lane and it's brilliant fun. Wouldn't do any 'full on' offroad as it's simply not designed for that and I don't want to damage it!
Like the Guy with the GS I'm the same. Have had all these big capacity its bikes for many years. I have had the xadv but now have the Forza whi h is the same but road focused. I can ride these bike all days in all weather's no aches and pains. Anyone who says these are under powered are with respect talking utter rubbish . 150 hp is ok but you can't use the power on the road . Like a lot of things in life you have to give it time. Obviously it's not everyone's choice but it is a very good machine imo.
They don't bring these to Canada otherwise I would be interested. I have a ten year old NC750X which has similarities to the X-ADV, specifically the engine. I love the low center of mass, low revving, pleasant sounding 750. And what is it with manufacturers and cruise control. On the Prairies it takes me about ten minutes to reach the edge of town and then I'll sit in the saddle for hours at a time with the cruise set to around 105 kph. KTM gets this right. Cruise is available on a lot of their machines as an extra cost option. The 800 Suzuki machines look compelling but without cruise, they don't make my short list.
Similar to Forza 750, which I have owned. Main differences: spoked wheels and manually adjustable windscreen on X-ADV. I was pleased with my Forza 750. However when it fell over whilst parking, and I couldn't pick it up, I realised it wasn't the bike for me! - senior rider. The ADV is similar weight 236kg as compared to Forza 235kg. I moved to the Forza 350, which at around half the cost, and 184kg, is almost as fast, and as capable when riding on the road, which most owners of the X-ADV will do for most of the time..
Back when I was at Visordown I had the ADV350 for a few weeks, brilliant fun. So the Forza 350 is great fun, precisely for the reasons you mention. Enjoy!
Unfortunately it might attract some attention, high value and easy to ride. Unfortunately, particularly in London, there is a pretty high theft rate for all bikes and scooters, no matter its age or style 👎
Cheers! Check our video on the Y-AMT system on our channel for a deep dive, but Honda's tech is dual clutch and super smooth, the Yamaha is still the same CP3 triple but with a motor for the clutch actuation. Y-AMT feels more like a robot changing the gear for you (I guess it's exactly that). Both are great in use, though.
Is it really a scooter? It has 17" front wheels and 150 mm shocks, plus it shares the same engine as the NC750, which is a motorcycle. It also doesn't use a continuously variable transmission (CVT). I'd call it more of a hybrid than a traditional scooter.
We got a medium sized helmet under the seat quite comfortably, though that's all you'll really get in there. The whole 'is it a scooter or motorcycle' point is well made, a lot of people say the same.
@@BikeMatters I have a Shoei Neotec XL, and it doesn’t fit. Honda should have made sure to add a few extra millimeters in width when designing the space under the seat.
Yeah, I tried a large lid with Cardo on the side - no chance. The 2025 model was just announced this morning, with styling tweaks and a new seat, so I wonder if the storage space is tweaked slightly in dimensions - they note it is 22 Litres of storage.
I simply cannot understand why this isnt available in the US? I have the ADV 160 but would love to own an XADV but my dealer told me that they will NEVER be sold in the US! He has no idea why either.... Someone please explain.
I can get my small adventure helmet under the seat with interphone tour on the side, and a micro fibre cloth and small spray bottle of visor cleaner in the small compartment 😌👍🏻
Not being available in the United States States ,how would we know.🤨 I personally own a 2023 Honda ADV 150 which is available and a very good scooter for its size. I currently have 6,000 miles on my scooter and couldn’t be happier owning a Honda Scooter.👍
Me and the missus as pillion sat on one in a show room recently. We ruled buying one out because the two plastic panels that bulge out between the rear foot pegs and pillion seat were digging into her legs just above her ankles. It's a shame because I like the concept of the bike.
cool, for now I bought a honda pcx 125 to have for various trips, I'm going to Wales this week;) however I'm saving up for adv 350 and that will probably be enough for me, I really like the way the exhaust is mounted in the x-adv and I'm disappointed with the lack of space for a helmet in such a large equipment, but of course you should just buy cases. Regards ❤️
The ADV350 is a superb scoot, we've got a good review of that from Brett here. I've ridden one personally, and loved it! Shame a helmet doesn't quite fit in this one, but it's a good enough storage space for other items. Cheers!
PCX is a great scoot, I've owned 2 of them. I'm currently on a Tmax 500 but am looking to downsize to the adv 350 too, they really do seem to be the perfect mix.
Yamaha T max 560 is £14011 in the UK. Honda is cheap. Go in your garage and see if you can make one for 12k. Bikes and cars have never been so advanced and so cheap, we don't know we are born.
Looks like that one has been lowered judging by the back wheel being on the floor on the mainstand. And those tyres are awful on the Xadv. Try one with a set of AX41S and it's 100% better.
Realistically you are not going to take the bike off road so it's compromised the Forza has way better weather protection with exactly the same performance. However this is a far better looking bike. I test rode both and ultimately, as I ride all year round, the Forza was the sensible choice.
@@jimporter yes I did, it's plenty quick enough, I like them but it didn't move me. The same as when I tried a Royal Enfield Int 650 that everyone says is great, I thought it was ok, that's all. I'd like to have an NC750X, a super practical bike that makes sense but I know it would bore me. So the problem is probably me, not the bikes 😆
The X-ADV is one of the worst bikes I’ve ever ridden. Underpowered, chain drive, half the underseat storage of the ADV 350… all for twice the price?! Fortunately it will be getting the engine from the Hornet 750 soon.
Interesting, I really enjoyed it. It's one of the most powerful maxi scooters on the market today. Didn't know it was due to get the Hornet 750 motor in there, that'll be interesting!
The XADV is not a scooter. Scooter's main characterist is a CVT trasmission. The fact of under seat space and front floor instead foot pegs does not constitute it a scooter.

I need to figure out how to import this to the United States.
This machine is actually the current state of the art in motorcycles and pretty much the best machine with high-tech what money can buy!
Wish they would bring this to the States. Love my ADV150.
It's a shame that Honda doesn't offer this model in the States, as they're missing out on potential customers!

I just had a test ride on one this Sunday and it was really fun. A bit heavy compared to my MT09 and I could feel the difference.

Indicators on all the time??? how do you put them on if they are already on?
As in, the indicator lights remain on, and when you indicate left or right the corresponding one flashes. It's a Honda thing!
You would see this on the back of every RV in North America if it was sold here.
Why they don't sell it in the US ??
No mention of the NC750X which this shares a platform with.
