So it's been 5yrs since the release of this video and I'm contemplating getting the Softube Console 1 and the fader OR the avid s1.. Any thoughts, Mike? Or anyone else reading this comment?

Mike , as you were going through your " rough mix " it seems to me that in using the gain control on the console 1 what you were doing was controlling the out put of the plug in on each channel , and not the faders on your pro tools session , they all stayed at unity gain , so is this really setting up a rough mix ?

If you’re in studio one it’ll integrate with the S1 faders and Pan. But I believe at the moment that’s the only daw that supports that.

Great series of videos! Thank you for doing these and explaining things so well. Console 1 sounds pretty great. Have you tried the 9000k option? Do large sessions choke the CPU?

      +Jimmie Williams Hi Jimmie,
I have the 9K option and love it. There are also rumors going around that a Neve console emulation is in the works but I have no direct knowledge that it is true. Considering how much is going on within the C1 plugin, it's actually not too heavy on the CPU.
      Cheers!
      Mike

      Hey Jimmie,
Unless you are running 96K sessions or huge track counts I think you should bbe good with that setup.
      Cheers!
      Mike
