    This is not about reaper but creativity which can be applied anywhere. Really impressive!

    I love when tutorials (naturally and through their way of explaining things) bring things into a proper, practical, and contextual understanding so that we not only know 'what' it is we're doing, but 'why', which is key! (Too many tutorials just tell you what they do. But yours helps us to make sense of things like the timing for example)
    I was completely lost and working 'in the dark' playing the guessing game of these dials, but after watching video 1 and 2, it all makes much more sense now! Thanks so much as these helped tremendously.

    Reaper is awesome due to Kenny, Dan Worral, Glen, Adam and Jon. The Reaper community has great influencers to spearhead the software and I'm grateful.

    I finally get what dotted delays are now after about 30 years of listening to Ozric Tentacles doing delay guitar pieces. I'm liking the stripped back plugins too that don't have fancy but confusing interfaces.

    Not only was it a good tutorial, but the music is pretty relaxed.

    You inspire me to try using Reaper-only plugins and manually create effects that a lot of these other plugins are doing for you. This is great brother. Love it.

    I fully understand the delay plugin after just these two videos on it. Thanks!

    You can set 1.5 for the Length and get an 8 Dotted Guitar effect

    What would equal a triplet note?

  • @RainMakeR_Workshop
    @RainMakeR_Workshop 5 лет назад

    so if 1.00 is an 8th note and 2.00 is a quarter note. If I want a dotted 8th it would be 1.50 right?

    Nice & clear as usual ;) Just one thing : ternary delays ^^ I can't make them at the moment with readelay.. I have to go to something that indicate the "T" value.. (??!)

    • @MrMetalclay

      Did you figure it out? Something like a dotted note or triplet?

    • @wscomn800
      @wscomn800 5 лет назад +1

      You might have already done this, but what I did to create the 'dotted 1/8 note' effect was to use .5 decimals in the Length input box. Since a dotted 8th note is just an 1/8th + 1/16th, the added 0.5 to the length made sense to me.
      Created a track on the grid, piano > C - Am - F - G. Set up Routing as Kenny did it. On the ReaDelay I made 3 taps (you can make more, of course):
      Tap 1: Length: 1.5 Feedback -2.0, everything else to taste.
      Tap 2: Length: 3.0, Feedback: -2.8, everything else to taste.
      Tap 3: Length: 4.5, Feedback: -2.7, everything else to taste.
      Pretty interesting result. Again, the more your music is on the grid the better the result.
      Cheers, hope this helps. BC

    I need to know how to progressively change a delay setting like adding more and more lowpass as the delay is going without making a million tabs if that makes sense
