Really want to say thank you Kenny, I don't often comment on RUclips, but the skills you have helped me to obtain in simplified explanations and clear instructions you give is amazing, really helped my skills as a singer, who knew what sound they wanted on their voice, but never had the words or knowledge to articulate it to producers i was working with. Thank you!
Good delay. I love using the resolution section and setting it to 8 bits for certain delay throws. In this way it looks like an analog delay. All that's missing is a wow and flutter button. But we can add another plugin to make this effect, or use the Lfo parameter. But I think that even so the Reaper delay doesn't need anything else, not even the wow button, because it's a good digital delay, very transparent and that's exactly what we're looking for in a digital delay.
Superb. Kenny this is so excellent. I learned a lot about combining delay and reverb. Thanks. Your production values are superlative. Your presentations are efficient, articulate and organized.
Amazing - any guidance on how to apply a reverb or delay and REMOVE the dry signal to only have the reverb or delay affect be audible? Example - want to have electric guitar panned right, and reverb or delay effect panned left (but no dry guitar signal panned left). I'm sure it is something super easy I'm missing, but if someone can give me some guidance I'd appreciate. (example - Whole Lotta Love Led Zeppelin intro does this with reverb panned to one side with no dry, Brown Sugar Rolling Stones has slapback echo panned to one side with no dry)
Excellent information, never really understood what tap was good for. Been using the techniques from the last video with better results and also using panning in an odd way of late, kind of out control. Love automating panning, to a fault :)
I should comment more often, but I am lazy. These videos are always great! Keep up the good work. I just hope you have got time to make your own music too.
I'm getting a lot out of this "how and why" series, but the question that keeps coming to me is "where?" I'm a complete noob just leaning for a hobby. I've downloaded some multitrack recordings, mostly up to around 20 tracks. They sound so blah after I've mixed and gain staged them. So, do you go into each instrument/vocal track and add FX at that level? Or, maybe for everything on the master track? I see how sends work from the reverb video on multiple drum tracks. Is there maybe another video that addresses adding FX in a more than one track project??? Thanks for the many informative videos!! It's very intriguing!!
Again a great video Kenny. Is there a reason why you have not shown the delay on the drum parts from the previous reverb video? Or is using delay on drums not that common?
Hi Kenny. The length parameter (the 1/8 notes) is 'carved in stone' so to speak. Could we get it more flexible with the same fractions as found in the MIDI editor which is from 4 to 1/128 please? I love this new series you just started. I hope you'll cover many effects phaser, flanger, distortion, etc... Thanks Kenny!
Hey Kenny, There is a way that I can measure milliseconds in Reaper? For example, I want to measure a transient of a snare hit in milliseconds, so I can set the attack time on a compressor
How about using delay time and musical lenght together. Does it make delay time longer for all taps or does it change taps offsets? Or if I want offset do I need to move whole delay bus offset bit late?
@@REAPERMania Am liking the "Why and How" series - looking forward to "Why and How to use Compression in REAPER". And after that Limiting? ;-) As always, thanks Kenny!
This and the previous reverb one are great. Thanks. There’s always something more to learn. I should really get to know Reaper’s effects better.
Thanks Kenny! I love this series!! Very helpful :)
I never know how to thank you. I learnt a job by watching your videos . Thanks so much
So glad I found this just today! Thank you.
You are the man!! I learn something new about Reaper every single time I watch one of your vids!!
11:30 When you are dead inside but finally learned how to use delay.

Great series so far, I'm learning new things, please keep up the great work!
This is the best explanation of reverb and delay.
The best tutorial I've ever seen, thanks
Thanks, very good tutorial.
One of the best delay/reverb tutorial I see ever. Very interesting way to produce a great pan effect. Thank you!
Kenny You're amazing
Great series

Great again. Useful tips about effects.
This makes so much more sense. I've always added my tracks to sends. Great video 👌
Excellent! Thanks Kenny.
Thanks Kenny...this is very useful 👍
As always writing a comment to support the channel
Congrats on 100k! Always learning something every video
You keep blowing my mind Kenny!!
I am loving these posts
Always good to be reminded of what Reaper can do without us spending cash on plugins. Thank you!

Well, sir, I think you just made me fall in love with two of Reaper's stock fx! Thanks for another great tutorial.
Nice, I gotta try that slap on vocals. I usually only use the longer one.
Quite a revelation to me. Will be using this for sure.
This helped me do what I needed to do, thank you!
Very helpful for learning stock delay fx
Excelente, como siempre. gracias
Merci beaucoup pour cette vidéo très bons conseils

Right. I’ve always used tap to pour another beer, but I’ll have to try this new technique.
Seems 30ms is the ideal delay between left and right ear, huh? This is amazing stuff!

Brawo! Kenny Master!
Super, thank you!

Спасибо огромное, всё очень понятно объяснили!
Thank u kenny! Can you show us how to make this delay on only a certain section of a single lane track
Thankyou very much!!!

Hey Kenny,
There is a way that I can measure milliseconds in Reaper?
For example, I want to measure a transient of a snare hit in milliseconds, so I can set the attack time on a compressor
Those lenght parameter is killing me. Why not to use simple form like 1/2, 1/4, dot, trip etc?
mind training
exactly what i want to say. need to use calc for understanding result ) привет, Энди:)
Thanks 🙏
With delay: Nice!!! Nice!! Nice! 👍👍👏👏
When setting up effects along with an EQ, which should come first in the chain or does it matter?
How about using delay time and musical lenght together. Does it make delay time longer for all taps or does it change taps offsets? Or if I want offset do I need to move whole delay bus offset bit late?
muito bom,,,obrigado
Powerful tool
Why not using the ReaVerb but the ReaVerbate ??? Whats the difference and when the ReaVerb can used??
Hi. Why delay arrests horribly after a certain length? thanks.
Compressor video Come please
Soon.

Great!, thanks!!
Kenny i love u...but i need one tutorial....please.....
How to make vocal chops like fruity slicer (fl studio) in reaper
cool
would u recommend slapback or musical for rap vocals?
10:48 may I ask why did you lower the wet signal on reverb? Isn't that diminishing the reverb effect?
Yes. I thought it was too much.
great vidddddeo!!)!!_!!(!!
