● Gaumukh :- It is snout of the Gangotri Glacier and the source of the Bhagirathi River, one of the primary headstreams of the Ganges River. The place is situated at a height of 4255m in Gangotri National Park of Uttarkashi district in the state of Uttarakhand.
● Tapovan :- It is located on an altitude of 4463m above sea level. Tapovan is base camp for Shivlinga peak in Gangotri National Park. One can also have a nice view of Bhagirathi peaks from Tapovan Meadow
● How to Reach :-
Day 1 :-Haridwar to Gangotri - 290 Km - Road
Day 2 :-Gangotri to Bhojwasa - 14 Km - Trek
Day 3:- Bhojwasa to Tapovan - 9 Km - Trek
Day 4:- Tapovan to Gangotri - 23 Km - Trek
Day 5:- Gangotri to Haridwar - 290 Km - Road
● Permissions :-

* Only 150 persons are allowed per day to enter into the Gangotri National Park.
* We arranged our permissions from Gangotri itself through our agency instead of Uttarkashi
* For Gaumukh, permission is mandatory but Guide is not mandatory
* For Tapovan, Permission & Guide from registered agency are mandatory.

Bro It's a great trek but tough too. I also had some struggle during this trek. But it's must to have good guide and to be prepared for AMS , rock falling....!!

Thank you ! Yes you can carry your own tent but you also have to take a guide along with you from authoritised agency for necessary permission.

Sorry we can't justify any individual or review all guides but they have Govt. authorized agencies to guide the tourist. And if you ask about feedback of our own guide then we didn't took too much help from him except crossing the river. So he was pretty much happy with just walking with us. But it is advisable to take the guide till Gaumukh Tapovan.

You can apply for permission via agency which is mandatory for beyond Gaumukh. Talk to the listed agency they will arrange everything for you with nominal charge, link mentioned in the description. Btw they also have the website for that swsuttarkashi.com/Home/DashBoard But you have to select agency and guide for tapovan

Ohhh Com'on man, you're one of those that plays music out loud, on big speakers during these beautiful treks... that sucks, very bad. I actually hate you guys... put some headphones if you'd like to listen to music... Don't bother my peace, like everyone, we've come very very very far for it.

Tapovan trek me Guide charges kitna hai perday hisab se? Agar main khud ka tent leke gayi Tapovan me to kya mujhe tent lagoane me ashram ko koi charge dena padega ya fir free hai?
Guide charges was 1500/- per day + food and stay extra for him, and you shouldn't need to pay for your own tent to the ashram but you can use ashram for food there.

400 pp per night @ Bhojbasa for Stay + Food
750 pp per night @ Tapovan for Stay + Food
150 pp for permit

अरे भैया तो पूरी अंग्रेजी ही बोल लो।एक ही language बोलो न ताकि बनावटीपन न झलके।तेरे बोलने का अंदाज ऐसा लग रहा है जैसे अंग्रेजी बोलना तो चाहते हो लेकिन फुल कमांड न होने की वजह से हिंदी भी बोलना पड़ रहा है।सिद्ध स्थान में जाने के बाद तो कम से कम बनावटीपन छोड़ दो।दिखावे के लिये तो बाकी स्थान है ही।
और अगर इंडियन लैंग्वेज की ही बात है तो इंग्लिश क्यों?दूसरे रीजनल लैंग्वेज ही बोल लो।देखो भाई!तुमसे कोई दुश्मनी नही है।बस इतना बोल रहा हूँ कि जिस भी लैंग्वेज में बोलो लेकिन जबरदस्ती मत घुसेडो।अगर mother tongue इंग्लिश है तो वही बोलो अगर हिंदी है तो हिंदी ही बोलो।कोई और लैंग्वेज है तो वही बोलो।और उससे भी मन न भरे तो 2 भाषा मे ट्रांसलेट कर दो। लेकिन कॉकटेल मत करो। आगे तेरी मर्जी।
