Diedre was truly the Glue that kept that Family together, God Bless her a no matter how bad the Members of her family were from Tracy to Peter, she was always so forgiving.
Ken “ I don’t need to tell any of you this, do I. You all knew her.” Tim “I didn’t, really.” Sally “Ssshhh!” Like at Sinead’s funeral when they were all wearing flowers, and Sally said “It’s so...Sinead” and Tim went “Mine’s a bit pink. Cant I have a blue one?” 😂😂
eli she was a good actress my favourite Derriere story was when she met a con man and went to prison and the ike Baldwin affer i do not no if you were alive then i am an old man
Has anyone ever gave a eulogy and had everyone stand up and clap over what you said, I have, in front of 150 people at my old work partners send off. That was one of my most greatest days, the feeling is indescribable, as it always comes from the heart
I remember that happening at Remembrance Sunday every year and everyone still does it now because I was very young 15 year old leading the service. I’m 21 now and still lead the service now
I cried at this episode Deidre was one of the best my favourite storyline was where she was wrongly imprsoned for a crime she didn’t commit dubbed “Free The Weatherfield one”
Sorry to hear of your loss, the pain does get easier eventually, thinking of the good memories/times sometimes helps but remember your Grandad loves you too and is watching over you and knows he hasn't been forgotten, take care
It’s very hard to film knowing that dierdre the magnificent character who joined the entire cast and crew died and that postponed the filming as mark of respect for Anne kirkbride
She died in January, so they definitely waited a while. But I understand why, to give her friends and family in real life time to grieve before going through it again on the show.
OfficialMarkC They had to permission from her Husband to acknowledge her death. On US Soil they had to do that with lot of Soap Stars from Y & R to Guiding Light.
It kind of reminds me of when Stephanie "Died" On The Bold & The Beautiful of Cancer. The First Xmas without her was so hard. Eric went to a Theater and ordered Two Martini Drinks and watched a Show "without" her. HE was so overwrought with Grief, he didn't want to be a burden to his children.
Tim can't really be trusted to behave at funerals. Look at when they were all watching the hearse leaving the street for Sinead's funeral, all wearing flowers and Sally went "It's so...Sinead." and Tim went "Mines a bit pink. Can't I have a blue one?" 😂😂
Next to Valerie, I think that Diedre was the true great love of Ken's Life. Sadly enough, so many guys lost their Wives. Roy lost Hayley and Dev lost Sunita.
This is mean considering Deirdre is actually dead but imagine if when ken said “ I just want to hear your laugh one more time “ you just heard a laugh coming from her box 😂
I Really miss Deirdre She was one of my best Character's on the Cobble's I loved the way she Smiled And I loved the way She Cried Deirdre had some odd times and good When She met all of her husband's Which was very dramatic I can't believe she died in real life but she wasn't Deirdre it was Anne Kirkbride I watched some Episodes that she went out and got drunk with Liz and Eileen everyone misses Anne I hope you are there Anne listening to this goodbye Deirdre Xxxxxxxxxx😀😊☺😇😩😪😍😘
I noticed that UK Funerals are different from US Funerals on Soaps. When a White Character "Dies" either on the Show or in "Real" Life they always have a Black Person singing at The Funeral. Whether it' "Precious Lord Take My Hand, or God Bless The Child, or You'll Never Walk Alone" they have the Cast Members crying and the extras. Many of them have strong ties to Broadway Musicals so it's no big surprise.
I feel sorry for Tracy when bev shocked and broke the news about Deirdre she passed away when I saw Tracy crying I didn’t know poor Tracy just lost her mother Tracy love I sorry about Deirdre it’s going to be okay
I remember Mummy breaking the news of Queen Elizabeth’s death and I was very distraught to know when I wasn’t supposed too. I loved that she hugged me and my beloved Woody at the same time
Coronation Street has had to move on since Deirdre’s death, but in my opinion Corrie is not as good now without Deirdre; she was the life and soul of the soap. I think Ken is definitely still the other life and soul, given how long he’s been in the show for, and when he’s gone Corrie will totally different. Hopefully, that won’t be happening anytime soon as Bill Roache maybe old but he’s like David Attenborough, still fit as a fiddle.
@@arunicahom-choudhury1641 No, I don’t think he will either, but, as I said, when he does the show will definitely lose a very central actor and character. Blanche & Deirdre are definitely missed by all Corrie lovers.
satchfan2010 He's been through a lot Including being wrongly accused of a vile crime Attending Anne Kirkbride's funeral Going to Deirdre Barlow's funeral on Coronation Street as Ken Barlow
Deirdre love why dose your selfie picture have to be so dramatic. I don't think my camera can take much more. Ken love I'm in the toilet someone has taken all the bog rolls again.
So well written and acted, must have been so tough for all the cast but especially Bill. They did Anne proud.
That must have been so hard to film knowing there best friend and colleague has sadly really passed away

R.I.P Anne Kirkbride, a wonderful actress and person, as Deirdre and as her actual self, Anne. Rest in peace, you will be missed.
Megan Lewis IKR So sad 😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😥😥😥😥😥😥😥
Ken Barlow and William Roache surely miss her severely
The fact that she died in real life makes things ten times sad I cried while watching this 😭
eli was this her actual funeral or just acting ?
Aled Davies just acting
It was the same with Deirdre’s mum Blanche
eli she was a good actress my favourite Derriere story was when she met a con man and went to prison and the ike Baldwin affer i do not no if you were alive then i am an old man
Yeah because Maggie jones died exactly 6 years before her aged 75
RIP Anne Kirkbride
1954-2015
65 years old... struck down in her prime.
let's be honest, the entire diedre death storyline from beginning to end was NOT acting because Anne Kirkbride died in real life so 😭

Cheeky Memphis sorry to hear that
I've had relatives sadly pass away

I'm 40 years of age and still miss my granddad a lot. 🤗
a lot of this was real tears as she really did pass away
Tim " I didn't really " lol
He can’t be trusted at funerals, can he? Sally should go on her own and leave him at home!
He is funny at weddings aswell
It’s very hard to film knowing that dierdre the magnificent character who joined the entire cast and crew died and that postponed the filming as mark of respect for Anne kirkbride
What a an amazing send off for Anne kirkbride
She died in January, so they definitely waited a while.

+TurquoiseStar17 Why did she die ?
She had a rare form of Cancer. In real life she had Hodgkins Disease.
My nana's life wasn't easy in 2015
Life is hard for me without her
This is probably one of the saddest scenes in weatherfield
It kind of reminds me of when Stephanie "Died" On The Bold & The Beautiful of Cancer. The First Xmas without her was so hard. Eric went to a Theater and ordered Two Martini Drinks and watched a Show "without" her. HE was so overwrought with Grief, he didn't want to be a burden to his children.
He deserved that applause so he did!
Is that you Jim?
1:30 Sally should have left Tim at home.
Diamondelle84 especially in part 1 when he wore his earplugs when Emily made her speech
Umm why's that
Diamondelle84 I didn’t really 😂

I think he had a funny way of showing it don't you ?
+Treasure Mclyntyre who is Kylie's mum?
Andrew Foley well. That's not true he loved Deirdre and she loved him
And now David. He lost Kylie.
Deirdre and Anne will live on in some form

karenwhatley I don't know what you're talking about?
Anne Kirkbride looking down on the other cast members of Corrie wondering how they're getting on
Why michelle & Carla not there ?
Poor Tracy
That was her mother
Ken was right, Tracy caused her mom a lot of pain over the years.

The acting from Roach at the end is awful. It looks so forced.
What is awful about the acting. And why does it look so forced?
Lucy Meacock It just doesn't look sincere to me.
+satchfan2010 What do you mean it doesn't look sincere ?
Lucy Meacock It just looks like someone shouted ''action!'', and he had to force the emotion for that given scene.
