Telvanni arguably the most powerful great houses of morrowind

My favorite build. This really makes me want to play as an Argonians Wizard in Morrowind.
I remember playing this one back in the day! I ended up playing through the Undeath mod with it and gaining knowledge, power and immortality through lichdom. That mod can fit this build really well.

This is one of the most amazing builds you have ever done, I recently started playing skyrim again and i am going to use this build as my main one, How you come up with the amazing back-story and design is beyond me, Keep up the good work guys
I had an idea for a build. I'm sadly not very good at backstories so I will skip that. The build is the champion of Akatosh. You can choose any race or gender you want. You're mainly and archer. You will be using Auriel's bow (because Akatosh and Auriel are practically the same). As for your melee weapon you'll be using I recommend using any sword that represents dragons, time or divine like dragonbane or you could go for a blades sword with fire damage enchantment to give it even more of that dragon feel. As for your armor you'll be using the aetherial crown, an amulet of Akatosh or dragonguard, glass boots and cuirass and gloves. You will do the main quest line because you are the chosen of Akatosh and have therefore been gifted with dragon blood. As for spells you'll use alteration to cast things like ebony flesh or even dragon hide in extreme situations. As for shouts you will use slow time mainly to assist you when you're using your bow plus Akatosh is the god of time.

I did a build with almost the exact setup you used, but I used restoration for healing and stamina regen, and later cast protective circles, and id made him a crossover between a paladin/crusader and demon hunter.
Oh and I used dawnbreaker as a melee weapon
But they don't have my gender, which is Attack Helicopter

***** And the build is focused in magic and heavy armor, The mechanis build some kind of iron man Dwemer armor that fortified all his magical abilities and that kind of stuff
I played it last year. It was incredibly fun and I ultimately murdered everyone in Markarth and created myself a dwarven amunculi army.

Class: Dark elf archer Mage
Major skills: alteration, illusion, archery, and destruction (mostly fire spells)
Minor skills: two-handed, light armor and enchanting if you want
Uses claymore in close combat such can be heavily enchanted, he also takes most of the perks in archery
He is an old dark elf with long hair and a bold spot on top, and always we're hoods for that reason, he also has the war paint skull on his face.

My telvanni wizard was a master of all schools of distruction and a summoner of dremora Lords he also wielded the staff of Magnus beacuse it looks cool and to absorb the magic of your foes as for jewelry I use copper and Ruby circlet of eminent destruction beacuse it fits well with the robes and also looks badass I also used sevos arens amulet you can use any ring of your choice
The mod graphs look so beautiful that it doesnt even feels like its Skyrim.
This NEEDS to be remastered! ... again

I love the telvanni and actually made one myself based on this build and my morrowind charackter Ive put a lot of time into it so I decided to share it if someone is interested. I am only covering the skills and combat of this build tho
Invest in: destruction, alteration,conjuration , alchemy and enchanting. And take the atronach stone. I’d advise a 4 to one magicka haelth split.
Destruction and conjuration are pretty self explanatory although I would advise you leave out the destruction perk that makes enemy’s stagger al the time it just takes the fun of combat from me. Alteration is cool for some out of combat scenarios in combat it’s alright at earlier levels with the flesh spells and late game paralysis is a beast. Enchanting to improve the amount of spells you can cast you can do that through spell reduction cost but this is almost a exploit and not a lot of fun, or just fortify magika still strong even on max difficulty and very late game. Also make fortify alchemy gear. Alchemy is a must have for high leveled mages as distruction spell damage isn’t very viable late game. Self made fortify destruction potions will grand you over 200% more damage.
Some other things to note: there is a exploit even for console witch let’s you use the vampiric grip as a human, fits well in this build and is a lot of fun. If you use companions make sure to get the companion effects from one of the black books otherwise you’ll kill them a lot.
This playstyle is quite simple: conjure things to keep your enemies away from you paralyze you foes to feel badass and of course completely destroy every single one of their cells with the might of the 3 elements.
This build is extremely viable even without the vampiric grip exploit and on max difficulty on vanilla the ebony warrior was a joke. BUT this build is extremely hard on lower difficulty’s maybe invest in illusion early game, that way you can take a saver approach to dungeons and bandit camps and do pretty Mitch al quests you want until you strong enough to win all battles you come across.
I like this build so much that i create a argonian and a dunmer telvanni wizard(with diferent specializations)!

ToxicSpartan 125 lol no. the Telvanni are among the fiercest supporters of slavery in the whole of tamriel. They ignored the imperial law during the height of the Septium empire, of course they'll ignore laws banning slavery.
That being said, not every Telvanni necessarily believes in slavery as the House is decentralized.

How would you rationalize being shit at magic at the start of the game?
You could say the imperials held you captive for many years weakening the powers you had worked to develop.
That's bullsht, just don't care about it as much, and also, you are not a telvanni wizard yet when you start the game, from what I understand of the backstory.
+Zach King I rationalize it by saying my character was a servant of House Telvanni, orphaned by a Telvanni Wizard and taught only what he needed to serve House Telvanni. As he grew older, he studied independently, learning a few basic spells before the Argonians expanded their conquest north, and he was forced to flee to Cyrodil with his master, as well as several other servants. His master established a Telvanni Stronghold in the marshes of Leyawiin, and he thanked his master and left to travel across Tamriel and study magic.
Good stuff, I was only saying that because the backstory states he's been training for 200 years mastering magic, and only being able to cast novice destruction spells breaks immersion.
During the eruption of Red Mountain, the Tower of Sadrith Mora collapses into the surrounding sea. Frantically swimming up the flooded mycelium of the mushroom tower you find a break in the side and manage to squirm through the opening. What you see brings a new appreciation to your once beloved home -- in depths below lurks a shrine to the dark god, Hermaeus Mora. Heartstones hail down and burn themselves into the stone edifice. Divayth curses under his breath, "At least I judge a book by its characters, but this is absurd, you fell out of a plot hole.. although House Telvanni is in it's final chapter, and the powerful among us are never absurd, though you would appear to be neither.. Take this book to the north, you'll find a settlement of Dunmer in the city of Windhelm and reside with them. Seek out the man Septimus Signus, he knows more about recovering secret and stolen knowledge than anyone in Tamriel. He is a member of the College of Winterhold, and you should consider joining their ranks. Return to me a proper wizard and we will talk of your reinstatement. Now go, take the silt strider to the mainlaind, I have important work to attend to." So you travel along the coast, past bittersweet memories and Argonian patrols. The first day of snow arrives and you hear Nords yelling, and Imperials surround the strider. You feel a sharp blow to the back of the head, and you awaken in a carriage.

I always remember that quest in Morrowind where that Telvanni made you wear a skirt. I obviously put it on the naked khajiit sex slave and ran like hell!
Uncle Gubsy, I forgot that I had to put the skirt on the slave, so the old hag attacked me and I was forced to defend myself by wiping out every person in her mushroom house. Good times.

heavy chitin armor, ebony blade, ritual stone along with a few misc spells from each tree that worked well. (ice magic, ice atronachs, hysteria, ebony flesh etc)
main skills are...
heavy armor
two handed
conjuration
minor skills would be any other magic trees that u find fun
try to have the fighting style of the reaper but equipped to dish with magic based abilities when the need arises but try to stick to the ritual stone and ebony blade combo. use magic in the way a telvanni wizard would, in both hands!

I'm conflicted on several accounts when I make this build.
One decision consists of choosing either Dark elf or High elf.
The other consists of whether or not I should join the Dark Brotherhood/Thieves guild. After all, a mage has to make money somehow.
Do a high elf for the immersion and the fact that anyone can get into house telvanni and I would say do the theives guild no matter what but for the dark brotherhood you could maybe be a vampire for knowledgeable

Never really done a full Mage build because it has a Damage Cap : so theoretically weapons will always be better if u have good smithing

+seanie russell You can still easily play a Mage on Master Difficulty if you know what you're doing. Incinerate deals 60 damage. Dual casted, that's 132 damage. Add both Augmented Flames perks and the Dragon Priest mask Ahzidal, and you're dealing 231 damage. Acquire Impact to stagger lock most enemies, and cost reduction enchantments to allow you to spam Incinerates non stop and there's nothing you can't kill. Mages have a 'damage cap', but they deal enough damage to play on Master and they have lots of useful utilities, like Paralysis, Frenzy, Command Daedra and Invisibility, and they can summon Dremora Lords, which deal huge damage in melee and Storm Atronachs which can take down most dragons without any help.

Just to let people know, if you play a female character when you wear the Telvanni robes you'll see the heart stone slot like on the apprentice you kill, there's no way to get rid of it on console but I'm sure there's a mod to fix it
+Reece Swaby There's two different types of Telvanni robes. One that you get from Neloth's apprentice, and the other is the one that Neloth himself wears. Both can be obtained through the console.

Yeah, ghostblade is what you are looking for, it's a dark brotherhood assasin, who uses some kind of ethereal sword, together with illusion and sneak.

It's more a role playing thing than practical besides with perks and rings and necklace and circlet you will have more than enough

How is argonian telvanni wizard lore friendly? I thought the telvanni used argonians as slaves (at least in TES: morrowind). Did something change?
It's kinda complicated. They have slaves but don't discriminate. They don't hate any race just keep them as slaves.
