You’re totally naive if you think he’s a clean athlete, you don’t run world record times as a clean athlete, looks at his musculature in his prime he looks like a body builder
No it doesn't, it says MJ 'on Olympic doping' which clearly means he is speaking about doping at the Olympics. It also clearly means he gave his medal back because of doping at the Olympics.
He works as an analyst on British TV during athletics tournaments and the Olympics. He's very well respected as a top athlete and analyst. And the BBC, who he works for, is very far left. They're not deliberately undermining him on the basis you imply, it's just a stupid clickbait title. Though I agree, a regrettable one that they ought to change.
Micheal Johnson, everyone on the planet knows your extraordinary achievements. And further to that, your name also strikes everyone that yours is a name with integrity. My 3 teenage children know you. They know who you are. Decency speaks to people. It makes you so much more impressive. So well done. And thank you. It's made you even more of a person to admire.
The title is 100 percent accurate and it applies to Usain Bolt as well. They were stripped of a gold medals because of doping. In both cases it was their teammate that doped but the title never said it wasn’t.
Love me some Michael Johnson. As a teenager living in Germany at the time (Father was military). I stayed up until 0300-0500 in the morning to watch him race in the 200 & 400.

Love the seeming honesty here. My respect for Michael has gone way up. I am however more interested in someone we all have known was cheating, tested positive at different times, has actually admitted it once in an interview. Why has Carl Lewis been allowed to keep his medals. He was juicing when he lost to Ben Johnson in the Seoul Olympics.
Never knew that Antonio Pettigrew committed suicide after admitting taking performance enhancing drugs. That is so tragic. to hear.. May his soul rest in peace.
❤I know Michael Johnson(on TV) When I was 10(now 42), only 3 program on TV,one of program is Olympic, he’s so cool. Imagine if I can running better than my classmates just like Michael Johnson
Not slighting MJ in the least. But it's easier to give back a medal when you have another 4. Plus if I have to give one back, let it be relay and not individual events. What MJ did makes me respect him even more. Interesting story. He did an interview at the Olympics and was asked about his unique running style and what would happen if he ran like the rest of the guys. His answer..."I'd be back with those guys." Absolute Legend!
All of them are doping. Nobody is winning multiple gold medals and world championships cleanl while competing against world class athletes who are doping. It is not possible. The only way 4 time gold medalists are able to honestly say they competed cleanly is if they took the supplements provided by their coaches without being informed of what they contained. They should all keep their medals because they are all doping.
His running style is the cleanest smartest I've seen. Conserving energy with that running style. I don't know if he ever cheated but I say no. He just did it better.
They said never meet your heroes. This was the case with Michael Johnson. I was in LaGuardia Airport like 25 years ago and me and 2 little boys noticed it was him we were all excited to meet him. We waited for him to get off the phone and when he got off the pay phone, we asked for his autograph and he told us no autographs I said not even to the little boys.

We miss breakfast because despite what the cereal companies tell you, it's actually good for you to miss it. Johnson is either lying or incredibly naive. And did you know that they actually add a tiny bit of Jake Humphries to vanilla ice cream to tone it down a bit, stop it from being too exciting.
The title is tarnishing Michael's name in a sense. It should be changed to clearly relay that it was not MJ's fault. But of course you won't change it because you care more about views than the legend MJ and his reputation. We know you see our comments!
This made me smile, and for the wrong reasons! The opening question and answer says it all. Question: "and you voluntarily handed back a gold medal?" Answer: "Hmm." Now, there's a reason why there wasn't a clear "Yes" response there from Michael. And the reason is, that relay gold medal was stripped away, not returned voluntarily. The US team lost that relay gold medal, and on two counts - first Kevin Young tested positive, and then Antonio Pettigrew tested positive. Yup, there's nothing voluntary about returning that gold medal. There never is. The IOC takes them back. Period. When a member of a relay team tests positive, your result is scrapped, and if you won a medal it is taken away. Usain Bolt lost his 2008 relay gold when Nesta Carter's frozen samples tested positive in 2017. His reaction? "It's heartbreaking (the positive test) because over the years you've worked hard to accumulate gold medals and work hard to be a champion... but it's just one of those things," "Things happen in life, so when it's confirmed or whatever, if I need to give back my gold medal I'd have to give it back..." Here's what Wikipedia says about the 2000 relay gold medal: On June 29, 2004 the IAAF announced that Young committed a doping offense on 26 June 1999.[5][6][7] The effect of the decision was to negate all his results from 26 June 1999 to 25 June 2001, and to ban him permanently from the date of the decision. Accordingly, he and his teammates were stripped of their 2000 Olympic medal in the 4x400 m relay.[8] The Court of Arbitration for Sport reinstated the 2000 Olympic gold for Jerome's relay teammates in 2005.
