- In this episode, I convert a propane grill into a charcoal grill for my nephew. I rip out the flame elements, gas line, knobs, weld up a stretched steel cradle for charcoal, and install a chimney to control the heat.
Good job and really smart tanks
Thumbs up on the music alone 👍🏻
I have a Grill Master and when i removed the inside gas stuff do i have to cover the holes where the gas operating part were? i would think the flame from Coal would come out sides not sure what to use other then foil. can anyone help thank you
The only time you get a flame is when first lighting the charcoal when they're doused with lighter fluid. After that, you'll only need to worry about heat/temperature control. Some air flow is good, but not so much that all of the heat escapes. You can try covering up the holes with foil if you want, but you'll probably need to keep the grill lid propped an inch or so to moderate cooking temp. If everything gets burned, try it without plugging off the holes.
I did something similar. I did not add a smoke stack (non of my coal grills ever had one). My gas grill had a side burner, so I disconnected the 4 burners, but left the side burner.
Baddest ass portable bench grinder mount / tool cart I’ve ever seen! 👍
awesome video very inspiring
Loved the music!
Man of few words nice work 👍🏻
Don't have any of those tools for cutting/drilling. Can the burners be left in place & used as a shelf for a charcoal tray to sit on? Thanks
THANK YOU!! Love the no BS and simplicity of it all. Might just do this myself.
A jigsaw with metal blade could of made the hole easier
I agree, but I don't have a jigsaw.
@@post5productions no worries, you got the job done that’s what matters. There’s a mil ways to skin a cat
How to smoke meats
Recycle reuse it's my theory....
