Just received mine here a few days ago and installing it this afternoon. I can't believe how quickly it arrived here to Utah. Looks like a quality product. Thanks!
Fitted mine at the beginning of the week and very happy with it. As a toolmaker the plastic, construction finish and tolerances give this product a thumbs up. Nice product Steve. I have invented and patented products in the past and Know how challenging it can be. Nice touch including all the screws required and Driver. Finally, the instructions were very clear and precise. 10/10
Hello, we received the AMMO GUARD Headlight Protector kit, we mounted it on our GS 1250 and I thank you for the quality of manufacturing and the packaging of the product which is really qualitative. Very simple assembly and made magnificent. A great one from France.
I ordered my Ammo Guard on Sunday evening, here in Ottawa (Canada). It’s mid-afternoon Wednesday, less than 72 hours later, and it’s already in my hands. Hats off to DHL, and to A Bike Thing. Product feels, and looks, high quality. Can’t wait to fit it to my 2023 1250GS.
Received mine a couple days ago, haven't got it fitted yet. But, it arrived in perfect condition and packaged very well, instructions included were very clear and well written. Thanks for a great product. Hopefully I can get it on my bike this weekend.
@A BIKE THING Great product Steve. Installation was simple and straight forward. I pre-ordered and was bummed it didn't arrive until after I was 7 days into a 21 day trip, but was in no way going to cancel my order. Thank you for delaying it to ensure the product was up to your high standards. Love the mirrored lens, but not how much it dims the headlight, but hey, everything in life is a compromise. Could you please make replacement foam gaskets available? Thank you again.
Amazing product brother. DHL did an amazing job getting that package to me here in California in less than 48hrs I was shocked. Looks killer on the bike too.
When you say use the longer screws to put the bezel back in... Mine are a fine thread opposite of what came out. The two shorter ones match though. So they're ok to force in there?
If your new product is a module which stops the brake light function on the combined indicators I'm in... 1 ride with friends on my new GS and already they're complaining that when I brake my rear indicators get hidden by the brake light. Oh and I received and fitted my Ammo Guard, It's a quality piece and that's looking at it with the eye of a former Calibration tech and engine builder. It also looks fantastic on the bike with the Amber filter making all the DRL match.. I love it.
Best design for me, I hate the other "double layered" protectors on the market. That said, I've a question: given the moving nature of the Adaptive Headlight on the "X" side, won't you have a strange effect, especially at night, when the headlight is rolling left and right with the amber (or any other color) thing inside? I know you can take it off, as you pointed in this video, but still... just a curiosity.
I'm sure that whatever this new product is and you have confidence in it just like you have with the Ammo Guard that you are stocking it/manufacturing it as we speak?
Have you tried the Carpuride W702 or the Chigee Aio-5 Carplay screens? I know it is another topic, but you are an expert and I would like to hear your opinion
Can I ask ... the mirror lens, dose it matter what way round the glass is or is it like a 2 way mirror ... ie one way is more mirror then the other way
Are the color filters and the mirrored lens legal in the UK? I'm in the US and I don't think they're legal. That doesn't mean I haven't ordered one and I won't be trying it out next week... Just wondering if I should remove it for annual inspections.
In Uk, all headlight covers are illegal and as far as I thought this is the same in all countries with the US not being an exception. As soon as you place anything in front of your headlight you’re adjusting the way the light is refracting / intended to be by the manufacturer. People still put them on their bikes regardless 🤷♂️
Can anyone tell me the difference the Amber one makes to your light beam at night ? I currently have an Amber fold down one which I fold down at night to get my standard white OEM beam / brightness.
I think it’s just gone up to £10 now. We won’t use cheap courier services. We ship out over 100 products a day and need a reliable courier that gets the shipment there on time and in one piece. Yes we do pass this cost of shipping onto the customer albeit we actually offset it a little bit too. Shipping is expensive. Companies offering free shipping or cheaper shipping are slowly decreasing their bottom line. For the likes of Amazon this is ok but for the SMB it can be catastrophic.
Perhaps you should stop making videos and sort out your postal arrangements? Rude emails don’t make long customer relationships. You need to work on your customers and not blame them for your shortcomings.
Re pesky customers 14.05 .........Be good if A bike thing had a phone number available so one can call direct instead of messaging over you tube or web site, waiting hopefully for a reply. your CUSTOMERS have been very patient Steve! .
We reply to all emails. We get 100+ emails a day. How do you think offering a phone line will improve this? bearing in mind 5 to 10 emails can be responded to at the same time as a phone call? Also we're in a noisy workshop environment and we are constantly interrupting each other to get answers we need to help others. A phone call is NOT the way to communicate in a small business unless you're dealing with a handful of customers a day or we have more staff, bigger premises, call centre with people who can't answer all the Q's. The important thing to take away from this is that we do reply to all emails.
Well you need to find a better way to communicate. Seven weeks after you have my $ I have an order # that I can’t look up anywhere. Sending the order # twice didn’t help!
The answer is we won’t ever be making pre orders a thing anymore. The customers consume a huge amount of resources just dealing with emails. Lesson learned my end. My thoughts are if we go down the route of offering a phone line, well then we should come offline and only people who can travel to us will benefit of the products we offer. This will hugely reduce sales and enquiries which will then free up our time to offer phone support. But, we’re online, this is the business model therefore every aspect of the business is online.
Personally as a small dedicated company that makes, supplies too class bespoke gear I think patience is in order. Annoying for sure, but the wait is worth it. Please Don’t go corporate!

Thanks for the fitting instructions, and just to say I love the product on my bike 👍👍

Just fitted mind and I’m over the moon with it 👍
Just fitted mine so chuffed 👍

Does look really good

Just ordered this and waiting on it through the post!
Just fitting mine. The 4 tiny washers have dropped out. Do they go between the clear lense and the housing at the rubber seal?

Sounds like an awesome road trip
Ohh, what’s coming. Is it an oem fog button to control the hex and additional lighting????
13:30
what was it?
I'm sure that whatever this new product is and you have confidence in it just like you have with the Ammo Guard that you are stocking it/manufacturing it as we speak?
We are. Just don’t want to offer any pre orders on this one. We’re filming offsite this Friday to hopefully launch in a couple of weeks
Have you tried the Carpuride W702 or the Chigee Aio-5 Carplay screens? I know it is another topic, but you are an expert and I would like to hear your opinion
We’re stocking the Chigee
Something to sort the indicator issue hopefully
Can I ask ... the mirror lens, dose it matter what way round the glass is or is it like a 2 way mirror ... ie one way is more mirror then the other way
You can only put it in one way. You can see a cut out around the lenses that match up to the ammo bezel

Don’t forget the amber only covers the drl element of the headlight. The main beam still shines through the clear section of the headlight.
I received my ammo guard two months ago, everything was correct, good finish and well packaged. It's a shame the Chinese copied it from you.
It’s only a shame for those who buy it as we bought one and have fitted it. It looks good but it doesn’t work against rain, washing etc
Still waiting on a headlight from BMW!
PLEASE let the new product be a Can-Opener for the V4 Multistrada.
Superb bit of kit .Easy to fit and looks perfect 🤩 #100%worththewait

The P&P is expensive for the UK £9 😳
