- Since Michigan Leaf Season is very heavy, I have had many opportunities to film compost later in the day after school. Some routes run until 8-9 at night.
Here is a very nice older Mack MR under the classic Leach 2rII. My favorite combo. The Dayton style rims make this truck even better. Beautiful growls from the Mack, and a pretty chill crew completes this truck.

Great video! These Midwestern leaf collections always entertain me. That truck sound sweet (love the driving shots) and paired with a fast, professional crew led for fantastic footage. Cant wait to see more!

what a fun truck, leaches never do get old, especially working on them or watching in person.
No sir they do not. Unfortunately they're slowly disappearing in favor of newer McNeilus and Heils.
garbageproductions1 which is a shame because Leach now makes a packer that can be faster than Mcneilus, AND has higher displacement--3.5 cubic yards versus mcneilus' 3 cubic yards.
A handful of drivers actually prefer McNeilus. At WM it's split 50/50.

This was filmed in Lincoln Park, I'm pretty sure it's still at the Canton yard.

So they have to stay out until the route is finished no matter what? In my town during the fall leaf season they work until 7pm picking up leaves and whatever they don't finish they will get early the next morning!
Pretty much. It sucks, but you have to get the job done!
Makes sense! I like that system better! Because here the more backed up they get then they have to work most of the day on Saturday just to get caught up before the new week begins!

I meant he was in a bit of a hurry that's all dude I have never said anything bad about your stuff we have a right too speak our on opinion didn't say he was doing anything bad i just thought he could slow down just a bit he did have a guy on the back you always say safety first that's what i was talking about not crazy like doing 40 down the street its all about keeping the swamper safe don't want him too get hurt
Great video Harrison! Absolutely love this truck! Love that throaty growl! What year is this truck, 1998? Does it have the E7 and the Allison 740? Please get more footage of this truck, especially a run through the gears. I want to hear this truck shift through each gear! Let me know.
Thanks! It's definitely 2001 or earlier, I'll ask the next time I see it. I'm pretty sure it does have the E7, not sure about the transmission. I'm making more video of this truck a top priority come summer. Until then, I have plenty of amazing sounding Macks that I'll be posting!
