I love the haul / unhaul / bookstore / slice of life / vloggy-style videos. I know they're not your favorite to make and that you do it for subs like me who love them, so BIG THANK YOU!!!! 🥰
😁😁😁😁
I really love all of her videos!
The book designs starting at 1:23 are stunning!
I can hear Daniel saying "take 30 seconds to dust your shelf, you know you are going to take a picture" so day one of asking Merph to send him a pic of her bookshelfs i guess
Just here to say that since I discovered your channel because of onepiece my life has changed a lot because of you I started to read a lot more books not just manga and I wanna thank you for all your work Merph you are truly my favourite RUclipsr out there keep up the great work and just be your self you are amazing

@@merphynapier42 no problem just the truth🤙🏿
I found so many books that I now have on my reading list on here! I have bought one of them so far.
That’s really cool!
Hey Merphy! I'm from Puerto Rico and am so happy that you enjoyed our island so much it's inspired you to learn spanish!!
What a fun video to procrastinate with!
I know!!
Love the law hoodie ❤
It is so cute
That Law Hoodie looks great and where can I buy one??
You can get it on Amazon for 25 usd
Just asking … can you send the link?

@@errexe0 Thank you!
@@britneynicole8903 welcome bro ;)
As a smaller town dweller that bookstore made me drool. Also I love all your videos, but as someone horrifically picky about my bookshelves and their organization, I adored this video.
I found your channel last week and have binged so many of your videos. Thanks for making great content for us all to enjoy.
You have ascendance of a bookworm! I’m so happy it’s one of my favorite light novels thats wholesome. Can’t wait for you to read and give insights to this series ❤ your videos are great, keep up with the hard work
I am looking forward to hearing her thoughts about it!
It's clear as day at 7:53, The faces on the cover of Part 1 Volume 3 can be seen. So excited to hear what she will have to say about it
Oh look. A bot scammer
@@hewstonwehaveaproblem Knew something was fishy about that comment
Oh my goodness! I have that same black bookshelf and it ALSO broke in half like that a couple years ago. We turned it into bookshelves for our kids 😊
“But first, before we do all of that - we need to go to the bookstore😁✨” Mood
For what it's worth, I really didn't jive with The Starless Sea, but The Night Circus is one of my top five favorite books ever. Actually some of it is set around Halloween, so this would be the perfect time of year to give it a go. I loved the mildly spooky, really creative circus setting, the deeply messed up magical competition, and the found family element.
What is The Night Circus about?
@@britneynicole8903 Several timelines and characters, but the main ones are two magicians being made to compete by their mentors, who trained them in opposite styles of magic to try to prove which style is best. The setting of the competition is a circus that only opens at night, and of course many people who work at the circus get wrapped up in the effects of the competition. There are seemingly magical midnight dinner parties, twin acrobats born on opening night, magical contracts formed with rings that have a magic brand, a fortune teller that doesn't believe her own card readings until they start to become too accurate... It's hard to discuss too much without ruining some reveals. Here's an example of one of the tents: you stumble upon a tent flap that looks like it might be for an exhibit, or might have been left slightly open by a circus performer. Inside is a table covered in corked, empty bottles, but if you uncork one, the scent from the bottle contains an entire story, wind on your face, your pirate captain shouting orders, the smell of the sea, the glint of the mutinous knife behind your back... Until you open your eyes and find yourself still alone in the dimly lit tent. If that's your kind of thing then The Night Circus would be a super fun read!
@@caitmcg4382 Wow! That book sounds incredible and so much fun!
I got this book for my birthday once, but the slow start has thrown me of several times now. I probably just need to get through the beginning and take some quiet time to read it, but I've not yet found the right moment for it
@@zhoradaiyu5184 I find that switching between my nook and the physical copy of a book really help me to get through the slow parts. I do not know if it is just me, but I find it much more enjoyable to read on my NOOK.
16:24 I read The Night Circus twice. I enjoyed it more the first time around. in my second read through, I couldn’t shake the feeling that the main leads were brainwashed into falling in love with each other.
It's so much fun to reorganize books and bookshelves! Nice haul too. I love the writing of SIlvia Moreno-Garcia.
Great video :) I really enjoy hauls and unhauls and you had both in the same video;) I'm learning Spanish, too! I'm taking a night class.
Hello hun, I live in Puerto Rico 😊. I’m so happy you loved our island!!!!! And we truly appreciate other language speakers trying to learn Spanish to connect with us 🫂🫂. Hopefully, you could do the meet up whenever you come back. I’ll truly be there! 🫶🏼🦋
I am listening to this as I am reorganising my books. I swapped my spare bedroom and my library room and have been taking the time to record everything that I own and sort them into groups a lot better then I had previously.
That is a great idea.
I need to move my unhauled books that I have not gotten rid of yet into my office. I am sick of my cat crawling all over them at five in the morning and scaring me.
I'm so excited for your reading of the new Abercrombie trilogy. It is mind blowing and I'm super curious for your reactions
Omg merph I love the law jacket!
I SAW THAT VAGABOND OMNIBUS LETS GOOO my fav manga😍
@9:10 LMAO!!😆😆 .... Hands down my all-time favorite booktuber right here. Smart, clever, creative and hilarious!! This one was cozy and very enjoyable. Thanks for these great videos Merphy. 👍😁
I always like the way you look at a book when you’re at a bookstore. Those expressions 🤩😍
Murphy getting A Little Hatred just sent the First Law fans into a Age of Madness waiting for her reviews
Me too!
It’s fantastic that you bought a language learning book!!! Ever since I found your channel I’ve been using it as a listening English practice routine :)
I bought so many books when I was taking German!
@@britneynicole8903 any suggestions? I have to learn but not sure where to start lol
@@Jenniferdiz535 I bought the For Dummies book, German Demystified, and a German-to-English dictionary. There were some other ones, but I cannot remember them. If you want me to, I can try to look for the rest of them and let you know.
That's a library level of book collection!
Actually, the first video of hers I ever watched I thought she was sitting in a library or bookstore.
Awesome!! Puertorican here, just to say that PR has a really diverse ecosystem and you will find that PR has a very unique dialect of spanish. Exito con el español, and hope you visit soon!!
Hi Merphy, I'm from Puerto Rico. What a surprise it was when you started talking about Puerto Rico in your sponsorship, just wanted to say hi. Glad that you enjoyed your visit here.
Shelves looking good now. I was hoping to see Azumanga Daioh in your book haul. Have a great day.
Book recommendation for you!
The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels.
Super funny, witty read about women with "battle houses" and a pretty fun romance.
Love a good unhaul!
Her wearing Laws hoodie is so fitting w the recent chapter! 😂 No spoilers tho 😎
I need to know where she got that law hoodie
I can try to find the link.
I live reorganising my bookshelf far too much and this has just made me wanna do it again… but I have a haul coming soon so I can reorganise this when they arrive
I remember enjoying The Hum and the Shiver, it was an interesting look at how the fey might have ended up integrating into our world. I think it is the first part of a series, but i guess I was never ambitious enough to track down the rest
Love a good bookshelf organisational video 😍
They are so calming!
Merphy please please please try Mushishi manga. It is perfect for spooky Halloween but not really spooky. I would describe it as calming horror which is weird but in all this time I have not managed to find another book/manga/anime/show that could capture the same vibe as this. Its something special.
Every chapter ends with the current stuff being resolved and then we move onto the next with our protagonist. Both the manga and anime are amazing. So please either watch 1 episode or read 1 chapter of it. In anime every episode is a standalone so there's never a cliffhanger.
I’m sorry you really missed out merphy! The sweetest remedy was so good!!
"The tales of Eli Monpress"and the rest of the Michael J Sullivan "Riyeria" series are just sitting there. Waiting for Merphy to realize how much she loves them.
Those sound like great books!
Sweet, I saw Monster by Urasawa there. Can't wait for you to start that series!
Love your Trafalgar jacket :)
I’m in the middle of a dehaul right now. I’ve got piles and piles of books on the floor with no shelf. Decided to build another shelf but it still won’t be enough room. Ugh, the struggle.
The night circus is my favorite book of all time ❤
I love her lyrical writing and how immersed I felt in the circus. The starless sea I didn’t like as much.
sucks because there are SO MANY AMAZING characters in the night circus.... ugh.
i perked up when Merphy mentioned The Night Circus but then immediately deflated lol. understandable because i was a bit underwhelmed by The Starless Sea.
@@JasperAyeee Which came out first? the Night Circus or the Starless Sea?
@@britneynicole8903 The Night Circus was Erin Morgenstern's debut novel in 2011
@@JasperAyeee Oh okay! Thank you so much!
Great unhaul and haul 📚☕🪴🎃🦇
So excited to hear your thoughts on A Little Hatred! I would do anything to read that trilogy for the first time again.
That looks like a very good book! I am looking forward to hearing what she thinks as well!
Her law cosplay on point! Iykyk
Hi Merphy! I’m from Puerto Rico 🥺 so happy that you liked it! I read books myself but I actually found your channel because of your One Piece reviews. One Piece is my favorite anime and loved watching your reviews as a sort of recap but also loved the fact that we love the same things about One Piece. (Fights being one of the less important aspects of the story haha) ❤️
How do you prefer to watch One Piece? with the subtitles or the dubbed version?
@@britneynicole8903 Definitely with the subtitles. I’ve been watching anime since I was little so I’m used to watching with subs. I rarely watch something dubbed, those cases being that people say it’s actually better than the original (Cowboy Bebop, Hellsing Ultimate or Dragon Ball)
@@shy7128 I watched InuYasha with the subtitles and the battle scenes, I felt were so much more epic, were so much better with the subtitles. Also, the voice actor was incredible.
I really loved this video! I watched it while I made my morning coffee and it just gave me easygoing, cozy vibes. ♥ I had a thought--I'm not sure if you live near the Pacific Northwest, or if you've ever been out this way, but if you're ever in the neighborhood, you ought to visit Powell's City of Books on Burnside in Portland! Powell's other locations are great too, but the one on Burnside is the size of a city block and five stories tall, and just filled with so many books that often don't make it on the shelves of B&N! It's a reader's paradise! 📚🥰 Just figured I'd put it on your radar if you ever visit Oregon! 😁
When I first woke up, I saw that she posted and I got so excited!
Those are great prices for those books! My bookstore doesn’t have anything under $20. Not even kid books.
Those "halloween" books in the bookshop 😍
How i wish we live in the same town! Imagine all the books the local libarary will have for me to read 😆
Yesss!!! Red country is soooo good
I need to do some more unhauling too!
Trips to bookstores are fun and necessary. 📚🥰🤩😍❤️
Yes. I get lost in there. It is a real problem 😁😁
During my freshmen year of college, I would walk to the bookstore every Friday. I would spend hours there and I was amazinggg!
Merphy's explanation of You Made Out Of Death With Your Beauty kinda fits why she dropped Fruits Basket lol
Great video!
Laws jacket, I love it!!!
🥹 I hated „The Invisible Library“! It was so stupid (+ I read in German and it was the first time I got it, when people say the translation is bad - it was really bad! And full of grammar mistakes (sie/she instead of Sie/you (formal you) and the same with ihr/her and Ihr/your - a lot of people have problems with that, but that’s the f… job of an editor and other people at a publishing company to not let this happen). I can’t believe there are eight books of this series 🙈. So it’s really good to here there are others like me out there 😄. Especially one of my favorite booktubers!
Heck yeah! Vlog time
I want to try some Joe Abercrombie books and his book covers are incredible!
Do it!
agreed, gorgeous covers!
Great video! I have to say you are so pretty !!! ❤️❤️
I have read OP chapter 1063 and i saw this 1:44
Me: "Law, is that you?"
🤣
I had a weird dream last night about the author of Lies of Locke Lamora, I read the book a long time ago and it definitely wasn't my favorite, so now I am thinking your bookshelf is affecting me unconsciously, Merphy.
Silvia Moreno-Garcia is a very prolific author, so there are others to try. Thanks for sharing your bookshelves with us!
Which books of hers have you tried? I am considering reading Mexican Gothic, but I am not sure at the moment.
@@britneynicole8903 The Beautiful Ones and Gods of Jade and Shadow are both very good.
@@suzannemoore404 Thank you!
Merphy, for Spanish I would recommend the app Pimsleur.
It teaches you how to participate in conversations from day 1. I speak Spanish fluently from school, but used it to learn German before my trip. I spent about 1 month doing level 1 and could ask for directions, make plans, shop, purchase food, etc. it has been so helpful to me because duolingo and babble were not working. I even prefer it to my college level Spanish classes because its much quicker!
I have a lot of people at work who speak other language, and they’re always amazed by how quickly I learn the basics and because it focuses on pronunciation they are even more surprised!
You might like the beautiful ones by silvia moreno garcia, it has some pride and prejudice vibes. so far it's my favorite book of the year.
thats a nice jacket you got there. looks like the good law
When you picked up A River Enchanted in the bookstore clipI wanted to yell, “Don’t do it! It’s boring!”😂
OMG I almost put "you can have my bougie illumicrate edition for the cost of shipping!" lol. man I thought id love it! a bardic fantasy?! YES PLS! but wow... it really should just be described as a "political villages fantasy"
Welcome to The Age of Madness. I hope to see reviews on the books.
Oh my god 1:52 i have that same jacket. xD fun video
OOo what is that blue peter pan book set? I must have!
I tried The Dating Plan, and from what I can remember (I hope I am not getting another book confused with this one), it had some software language in it. I just thought I would let you guys know because I was not expecting that.
I loved the journey of this ❤️
Romance rec for you: Seven Days in June
So sad about that Night Circus to go 🙈
I LOVE it, but hated the Starless sea 😅
right?!
Retribution falls was recommended as a similar book to Firefly.
It's not great, but a good, fun action based read.
The first book was not great about representing the characters strengths. The character relationships evolve over the course of the series.
I really enjoy your content and wanted to shout out a newer manga series which you may enjoy.
Toshokan no Daimajutsushi (Magus of the Library) by Mitsu Izumi.
It involves librarians in a fantasy world who are trying to promote/maintain peace as well as protect history/culture by offering free and uncensored access to texts.
Highly recommend you give it a shot even if you don't cover it on either of your channels.
Hey Mirabel!!!!🎉

casually rocking that law jacket (y)
Does anyone know which edition of Peter Pan Merphy has displayed? It is so pretty!
I have just started the First Law trilogy for the first time. Joe Abercrombie is amazing. The narrator is great too (doing audiobook), but I am just in love with his prose and characters. I am so happy there are so many books of his that I still have left to read!
I didn't love The Night Circus. It was fine. The ambience and use of language is nice, but it didn't really make me feel or think and...yeah. glad to have read it, but wouldn't recommend it and am not very interested in reading more by the author.
I feel this is a topic many book readers experience, lol. Where did you purchase those really pretty bookcases always featured in the background? I'm in the market for sturdy and aesthetically pleasing bookcases.
honestly everytime i walk into a bookstore it is like candy land for me!!!...my friends don't get it 😢
idk if you take requests or not but there's this really short female mma manga called Teppu. It has an interesting take on talent vs hardwork.
Yayyy I am early!! Woo 😁
I love your Law hoodie! Where did you get it?
Between Shades Of Gray is a VERY emotionally heavy book so I can see it taking a bit of a toll to read however it is a great book and would love to here if you reconider giving it another chance.
Undulate for the algo
Oh my word 😂😮

I’m interested in which version of the complete fiction of h.p. lovecraft you have?
I wish you would read Night of Knives by Ian Esslemont.🙃
I haven't read the newest books by Silvia Moreno-Garcia yet but I read Gods of Jade and Shadow and really liked it! Just dropping it here in case you're ever interested.
I was going to suggest Gods of Jade and Shadow too.
How long were the first two books in the Beartown trilogy?
When you unhaul books, do sell or donate them ?
Since you mentioned you dog eared that page and sometimes you would have stickie notes .
What's your opinion on Bookmarks? Do you have a "special" one
Okay, but have you read A Gentleman in Moscow? I get the impression you’re not much for historical fiction, but it’s only barrrely that. It’s character character all the way, and I predict you will adorrre this main character’s charm and wit and just … just … perfection. I feel like you need to know him. And while I haven’t read The Lincoln Hwy yet, I’m now convinced Amor Towles can do no wrong.
YESSSSSS. That was my thought too when Lincoln Highway just went into the pile without much comment. A Gentleman in Moscow is one of my all-time favourite books and I am not a historical fiction reader at all. So beautiful.
The Lincoln Highway was alright for me - but not on the same level as A Gentleman in Moscow!
omg I discounted it because... I was just historical fictioned OUT.... but maybe ill give it a spot on the mile long tbr now!
@@eliotopian You won’t regret it!
Sweet hoodie Merphy...and do you have 1000 books coz that means your book collection can be called a library.
Since Halloween is around the corner may I suggest the graphic novel Blackhole by Charles Burns (a body horror book).
Lasty, to say the audiobook of THE SANDMAN is EPIC is an understatemant...please get it Merphy the production is way better than any STAR WARS books.
Why was I thinking the same thing?
