6 Tips to Instantly Improve at Apex Legends
6 Tips from an Apex Legends Coach
How to Improve from an Apex Legends coach
My KDR is the highest its ever been this season and i attribute much of my progress to these videos! Keep up the great work!
@@DoubleDowner I feel this in my core. I get so into this game it may be unhealthy lol im the opposite, apex is the first real fps ive played so i was absolutely terrible to begin with. I started with a KDR of like .30 and ive had a tough time getting past .75 until now. Today im at 1.35 exactly. I think the biggest thing for me is learning when to engage and when to leave it alone. Ive also stopped running in to save teammates thats get insta downed. The other thing i was doing wrong was not playing the meta, i love the tripletake and would rarely pass one by without picking it up, which put me at a clear disadvantage every close quarter fight. Im using more smgs and shotguns now and its made a clear difference. I hope you find whatever you need to enjoy the game again my friend!
Agreed
Same!
@@DoubleDowner just use different settings
@@DoubleDowner u want my settings? I can give them to you later today i use ALC’s if you use the regular settings i reccomend 6-5 or 5-4 on classic
This man really knows what he’s talking about. I recently got coached by him and I now do more damage and win more games. Highly recommend his coaching
How much $?
Unless you’re a pro don’t waste money on this shit like for what
How much did it cost?
@@servalkorion686 Not really a waste of money if you got the money to waste bro
@@servalkorion686 if you got the money why not? your money to spend.
I watched a ton of your videos when I first started playing and got a ton of game sense from you. I will still watch your vids now just to see how you play certain scenarios to give myself ideas in the middle of a fight. I love your content man
I appreciate that
@@MangosInTrees How much does your coaching cost man?
1- 0:24 Don't play on autopilot
2- 1:42 Warmup and train
3- 3:49 Play with better players and learn from them
4- 5:06 Get the most out of your playtime
5- 7:07 Be confident
6- 8:16 Dont overwhelm yourself
I can say...having a teammate(s) can help you instantly improve.
It helps to say the least, *TRUST ME*
i can say try to break the meta.
every level plays a certain way, yes their are outliers but when you do.
Try and see what guns/legends they use,how do they move, when do they use their abilities.
(This differs in locations)
Once you get that down...try and see how you can respond to it.
What can you tell your team, what can you/team can and can't do,And capitalize on it.
TLDR:
The best way to get better...is to always get beat a couple times,
Just dont feel bad every time you fall.
Thanks for reading :)
Whenever my buddy tries a new legend and asks how to play em, my first thing to say is think about how that legend has kicked your ass
@@jedediahcoulbourne1791
Perfect...but tell them if that character is a wallhack, agrro, movement or defensive base character.
So they know what that character accel in.
I started the game 3 days ago.I'm currently level 18.I learn to play the game faster by watching alot of streamers(just game mechanics) but i suck at movement, aim and doing things fast.I need friends to play with,i don't have anyone to play with and the randoms i meet just don't agree to become friends💀.I love Apex, it's such a gamer game (i can't put it into words).I love the intensity and the concept of the game and especially the cool characters like Ash,Valkyrie and Wattson though i don't own any of them yet.I got a golden quality Flatline skin yesterday and i love it,if that's rare.
@@colorblind7199 i I 2 bits of advice for ya. Check the discord for squadies and learn to play 3 legends decently. You can have a main that you rock at but always have 2 back ups in case you pick last and everyone stole your mains
@@jedediahcoulbourne1791 I'll get Ash as my first legend and main her. Also can you share the discord link?
Luv the background music. Super chill and positive, the way you gotta be to play apex well. It's like golf
Couldn't have said it any better. Your commentary was very well articulated and highlighted a lot of key spots that players subconsciously miss. Well done with production as well!
Great tips as always, particularly the one on fighting more and not looting for 5-10 mins. Also, very ironic that the newest update for Kovaak's today makes it unusable for me, so I also went on the Firing Range to warm-up instead.
Also, for anyone on the fence about coaching, I can wholeheartedly vouch for Mangos and his skill both as a player and coach. Well on your way to 100K!
@Ruska Are you joking bro? If I go into aimlabs before getting into game, I hit so many more shots than I do if I just go into game without warming up
@Ruska ohhh lmaooo my bad
when Mango uploads, I gotta watch it. keep uploading videos like this, it helps me so much and its so organized.
Yes it really does help. Hope he hits 100k
I like how you delivered the tips no bs, my only thing is i never know what mistakes i did make to end up improving on or if its not that its just that i miss too many shots or miss all my shots which feels very inconsistent form game to game because of me, im hoping that form trying those aiming drills and 1v1ing my friends i can hopefully have a more consistent aim form game to game.
i haven’t seen any luck or improvement in my skills lately, i have a lot of experience with fps & i feel like i put in a lot of hours to the game & in the firing range as prep for matches but i constantly get outplayed. i can aim & my movement is decent or enough for controller i guess. i can make good decisions on what i feel should be more beneficial to me or my team’s longevity in the match but im still losing a lot of gun fights. Im not loot hungry & i try to put myself into fights to gain more experience & better knowledge but it definitely still just feels like the enemy is always just better than me. i watch a lot of your videos & im still working on trying to practice your coaching in my matches but its been frustrating to say the least. my squad considers me the best or the leader or sweatiest but i see i still can’t carry my team to win more games & fights. at this point im not sure what can really help
Maybe positioning? Or knowing when to disengage certain fights you know you’re more than likely going to lose and reposition? Idk bro just trying to spitball ideas. Hopefully you find your issue and get past it bro because I feel get into that situation too
@@danielg7220 i appreciate the reply, ill see about analyzing positioning too in my games, now that you mention it i know positioning is something im not always aware of. Less so for like team based positioning, but like my own sort of 1v1 or 1v2 positioning. ill have to do some digging & work on that
@@plasmaticname6 I was exactly where you are in season 12, in season ‘13 the wins started coming through. I promise as you play something else will click and you’ll reach the next level
Hi mango. This video is the first bit of content I've watch from you. I gotta say you made me feel motivated to jump on and play. I pretty much play solo and have not been enjoying season 13 I feel matchmaking has been putting me in lobbies way above my skill level. But what you said about playing against and with player who are better and staying close watching how they move round the map. I will deffo be trying to do this. And playing with confidence aswell. Which I find hard to do as soon as I see that triple stack pred/master team with 20bombs on the champion squad. I will be going through your content and giving a sub and hoping my gameplay will improve oflr at least my attitude going into a game.
2:42 bro… slowly building up attachments in the range, genius. I’ve never thought to do that
I’ve been playing since launch and always click on these kinds of videos, perspective is everything and has helped me out of so many low points in games
Your videos have changed my life man, thanks so much!
Thanks for such a great comment 😎
Love your videos man! I've improved alot all around from all the consistent tips you're putting out.
I like a lot of apex content creators , but I definitely just subbed . Your content is precise , clear and just to the point . Thanks bro
If you play on console and own Overwatch there are various custom games/codes that are the closest to Aim Training that I’ve seen.
If you do not, I’d recommend doing drills in the practice range against the moving targets or do the “Attack Dummies” bug.
Another great video with top content. Tip 5 is very interesting to think about. I know my main problem with playing Apex lies there and it's good to be mindful of what affects your game in terms of confidence or negativity.
I understand that need to build up momentum from the start of a game but usually most of the randoms want to land at populated locations (maybe 5 squads +-?). During that what frustrates me is that 90% of the time I end up getting like a P20, Mozam, etc (which isn't bad or anything) but when I have to 1v1 someone, 70-90% of the time they got some full auto weapon with better shields which just instantly knocks me? And Honestly I always ping at the start of a game and the jump master doesn't bother to acknowledge or even respond? And to those who did I hope God blesses them 🙏🏽. Sometimes I wonder do ppl even know there's a ping/response system?
Split off from your team 8 times out of 10 they ll end up following you, never go for bins unless all buildings are populated cus ground loot is always better than bin loot, if possible drop outside of the hot drop area to get some weapons and heals but sometimes rng is just bad and thats out of your control
@@pspspspsps44 Thanks for the tip man idk why I always thought bin loots would be better and almost every time I'd go towards them. Tbh the split off usually doesn't work like for example at fragment most randoms would wanna land at the broken building right beside the station but I always tell them no and opt to go to the buildings on the other side of the station near the tracks cos I can see many squads are heading towards the broken building. But they are always adamant and I'd not go there cos I know more squads= less loot for me at that building. But almost no on wants to listen to me. And rng to me has always been bad maybe I'm just unlucky and these 2 main reasons were why I took a break from apex from seasons 5-9 ish plus the fact that my friends also lost interest for a bit. I've been playing since season 0 and honestly I can't believe there are still so many ignorant players in apex, regardless of their levels. But since season 11 onwards I've gotten my interest back and I kinda force myself to play with randoms as at times I meet genuinely good teammates and I occasionally get to play with my friends. Hope you have a great day friend!
@@vikramaugustine9807 I get you, What randoms do is out of your control i guess landing safe is always better than landing and not getting a gun, Land at a small building where ppl dont go and just get a few starting weapons and heals then you can third other teams and get their loot. Randoms rlly think theyre Aceu and itztimmy landing at streamer building but always get down and leave, thats just how it is ig
Wraith main: Hey lets land over there even tho there's like 10 squads here 🙂
10 seconds later: *disconnects*
@@_darknight134 I mean you get better by being placed in uncomfortable situations but that doesnt mean you need to play dumb
Im a be honest cause of how good your vis are at teaching and coaching players to get better. i listen to your vids and tips while playing apex cause of how godly the tips are im improving and getting back to how good i was in my prime so keep up the great content man
Arenas also underrated for improving in gun fights and team work
Never hot drop. Warm drop instead. Drop on the outer edge of a hot POI where multiple teams are landing. Loot super fast and rotate in to take the third party. Your less subject to RNG this way and you'll still see action very early game.
Sticking to a teammate is an excellent strategy that allow you to team shoot people even without communication. Don't wander off looting by yourself, it's a very bad habit.
I disagree. If you want to get better fast you need to put yourself in those chaotic situations where you are at a disadvantage, and then try to figure out how to come out of it alive, and do it over and over WHILE being mindful of how to go about it. Watch any top level pro in the game right now and they’ll tell you the same thing.
One of the best tips and tricks video I've ever seen. Learning from each death after the match was my fav
These videos are so good thanks for putting in so much time to help others
Great vid as a strictly solo q Player (No Friends) I find it hard match after match to maintain my consistent decent play when playing with randoms it’s hard to mesh with people with no mics
The subtle humor in this guys dialogue is amazing
I've just started playing I'd say I'm "decent" at FPS games but boy do I get destroyed in an instant on Apex. I'm going to try and use these tips to help.
I would say for getting familiar with weapons non-ranked arenas is also great
This is So helpful! I’m new to the game however I’ve been slaying out in other shooters all my life, Apex is on a whole other level. The skill gap in this game is endless! Thanks man 👊
this was the first ever video i watched from yor content and im likeing it keep it up
Thank you so much with the tips I will try my best
the first thing you said about being distracted was already a hit on me 😂 I'm trying to hit pred this season man, thank you for the videos.
Literally the best apex video overall I’ve ever seen and learned from!!! Thanks bro 😌👌🏾
Good video but the part about starting your warm ups not fully kitted, throw that out. Always warm up with a fully kitted weapon. 1) to train with the recoil of a fully kitted weapon which is more difficult the longer it goes and 2) warming up with no attachments might lead to bad habits once you do have attachments like reloading too early. So always warm up fully kitted. It’s better for you and you actually notice you’ll still be better during live matches even with an unkitted weapon. Besides that, great video.
I’ve had times where I played on auto pilot with fills like first day of the game and just won, this happens often and i think playing on auto pilot works sometimes (mostly the match after I just get destroyed tho)
yeah, sometimes i'll just listen to music and not play that seriously and i'll do pretty well. not thinking too much can make you do better.
Thanks bro that confidence tip really helps my gameplay🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Some really good tips In this video homie....... They sound simple but they are super important. Hats off to you good sir keep doing what your doing...ur the real MVP bro bro
regarding Tip #3's "play off people better than you": 9/10 times the guys with the insane banner-cards (4k damage, 20bombs, legendary skins etc.) are dying and leaving faster than emptying an R99 with 5 bullets left. The 1/10 though, damn...
Yeah, i always wonder why that random teammate who died instantly and got 46 damage has a masters and 4k badge... they must play completely different when they're with their ranked 3-stack.
@@sleet9289 Or someone who got those unlock by someone else. But who'd do that, right?
@@TheUnrealPrasti oh, of course, no one would do that, never.
7:16 bro says "dont go thinking you're the best" but he gave himself the title of the best apex legends coach
I’m a pretty decent player but I feel like I’m on the edge of being a really good player, and I’m definitely never the worst player in the lobby but there’s definitely some in game decisions that I could make to fix that, plus my hip firing is ass (I’m on console). You kill it on Maggie though btw, I picked up ash as soon as she came out her kit suits my playstyle really well
How much time do you have to spend aim labs to get ready for Apex Legends?
Love the mad Maggie gameplay I fry with her in pubs and ranked
Well said brotha man the coaching really helped again i can't thank you enough
I make good good rotation choices and swapped to controller for a bonus in fights and aim. But fights are pretty tough since it's a team game. If it was solos apex ranked I think I could get pred easy
Bro is a philosopher
This is going to be the season I try to get so much better
Liked before I even watched cuz I know it's gonna be good as always!
Sometimes I like to do something quick and refreshing after every match
I play on autopilot because after work trying to focus only makes you feel demented. That is why my entire purpose in the game is to rack finishers with that one really cool finisher that wraith has.
😭 I was searching for something that could help me I’m going to do what he said do when I get back on
Pubs is only fun on prime time when there is most ppl online. If u play at night for example most of the lobby’s will be full with 3 stacks/masters/preds that try to sweat like it’s ranked so u won’t have that “true” pub experience sadly
This is pure gold
Thanks dude
Only thing I need to work on it getting mad and killing my vibe, once that happens I start doing horrible..
I'm currently on a transition to controller, the one thing i find hard is movement, what button layout is the best for movement? (on a DS4 without paddles)
Jump l3, crouch r3, reload r1, ping square is what I've done to mine and it feels alot smoother, you never have to take your thumbs off the stick to jump crouch or reload then
@@Dopeskunk
that looks like my rocket league set up
i do L1 jump and R1 crouch
You went from mnk to controller, bruh that’s a bad idea, since mnk is more skilled but okay
@@emma6648 i do better on mnk, but i have back problems and leaning forward is painful for me. So yeah. I still want to play, compromise some but I still enjoy it.
Love that your sensitivity isn't ungodly fast
my friends dont play. so im stricktly solo. can b rough trying to practice 1v1s and such.
I had a guy I had to stop playing with because no matter what happened he was always so negative constantly having the "well time to go die and lose this fight" even when we were 3 stacked and vibin together
Idk why but ever sense I choked a 20 bomb I have been trying to get a 20 every single game.. and idk if that’s why I keep dying off drop or possibly making bad decisions. It’s just annoying when I was so close, and I see ppl get/post 20 bombs daily or weekly
now I'm motivated, thank you
Thanks!
sorry for the late response, YT hides these sometimes! Thank you so much
I struggle with keeping a main I'm a versatile person so I want a versatile legend but don't know who.
There isnt exactly a versatile legend, you really just need to play them all and figure out which one fits your playstyle, for example if you like to be fast, agile and rotate around locations and the map, some legends for that would be Octane, Valkyrie, Pathfinder, Loba etc. If you like to be informed on enemy locations and know where they are at all times and give that info to your team aswell, Bloodhound, Crypto and Seer. If you are a support kinda guy who is there to help and heal/protect your team, that would be Lifeline, Gibraltar and so on and on.
Very helpful
thank you
Bro said don’t have fun with your friends 😂
I've been landing hot for weeks and i still havent noticed any Progress
ty mango
Came by to like and comment as I normally do. New profile pic tho 😂 but as usual you never fail to upload the most useful information on the platform. But I totally agree! I like to base my beginning kills/damage off of how I play out the rest of the game. (since I’m shooting for my 4k still) if I can get a good 1200+ damage on a hot drop I’ll proceed to (cautiously of course) push every fight and play in a more aggressive playstyle. But if I only get a small amount of damage then I play it more safe due to the lower probability that I’ll actually drop a 4k. Also, since I’m a Wraith main I practice letting my friends kill me in the firing range and trying my best NOT to leave game atleast for 24 hours a week🤣🤣
Roasted everybody in the first 10 seconds
What havok skin is that? It’s dope!
Any tips for trying to be an igl
Tbh I just watched this vid to hear that soothing voices of yours, no sus intended

I usually get stuck on the otherside of the map if I'm having a conversation
probably weird to
say but i kinda do better when i play on autopilot i notice that i basically pull a moonknight type thing and after the fighting is done im like wow what just happened
Can you explain how to 1v1. Whenever I try it, I always get reset to the beginning of the firing range with with loot. What am I missin?
I think it's funny that the confidence section can also be applied to real life too
Bro not joking this guy made me win way more matches I swear
I wish I had the time for most of these lessons but just too busy with life everyday so guess I’ll just wing it
hey mango, whats your crosshair color. im pretty new and that one looks sick
"Nothing in apex is guaranteed"
Me: what about legend packs and care packages dropping each game?
In PUBS are the lobbies random or is there a SBMM element? We are 3 new players to the game and we are being destroyed by level 500 sweats in almost every game.
You are so good
Why not just play arenas if you want to practice fights? You get fair fights, you get to practice 3v3, you don't have to worry about rng, you don't have to worry about getting third partied, you get to go straight into the fight vs spending time dropping and looting and rotating etc.
Yeah when I first started apex I just did a few arena matches then just went straight to BR I then totally freaked out when it said I was the jump master ( keep in mind I didn’t know the controls such as to pass the jump master on yet) so I went back to arenas for a bit got the hang of it and then managed to do a successful jump master landing without falling off the map or getting immediately killed

@ 1:20 he says something about being distracted is unproductive. Well let me fill you in on a secret. Playing video games is unproductive period. 😂😂😂
Can you make a vid on aim smoothing?
I always heavily blame and think about exactly what went wrong and what we could have fixed quickly
Me: have been in pred 4 times master 2 but still watches the video just cause I am bored
I call bullshit
Bruh i got to diamond 3 times playing solo, but in this season im getting absolutly dogwalked by 3 stack pred and masters in gold what am i supposed to do, i dont usually blame my team mates because its not gonna help me improve, but now i feel like the only way to rankup in ranked is to be a full premade team, soloQ is dead.
Can anyone help me ok so I’m stuck on hip firing sometimes it’s amazing sometimes it’s horrible but I can’t hit none of my hip fire shots with any shotguns
Nothing the reason you lost does help you out, but most times I notice the problem is me 😭
My biggest issue is knowing my mistakes but not knowing how to go about fixing them for good.
Could’ve used this six disappointing ranked matches ago
I would love to get coached by you, what do you charge?

What is the name of this BGM? any source?

Well I am not overconfident its just that I play roller so by default I have no brain. Also pro tip if you don’t want to be triggered or mad, just always be mad. You can’t play bad if you’re mad if you’re mainly mad( you are just bad)
Lose every game because my teammates are always new players (below lvl 20) while the enemies are always lvl 450+ Plat and higher so its like always playing a 1vs3. Im not even that high of a lvl myself Im lvl 31.
