There's a psychology that goes to this decision, Morally it's probably incorrect but I doubt morals matter if it requires sacrificing someone's happiness. Most people wouldn't want to be with a person that has children and if it's none of their business in any way then there's no reason for them to know unless it directly impacts their relationship. Honesty is good and all but when you realize how much it would sacrifice honesty/transparency isn't always the right answer.
Milk Courier But if you think about this way, children are obviously a huge part of a parents life (hopefully) and by not disclosing to a potential partner you’re excluding them from what’s (typically) the most important thing in your life. I think you’d have to try very hard to keep the fact that you have a child from a potential partner but why? Is there some shame of having that child? Why would a parent want to date anyone that wouldn’t be ok with them having children?

As a Father who is divorced and has full custody of my kids, I don't think it's appropriate to hide the fact that you have kids. I agree with your perspective. I am blessed to have found someone who accepts me AND my kids, but she knew about my kids well before we had an interest in each other. Great job steering clear and spreading the word! A lot of people on RUclips should see this, before they find themselves in the same situations.

I'm a single mother, and I completely agree! It is only respectful to disclose such important information. No single parent should bait somebody or guilt trip them, that's incredibly manipulative. Besides, if a parent is honest, they can weed out the people who wouldn't appreciate their kid and instead find someone who would be willing to cherish them. When you're honest right off the bat, your chances of finding a match are much more effective and real.
Edit: also, there are some rude comments saying that "no one wants to date a single parent." Well, you can't speak for everybody, many people are okay with it. Whatever your preference is should be respected, but no need to bring single parents down and write them all off as "undateable." The point is, that single parents need to be open and honest upfront.

My experience with dating apps: i had women try to convert me to their religion, try to move in with me after 2 dates and another talk about marriage after 1 date. I deleted mine for those reasons! Haha so I don't blame you.

It’s dishonest of him to purposely not disclose that information on his profile. It was a manipulation tactic for him to shame women (and yourself) for being selective when dating. He knows that he isn’t as desiresble past his looks but yet he still wants to shame you into choosing him. That isn’t fair!
