@@billydasquid1201 To be fair, the number has been increasing and people often forget that the story of one piece ISNT directly the story of the strawhats. The death of whitebeard was a much bigger impact on story progression than the entirety of romance dawn and fishman island combined, for example. If you look at released numbers and compare that to what happened in the story, its quite reasonable to say its X amount of being done. Hell, odds might even be that 1000 chapters may be only 70% of total chapters released, but contain 80% of the story milestones.

Like how are we going to end this ark, go to raftel, meet dragon have their arc, meet the dragons and have Usopp have his ark, have that giant war Oda was talking about, and finish talking about the void century. This is impossible, We have around 300 more chapters at the least left for it to end, it probably has 6 more years with the author forcing an ending since he's to old for this now.

He already knows the ending, He already knows how to finish every big points in the story. It just takes time, to make the Dialog, and make a good presentation in the manga.

Being born in 96, one piece has been a part of my childhood till now, so this feels weird to think about.
Same born 96. First time saw the anime in german dub. Fell in love since then then they stopped to air it on tv. Later in doffy arc idk how its spelled i rewatched the hole anime its been years now since that arc
I was born in 90, been watching and reading One Piece since 04 during my freshman year of highschool. Hard to imagine that I've been following this piece of media weekly for nearly 20 years, I definitely wouldn't have believed it if someone told me when I was 13. Pff, people complaining about when One Piece will end when Detective Conan has been trucking ahead since 1996 with no end in sight.
The problem with Conan is, the author keep dragging the manga himself (which make it so boring now imo) but he could end it anyday he wants with a final arcs. Compare to One Piece it still has so many unexplored things that only 1 arcs wont make the audience satisfy.

Unlike Naruto and Bleach, where there were no stories left and was just dragging near the end, One Piece still has many stories left to tell. (No offense to Naruto and Bleach fans.)
@@MarioTGP Believe it or not, that's actually a reason to choose One Piece over the competition. Such a unique mish-mash of odd characters with superlatively good world and character-building in the shounen realm. All of One piece's coalesces into such vast and engrossing world, that naruto and bleach fall short in a big way. One Piece is a true 1 of 1. Mind you, i just started following after getting into the series after youtube suggested me a clip from Big Mom's backstory not too long ago. It was the only one of the big three that i did not follow, so there's not too much bias in my statement.
I'd argue that Bleach's final arc was always intended but the problem was earlier arcs (like the Arrancar) were dragged out too long, which destroyed the popularity of the series not to mention Kubo's health and meant the final arc wasn't as good as it should have been.

@@NowhereNarrative even as bleach decreased in quality narratively, the characters were still enjoyable up until the very end, I was especially surprised by how much the sternritters popped the way they did. Bleach has style and character in oddles to the point where after you've given up on the story culminating to some grand finish, ypu could just watch/read for the battles and not really be that disappointed. Bleach managed to stay impressive to me even as it inched closer to a lackluster finale. Naruto didn't have that shine to me near the end because all the characters you have to follow are annoying and have shitty convoluted motivations. I feel like of the new shounen, Yaiba has definitely inherited Bleach's spirit IMO.

I have one thing you didn’t mention that I think is very relevant. Oda gave us one of the best hint about the length of One Piece in two chapter titles.

That isn’t a coincidence. One piece will have a total of 1,200 chapters, with two mega volumes of 600 each.
This number falls perfectly within the scope provided by the evidence in this video, and it would make sense given the two chapter titles.

Yeah. With the end of post war being the halfway point at around chapter 600 I thought it was obvious that the new world would be about 600 chapters too. If you want to equate chapter counts from pre and post timeskip then the end of dressrosa is equivalent to the end of alabasta, the end of whole cake island is equivalent to the end of skypeia, and the end of wano kuni will probably be the equivalent to the end of water 7.

I think it'll be roughly 8 more years. One Piece gonna reach its 30th anniversary. I feel like Wano will last about 3 years or a little more making it 120 to 150. Then they'll be about 5-7 more years since we will have arvs like Elbaf which will be 60 to 80 chapters so thats about a year. Then. I could see there being 2 to 3 more arcs and they'll be 200 chapters in total. Then Raftel lasts over 100 chapters ofc. And finally we have epilpgue chapters maybe 5 to 10. It might be 1290 or 1335 give or take. Thats what I think because there are so many things that still need to be wrapped up that Oda has set up that it might take over 300 to 400 more chapters to get done

Considering what Whitebeard said at marineford, it is unlikely that One Piece will end when Luffy becomes PK. Luffy becomes PK when he finds the One Piece. Whitebeard however said "If someone finds that treasure.."

If I have to sit through a few minutes of "previously on.." to get to fantastic story, animation, and fighting, I'm okay with it. If I have to lose 1/3 of an episode to watching what I just watched and the animation is terrible (I'm looking at you One Piece Whole Cake arc!) it gets frustrating.
I wish some of these animation studios would make versions designed for people watching it via streaming binges. Cut out the intro except every 10th or 20th episode, maybe each time it changes, remove the "Next time" and "Previously on..." you could even stitch some of the episodes together by removing the overlaps and have it play like a movie or longer, less irritating versions of the same thing. I've seen people on RUclips do fan edits with similar type things, there's literally no excuse to not do it.
They can even "reintroduce" the series with the changes I mentioned and make more money by initial sells and the renewed interest in the property. The only cost is the time it would take a competent editor and the person who checks their work for the publisher. I'd guess two work weeks to do it all well. So maybe a couple grand? (Depending on the person they get and their level of clout in the industry. As well as the other person/people checking to make sure they didn't do something by mistake or go rogue during the project.)
That little for something that could be cool... I'd buy it anyway...

I'm 25 Now. And I really hope it ends after I die. I can't imagine a world where there's no new episode coming. Forget best anime and manga, I consider it the best fictional story. It's so well-written that I could sit here listing it's awesomeness for hours. Nothing even comes close.

I think it will end 2027, it will mark the 30th anniversary. 320 chapters more ( 320+950 = 1270) because Oda write around 40 chapters per year, and we all think that Wano arc will be the longest in the series. after that, we have Elbaf, shanks, BB , Raftel and Marijoa. 8 years from now is a safe guess.
Maybe less, Wano won’t last that long anyway as Big Mom is already there and the supernovas too... the only one missing is the Marines, I’d say 2025

One thing to note though, the math for Anime episodes is indeed incorrect as you didn't add the episodes it needs to catch up the current story line before applying the formular you used.

I consider the Timeskip as more or less the halfway-mark. By that personal estimate, this means 120 Volumes and about 1200 Chapters, perhaps a bit more than that. Thus, at the current speed, the final chapter would be released in late 2025 and the final Volume in early 2026, with the Anime ending at around the same time.
Six more years of One Piece sounds like a lot, but they still have a lot to do: Finishing up the Wano and Kaido Arc, the final confrontation with the WG (and Im, whoever he is) and Akainu, the conflict with Blackbeard, the uncovering of the events of the Void Century. Not to mention, we havent even come close to realize most of the Main Characters goals: Sanji needs to find the All Blue, Brook needs to return to Laboum, Nami needs to draw her map, Usopp... still hasnt visited Elbaf yet. Not to mention the One Piece itself...

Elbaf will most definitely be visited, but it's very possible that the crew won't realize their individual dreams within the series. I honestly can't see how Mihawk and Zoro having a big fight at this point would tie into the story, so after the series ends the crew could go their separate ways to fulfill their various dreams. Hell, Luffy might NOT become Pirate King and/or gain the One Piece. Perhaps the adventure will 'continue' as the ultimate ending? My point is, that would allow for Oda to focus on the main plot without having to do Zoro vs Mihawk, All Blue, or even Laboon or Shanks.

The All Blue might be the part that the final island is situated in, Nami can finish her map at the ending, Elbaf as you said will be visited sometime and Brook will probably meet the Swholey Boi at the end too after Luffy is PK, theres many other ways Oda can make it work

Wano definitely feels like the 75% way thru arc. We are facing a Yonko now, and everything is coming to ahead, and aside from the battle for one piece, which a lot of us are assuming is going to happen a la Marine Ford Arc. Likely Wano will end, Luffy and gang will get directions to go to last thing before then the whole thing will come to a close.
It's feels like 50 percent
I expect there to be atleast 5 more arcs:
- Searching for 4th Road Poneglyph Arc
- Journey to Raftel Arc
- Raftel Arc

I’d say the most accurate guess is 1248. The manga is already on chapter 1104, and based on what’s happening in the story, I don’t see it ending in a mere 34 chapters, without severe rushing. For starters, Egghead isn’t even over yet. Furthermore, there needs to be time for Elbaf, the Final War, and the One Piece itself.
Even if the series has been going faster lately, the original war still took 30+ chapters, and that one’s supposed to be small, compared to the final war. Combine that with the at least 40 chapters they’ll probably spend on Elbaf, and the who knows how many chapter it will take to finish Egghead, and you’ll see why 1248 is the most accurate guess.
2022, 1,000+ episodes, 1,000+ chapters, And Oda will be taking a short break, then will enter the final arc or saga or whatever. Probably 2023-2024

THE PANTHAR017 no, even 1979 Doraemon had 6 minute episodes up until 1981. Then it got moved to the half hour time slot so it increased new episodes to 10 minutes and padded it out with reruns. In special cases, they would make 23 minute episodes, but in terms of overall length, One Piece would still top it

These estimates only gets funnier the longer it goes on. Now that Wano has finished, Oda says we are in the last phase, but not last arc. So we may have another 3 to 4 arcs left, but he also said in his jump festa message that he wants to finish in the next 5 years. So who knows how long it will really be left given the record you established here.

9.Buggy forgives Shanks
10. Luffy finally excepts Hancock's wedding proposal (I ship them and want to see more scenes of them together 😍)
