    Thank you so much for sharing your videos! I think there should be a minor correction on 2:22 with Lithium's electron configuration. It should be 1s^2 2s^1

    I'm a college student and taking chemistry for the first time, and I appreciate the videos you've posted so much. Electron configuration makes so much more sense now. I've felt really discouraged during class the past week or two... so, thank you for the help! :D

    Thank you soooo much for these incredible videos. They were instrumental to me in understanding these concepts. I have asked many people for help in this area, and noone was capable of explaining this concept to me. I am about to sit a TEAS exam and desperately needed to be able to grasp this concept in order to pass the Chemistry portion of the test. Your videos are on point.     Small correction: 2:20 into the video - Lithium is actually 1s2 2s1 (3 electrons).

    You said that the p orbitals take the electron separately, so how are you supposed to write out the arrows when you have to remove electrons in an ion?

      She is wrong. Li has 3 protons/electrons and therefore 1s2 2s1 is the proper configuration.

      +Shane Mayer have you watched my video on electron configurations & ions - first write the electron configuration then adjust the configuration to fit the ion - now draw the orbital diagram. But you have to know how to do an ion configuration so watch that video

      still draw same diagram but have d block has 5 orbitals - each one can hold up to two still. _ _ _ _ _ (like this, place two arrows in first orbital, two arrows in second and then one arrow in third for a total of 5 electrons
