The Mapusaurus pack hunting theory is unlikely, another theory to debunk this is that modern day komodo dragons form 'Gangs' to take down larger prey. But once the prey is dead, they are back on their own again and won't rely on packs until they need to.
Imagine your in a plain dry area on earth and you look around and see a Tyrannosaurus Rex 3 miles away staring dead at you, then it's starts booking it towards you.
I like to think of these dinosaurs, not as mindless killers, but just animals. A Tyrannosaurus wouldn't actively hunt humans because of how small we are. They would rather prefer bigger prey like other huge carnivores. And raptors may very well be highly curious animals
Totally agree, nice to see someone else mentioning the fact that we would be too small to be worth the effort for a mega-theropod like tyrannosaurus rex, and how dinosaurs were almost definitely curious and intelligent animals looking at borderline all modren animals with a brain, although large dromaeosaurs(raptors) like utahraptor, dakotaraptor, and achillobator would be the perfect size to eat people ie: big enough to easily kill us but small enough a human would still be plenty of food, of course that doesn’t make them monsters everything has to eat and predators have to hunt, us being the perfect food size for them isn’t their fault just a cool fact i wanted to share and why i would be more scared of a utahraptor then a tyrannosaurus, Also a triceratops or ankylosaurus would likely be a incredibly animal dangerous looking at similarly sized herbivores like rhinos and elephants today, again doesn’t make them monsters just as elephants and rhinos aren’t but they would still probably be very dangerous.

There’s something else everyone seems to forget herbivorous dinosaurs, in most media they’re always represented as docile and extremely tolerant creatures while in reality Herbivores can just be as dangerous as carnivores. Remember kids just because an animal eats plants doesn’t make it any less dangerous, Take Hippos, Elephants, Moose, Bisons, Deers & Buffaloes for example.
Anybody remember that parody movie of Journey to the center of the earth? Where they joke about the T-Rex having a Walnut for a brain? Only to have said walnut being tossed at them? Yeah that's what made me think of that brain moment.
Just think about this for a second. Some Sauropods came up to (sorry my Dino fact times are a while back) 80-100 tons. If they had the same temper als modern Day Elephants and rhinos. They'd take you out just because you are standing om a tree root they like. Elephants are walking tanks but what if a nearly 90 foot Animal decides that it wants to whip you with its tail which proofen was strong enough to rip through smaller trees. 0_0

@@Kitty-xi1sb i mean, if we want to have a "closer" species, we propably should go with ostriches or other non-flying birds. But even they have sudden aggressive eruptions and charge towards you, so i think we're pretty much on the same page wether we use an Ostrich or and Elephant. I am not up to date with the Sauropod defensive behavior but i thought they used their tails for intimidation at least. But yes if the Tail would get injured or else the Animal would have a Problem with its Balance so i see the Point why they wouldn't have used them.
@@ItzMintyyyFPS Not really, as sauropods aren't really closely related to birds. Birds came from theropod dinosaurs, not sauropod. Due to this, birds are also unreliable. We don't really have any reliable modern-day substitutes, the closest thing would probably be crocodiles. Seeing as birds and crocodiles are both archosaurs (Except birds came FROM a different kind of dinosaur, whereas crocodiles are more similar to the ancestors of dinosaurs), both birds and crocodiles would be the most reliable, however, I feel like crocodiles are more reliable. And I'm glad that you noticed a main issue with using the tail as a weapon, balance. Requires a sharp mind and good thinking for that. I can tell you're smart, unlike many people I argue with on here. Which is why you may also understand that at the end of the day, this is all speculation, and we may never know for sure.
@@Kitty-xi1sb If your doing behavior there is no reason to not compare to species which are semi analogous to the theorized lifestyle. It makes no sense to compare something like a sauropod to a crocodile when crocodiles are incredibly specialized and also a literal carnivore not a herbivore. Crocodilians are far removed from most dinosaur lifestyles and using them to base behavior purely because of phylogeny is worse than basing behavior off analogous or semi analogous modern species despite their distance on the evolutionary tree. Speculation in paleoartistry is probably the most needed thing right now considering dinosaurs have incredibly different lifestyles to anything today and you'll be surprised to find the amount of weird adaptions modern day animals have as well. We have no choice to base behavior off of the species we have now but we should also try thinking entirely abstractly outside of purely comparisons and analogies
4:35, I think it's possible the Carnivores like Mapusaurus may hunted in Packs, but for even larger Carnivores like Tyrannosaurus, I don't think they did, I believe they may have lived together in kind of "familys" with a male, a female and some infants.
If cloning became a reality and fell into the RIGHT hands cloning Dinosaurs would be extraordinary. No theme parks, no weaponizing them, just studying how live, hunt, sleep, feed, and so much more would be a scientific breakthrough. Just them in come type of enclosure huge enough to where they can live but not bundled up but still enough room to where they won’t go crazy or depressed.
The shape and size of different internal areas of the skull. They show where and how big different structures in the head were. He's saying that Spinosaurus is *ONE OF* the largest, not *THE* largest. Spinosaurus (at least the Spinosaurinae indent) is definitely one of the largest, being in the top 10, but is not THE largest

@@KhanArtist3 i just saying they weren't used for same stuff chill
@@pierre-samuelroux9364 they used them for very similar stuff though, and spinosaurids had proportionally larger forelimbs and claws, but that doesn't matter since they where discovered first
There’s something else everyone seems to forget herbivorous dinosaurs, in most media they’re always represented as docile and extremely tolerant creatures while in reality Herbivores can just be as dangerous as carnivores. Remember kids just because an animal eats plants doesn’t make it any less dangerous, Take Hippos, Elephants, Moose, Bisons, Deers & Buffaloes for example.
The most terrifying part of this video is the weird dude in the dino mask…..
Anybody remember that parody movie of Journey to the center of the earth? Where they joke about the T-Rex having a Walnut for a brain? Only to have said walnut being tossed at them? Yeah that's what made me think of that brain moment.
Thoughts on the Dinotopia series?
One of my favorites from childhood. Cgi doesn't really hold up well, but its still fun
So did the art for the red eyes pachycephalosaurus
Just think about this for a second. Some Sauropods came up to (sorry my Dino fact times are a while back) 80-100 tons. If they had the same temper als modern Day Elephants and rhinos. They'd take you out just because you are standing om a tree root they like. Elephants are walking tanks but what if a nearly 90 foot Animal decides that it wants to whip you with its tail which proofen was strong enough to rip through smaller trees. 0_0
We should also think about the fact that all of the animals I've heard brought up and compared to sauropods have been mammals.
You can't and really shouldn't be compared a reptile to a mammal when speculating about behavioral traits, as it is speculation and is easily thrown off in this way.
Bull elephants get incredibly aggressive due to hormones, kinda like puberty. Reptiles and mammals have different reproductive systems/cycles in some ways and similar in others.
In other words, you should try to find an animal closer related to sauropods and go from there, as using mammals is not sufficient evidence.
Also, isn't either debated or disproven that they would use their tails in such a manner?
@@JuanGonzalez-iw1hi I never said it was a good one.
I said it was likely the best one.
It's a terrible comparison, I'm aware of that.
I Can’t take Mr Rex Seriously When he is facing us like that 😨 1:31
WHAT ALL THE SONGS YOU USED THE DINO FAX???
I know most of these but this was very entertaining to watch
It honestly baffles me that therizenosaurus is a theropod.
Could you do a video on Trix the T-Rex?
4:50 allosaurus isn't the thing you would have to worry about, saurophaganx is
Recent studies have confirmed that Spinosaurus was not aquatic
4:35, I think it's possible the Carnivores like Mapusaurus may hunted in Packs, but for even larger Carnivores like Tyrannosaurus, I don't think they did, I believe they may have lived together in kind of "familys" with a male, a female and some infants.
Loose gangs not packs
They would fight pver dead body
At least we now have evidence T-Rex was heavier and stronger than Spinosaurus in real life.
Sometimes i wonder if those small arms where not exactly arms but wings
If cloning became a reality and fell into the RIGHT hands cloning Dinosaurs would be extraordinary. No theme parks, no weaponizing them, just studying how live, hunt, sleep, feed, and so much more would be a scientific breakthrough. Just them in come type of enclosure huge enough to where they can live but not bundled up but still enough room to where they won’t go crazy or depressed.
Can you do yutyrannus
Some people believe that the carnotaurus could stun you by ramming you with its big horns so you could not run away
Good Video 😁
I love the Asking Alexandria shirt
This is gonna sound so stupid but how do we know t rexes had great vision and smell if all we have is bones
The shape and size of different internal areas of the skull. They show where and how big different structures in the head were. Unless dinosaurs had 85% different biology on how sight, hearing, brains, and musculature develop and evolve, we can see approximately how powerful the senses of an animal was only off its skull
The only complete skeleton on Spinosaurus was destroyed during ww2 bombing raid
10:00 people should stop saying this, Spinosaurus was NOT one of the largest theropods because size refers to mass not length
He's saying that Spinosaurus is *ONE OF* the largest, not *THE* largest. Spinosaurus (at least the Spinosaurinae indent) is definitely one of the largest, being in the top 10, but is not THE largest
We of course don’t have the same knowledge as we do with our animals now but we do know basic things, like bone sizes, some fossil information and so on.
I’ve always been interested in dinosaurs and ice age mammals.
The long claw Dino in the first image looked like freddy Krueger
