  • Hey RUclips and welcome back to my channel Sanj Designs where I'm building a 6 car SMART garage. Hope you've enjoyed the videos so far. Work on the build is progressing and sorry haven't posted some videos for a while. But don't worry some more stuff will be coming soon.
In this video I've been experimenting with WLED Lights around the garage door using WLED addressable lights, ESP32 controller and Loxone Smart home automation. I'm doing to do all three doors and once complete i'll post a series of videos showing how I did this. Trust me its not difficult and if I can do it anyone can!
Thanks for watching, check out our other videos ‪@sanjdesigns‬ and don't forget to like, comment and subscribe.

Hey any info on the how-to video? This looks amazing but I can't seem to find any information about similar projects online.

Can you share with us what kind of led strip you use? I think you use miniseries + dmx extension ?

Hi Piotr, thanks for getting in touch. Im using addressable WLED strips SK6812 (search for BTF Lighting) which is driven by an ESP32 Module . This ESP32 is programmed to whichever lighting design you choose via an app and powered by a 5V transformer. The transformer is connected to the Loxone extension and is activated via the lighting function block in the Loxone config. I've linked the door activation to trigger the WLED lights when opened and closed.
When I get some time I will do a 'how to' video which will hopefully explain in a bit more detail. Thanks again

@@sanjdesigns did You control some scenes from Loxone or only on/off? Scenes I mean colors, bright etc

Thanks for asking. Simple answer is you programme the ESP32 with the desired effects, speed, colours etc and set the chip to ‘boot loader’. This is done through a app you can download for free.
The Loxone just switches the ESP32 on/off. So you have the same scene as the door opening and closing. Hope that helps

Hi, there. I’m planning to do a how to video. It’s relatively straight forward and no DMX required
I’m the mean time if you search for ESP32 and addressable WLED that should help get to started.
