    I made this yesterday and it was delish! Thank you for the lesson and recipe! Only 1 question: can you par-bake the bottom crust to keep it from being soggy on the bottom? Also, i have 1 comment! I filled mine up a bit to full (about 3/4) and had a hard time pulling the side dough up over before top covering. You've got to leave about 2" of dough exposed to pull up over the top" I just used the left over dough from the 2/2-packs I purchased so it worked out! So I ended up using 2 on bottom & 1-1/2 on the top! If you par-bake the bottom crust, how long?

    • @welcometonealville
      @welcometonealville  Год назад +3

      You’re welcome and I would pre-bake it for ten minutes then fill it! I’m so glad it worked out for you! 🥰

      I use 2 boxes & 4 crust. I would just throw away the extra open crust if I didn’t use it now.
      I like cutting the crust, it made it look like a lattice crust.

    Sorry, my bottom crust has to be pre- cooked and brown before putting the fruit. Just not into white uncooked looking raw dough🥴looks good on top though. Instead of brushing butter on top, use an egg wash then you would have a golden crust and crunch too. Good presentation thank you.

      @@recoveringsoul755 my grandmother would parbake the bottom crust all the time. 🙂 She would just tuck the top crust into it.

    • @belindacoleman9662

      The bottom crust will bake and turn brown, if you reduce the temperature from 3:50 to 3:25 degrees and bake it longer. With a glass Pyrex casserole dish you can see whether or not the bottom crust is baking. I typically would bake a thick cobbler 1 hour and 45. minutes. However, not everyone's oven bakes the same.

  • @juantagriffin9230
