I stay in that room and think it's the nicest hotel in Blackpool. You get free park tickets on certain days. Then it works out really good value, 2 tickets worth £33 each. Great video.

Hi Paul, was lovely to meet at breakfast and the walk to town. I agree with you it being a 4 star rather than 5 but, on the whole, an enjoyable stay. We were in a junior suit sea view for 4 nights but on a deal so only paid for 3 on a B and B basis costing £687 + £20 per night car park.
Great video as always! Gorgeous bathroom but the room decor not my taste however does look well appointed. Shoe sponges? Yes still a thing, I use them for by black work shoes however I’m seeing more and more in Australia hotels providing “sneaker wipes” to keep your white sneakers clean. I really like that. £19 for breakfast? Typical of what we would pay in a 4 star in Australia. I don’t bother usually, breakfast is usually the same in most hotels.
Looks a lovely hotel but has not got some of the facilities expected in. 5* hotel. The decor is beautiful. I think it is a good price if 2 people are sharing, but as always, for a solo traveller it is a bit expensive, so I would not choose it if I was alone. The food looked really delicious. Ex Hotel Manager bod here. A lot depends on who awarded the 5 stars. AA accredited you know it's expected to be top notch with lots of facilities. Star gradings depend on some pretty specific criteria such a furnishing, decor, room size, food service, etc not if it has a pool or spa etc. Since the advent of the Internet it could be said official star ratings are often meaningless because most people now go by customer experience. If it is Google or Booking reviews that's just opinion not genuine definable criteria. After a quick Google it says neither AA or Visit England have issued ratings so to call it 5 star isn't accurate. The Clifton, Claremont, Viking and Carousel for example are AA 3 star with a few 4 star places in Lytham St. Annes and Wrea Green. Now compare these ratings to Google and Booking Reviews there's a lot of disparity between what you would expect from a Star property and what some customers actually think 😊
Looks really nice will definitely stay here, wouldn't dream of having a park view though! Probably rate it 4 star. Handy if you watch a concert and stay over night.❤
It looks like a lovely hotel. If it were in the north end, then maybe I'd consider staying here. For a 5-star hotel, I would expect it to have a pool and a spa. The drinks and breakfast are a bit expensive. We're going to be in Blackpool at the weekend. Hopefully, it will be dry. I can't believe we were walking in our shorts and T-shirts two weeks ago along the promenade in Benidorm. I'll be packing my thermals for Blackpool.

Beautiful room nicely laid out, great colour scheme, though rule number one in interior design the cushions on the couch should be lying flat not diamond 😂 I stayed in my home town in Hertfordshire and had a £50 charge for bar/mini bar, took 8 days to be reimbursed. When you said it had a park view I thought it'd be lawns, trees maybe a bandstand. Price not bad for all you get but I wouldn't pay it. Nice hotel though and I like funfairs with gentle rides, exciting as a child.
It looks a very nice hotel and the room looks lovely and up-to-date and very clean but I think they're pushing it a bit when they say it's a 5 star it's 4 star at the most what I can see of it. To be honest the breakfast didn't look great for £19 with the cooked selection under a heat lamp drying out. Ok I know it's a different class of hotel but I stayed in a brand new premier Inn 3 weeks ago for £49 with unlimited breakfast included and cooked fresh to order plus a full continental selections included and it was absolutely fantastic. I do really, really love the room layout Paul, very nice. Powerful shower too, I do love a good shower! Is this hotel a sister hotel to The Big Blue and do you know if car park charges applied?? I'd say that a 5* is a bit too high. 4* for sure. Room rate a bit steep too.
Of course I'd stay there!.....the prices have not changed too much as of yet or lately, neither that or the Big Blue have a swimming pool for those who want it which is surprising for either of them...especially Boulevard as it's fairly new. I did read reviews that the Sea view is usually more expensive than the park view....so I don''t know anymore !
11:32 Breakfast looks nice but for £19 I would expect a freshly cooked breakfast and not just served from hot plates. Not much that differentiates the breakfast from anywhere else other than the inflated price because its 5 star rated as far as I can see. What is the criteria for hotels to actually attain their 5 star rating is what I want to know. I would doubt the integrity of the star rating process. And no pool or spa and still attains 5 star? hmmmm. I would imagine there was a few Bruce Grobellar brown envelopes passed under the table in the star rating awarding process 😉. It is good to hear though that its a good atmosphere in the hotel and the staff are nice. Its a 4 star in my book though.

I wanted this one but my Granddaughter wanted to go the the big blue because it's blue lol I don't like that mirror in the shower, there's no hand rail which I think there should be when it's shower/bath. It's a lovely hotel but I think if ever in Blackpool again I would still return to the big blue we had a lovely week's stay there just got home. This one is nice but I don't think it has the same homely, cosy feel the big blue does and for just one person staying I think the price is a bit steep

Looks like a 4.5 as no pool or beauty spa, furnishings quality of room excellent, probably prices are different times of year, would not pay £19 for breakfast as i dont eat cooked breakfast so would not benefit from cerial cooked breakfast plus muffin to much for me at that time of day. But i love this type of hotel, also would prefer sea view , not park view, by the way was it noisy in your room with the rides going past at speed ? 😊
I'd give them a silver star for effort but it's lacking the luxury and perks of a 5star also I think they should charge at the bar if they're that worried about people absconding without paying the £100 charge would put me right off
I don't think the price is outrageous for the standard of hotel and there is no doubt plenty of people happy to pay that amount or they wouldn't be in business. I think they forgot to mention there is a very large swimming pool across the road with it's own beach however it might be a little bit chilly this time of year.
It was a lovely room, spacious, clean, tidy & very well appointed, the bathroom was great but I think I’d frighten myself to death with that mirror over the bath 😂😂. Maybe four star rating & I think it was probably a bit steep at £135 I also thought maybe breakfast was overpriced, the single room occupancy really annoys me but they’d say there’s as much work cleaning up after one as two. Unless visiting Pleasure land, I wouldn’t stay at the boulevard hotel. What’s there to do in the hotel ? was any entertainment laid on or did you notice any advertisement for entertainment. @ £173.00 B&B for two.. I would rather buy two park tickets and stay in a little 3star B&B for roughly £70.00 within 15 minutes from the park by public transport. I suppose the price is based on convenience as well as comfort.
Whats happen to all the toilet brushes not one of theses Blackpool hotels had one? I know I am being pickie but its a hygiene thing with me and my wife.
Very nice hotel but I don't think it merits the Five Star rating, it's more a posh 4 Star. I've stayed in better hotels that are only 3 Stars and they looked similar. It's certainly better than The Big Blue which is next door. I would only stay at The BLVD if it was a special occasion.

You should look at trip advisor breakfast pictures to give you an idea if its worth going for. Whether it is or it isnt you must try anyway as these are the type of blind sacrifices you need to to keep making for us😁
Tripadvisor breakfast pictures mean nothing as they can be staged by clients, same as dirty rooms we could stage this, as I have said in 100's of my videos, I never recommend any hotel, I just show my experience on my visit through the lens of my camera, and I show what I see, It's up to viewers if that's for them, cheers
The room is lovely but it's not 5 star. I prefer a walk in shower and clothes cupboards with doors. The public area's are pleasant but far from luxurious. I am used to paying high hotel prices in Ireland but this is pricey for what they are offering and the price of the breakfast is steep too. I certainly wouldn't be happy about the 100 pound deposit. They would already have my credit/debit details anyway. I would not go there.
