Him being to traumatized to fly doesn’t make sense to me, yeah that might be what they go with but seeing as he’s super casual about his electricity, you’d think if he had trauma, he wouldn’t do it so easily. Sure he fell into the pool, but going to a pool as an electricity-themed superhero without control over your powers was doomed to be a disaster.
@@ambassadorbruh1200 his powers as a whole are based on his electric powers. Flight was an extension.. that he wasn't able to control under stress, that led to a bunch of innocent deaths. So I see why he said "Nope" to using flight again specifically

This scene , no, this episode pissed me off doing dumb shit and ruining everything because he dosen't have enough sense to ignore his dumbass friends! I'm in feelings about this, I just felt bad for Kasey.
The pacing is so off on this show. It simultaniously is rushing everything and also somehow crawling at a snails pace. It's mostly because a lot of the dialogue is just filler. You've got your grunts and sighs and suprised gasps, but also repetition and pointless paragraphs that just beat around the bush to say trivial stuff.
Johnny needs to go to an electric power plant and absorb all the electricity so he can amplify his powers to a completely different level, causing his body to radiate with electric power being able to exceed lightning in his base form.
I never liked Johnny this entire series. I liked most of the other cast, but Johnny and Bastard was my least favorite parts. Jhonny accidentally fries a ton of people as a child, then suddenly just give up all his hero dreams for easy cash. The rest of the series he has no drive or passion besides getting quick cash. I was actually hoping that Kasey would permanently dump him so he could get an character arch. Don't tell me Kasey was his drive and passion. She was always put on hold for his greedy cash grabs. At the end of the series he is the same loser he was at the start. The only real difference is that this time his get rich quick scheme succeeded. He only uses his power to open things or runaway from danger too. The only reason to watch him interact with other heroes and villains, was to see him get his ass handed to him. At the end all the fighting is done by Gladiator and Kasey. He did jack shit to change the outcome in any fight. The only worse character was the Bastard. A old retired man who had a simple instant kill power and no joy in life besides being an evil Boss. Besides him killing his enemies friends and family before the final blow, there was very little memorable about him. No cool lines, no cool fights, and his charisma is non existent. Just a grumpy old fart with zero enthusiasms besides sadistic taunting. Just a standard bad boss cliche.
I do agree with the Johnny part. He says he's going legit at the end of the show but I'm not sure how much I beleive him. I feel bad for Kasey. Plus he could be extremely powerful but never uses his powers to their full extent.
Although i kinda like Johnny i have to agree especially considering his motivation to make money through heists is stupid knowing how his powers work. At any given moment he needs money he could go to the nearest atm, Hack it and get money. No heist necessary. That's the entire plan of the first heist anyways, Johnny could do it alone in a hoodie all everyone else did was attract unnecessary attention. His motivation would work so much better if he actually took some pride in being a Supervillain. Even if the rest stayed the same i think it would work so much better if his motivation was "i want to leave my mark as a Supervillain" instead of "i just want to make some quick cash then im out"
I don’t understand why you bring up the fighting (or lack of) point. Johnny is not a fighter, and he’s not supposed to be one. And he’s the main reason why the plan succeeded, because he’s the one who came up with it in the first place.

The disguise would have failed. He was lucky again the Bastard did not remember what the original gang super powers was, or that Centurion removed his mask in a room with a camera.
too bad none of them appeared on the actual live action show, besides is it just me or the english dub seems a bit... off, i dont know why but i watched this on english first, spanish and then japanese both spanish and japanese sounds good and at the very least ok, but the english one i dont know why it seems to not work at all.
It's better that they seem like their in different Universe. If they can make amazing stories without full on depending leeching off the hype of the other universe, i applaud them for it.
Well a hero's only as good as their villain. So if the villains are pretty pitiful? There's no point in making the hero likeable. Imagine if all Batman faced were nothing but common thugs and drug dealers. He'd come off as some buff psycho who hurts the weak 🥴
Is this just me, but why is there like barely any background noise not even a little jingle or music playing. Feels very flat and boring. And the English voice acting isn't good enough to keep me captivated like the Japanese voices

Well it was originally made for Japanese dub.
English dubbing came later so they had to rework dialogue for lip movement.
