Why is it running in diesel mode in the first part of the video?

If these 800s E40lfr should be replaced then it must be XT40s with IMC technology which means charging via the Overhead wires for 59 66 75 electric buses North side Philadelphia. If transferred to the 79 & 80 electric bus routes then the replacement XT40s can use the charger at the depot 79 & 80 buses.

Yeap it does and the reason being is that this engine is a QSB which is more so a cousin to the ISB

7:30 what is the name of that part of the wire that Trolleybuses can't go fast through?

It's a wire switch there. If they go too fast they could lose their poles or throw the switch in the wrong direction or even rip it clean off the wire

The engine sounds almost like the ISB engine.
