Damn, it's crazy how many people are in here reminiscing on freestyle music in san jose.I grew up in Hollister and was an adolescent in the 1990s. Our parent's generation passed the torch of good music to us and it ended there because these new-era kids have no idea what it will be like to listen to this, or know what it was like to cruise in san jose and the hot spots now that the police shut down all of the fun:(
I'm 44 and started listening to freestyle back in 1994 I was 16 and the first song I heard was dream boy dream girl and I been hooked on freestyle ever since but I have never heard this song untill last night and I been rockin the shit out of it none stop now lol.my new favorite song.the beat to it hits hard as hell.poor kids today will never know what good real soul moving heart felt music is smh.oh well their lose lol.so glad I grew up in the late 80's and 90's what a magical time it was back then.i would give almost anything to go back to those days smdh.
I went to upstairs during that time and of course bought two, used to live with some guy that was a mobile dj ...went to upstairs every week as had all the vinyl!! ok to write back, small world..
