My newest seasoning for flounder is Adobo, Old Bay, grated Parm/Romano, and pads of butter with a spritz of lemon juice when plated. So happy the season started. I got a fat 22 inch this past Sunday in Great Bay.
I really enjoyed watching you catch the flounder, but I like simple cooking. Please share some more keeping it simple cooking, there is a lot of us guys in the same boat .
Same with us, one decent fluke bite. We HAMMERED the sea bass on Seagert off Manasquan in 60". If you hit the ocean this weekend, target sea bass. Flats wont be crackin yet. Everything is late this year.
Andy I love your channel have been subscribed for a very long time . Just goes to show how small this world is to find you on sea money fishing's channel . Keep up to good work both of you guys 👌
Don't get me started on the problem with RUclips. I have people copying my content and youtube says I'm the one that has to start a law suit, when it's obvious they are my videos! I'm pissed.
I used to live in point Pleasant right on the canal either end of the canal is very good for fluke fishing starting in September the black fish bite in the canal is amazing I live in Boynton Beach Florida now catching peacock bass and clown knife Fish largemouth bass snook barracudas and Tarpon
I loved that as well. And trust me, there's assholes from every state that block the left lane and just cruise along like the passing lane is a regular lane. It's one of my pet peeves.
I live 5 minutes from there and had the same luck you did, just in a different spot. I started from 5am-11am and only had on 18 1/2" flounder. Water started out at 63 and dropped to 60 by time I left and they just didn't want to bite.
I did same thing Saturday on the incoming tide just south you where you were. Caught an 18.5" female and not another hit. Sunday brought 12 shorts and one big flounder that threw the hook at side of boat.
where are you fishing today? anywhere? I am thinking of going to canadice lake NY to cast emerald shiners under a float for whatever bites hopefully a nice brown trout nice video I'll give it a thumbs up
Looks good but you said you were going to blacken this flounder, except the blacking process consists of blackening on an extremely hot skillet or flat surface. Blackening is a process not a seasoning. You use blackening seasoning in the blackening process. It causes a lot of smoke but caramelizes the seasoning and surface of the protein being cooked. I don't mean to be a stickler ,but as a chef (classically trained) nomenclature to me is key, as you don't fry steamed clams, you steam them.
How is the striper action up in NJ. off the MD coast there are monster blues keeping the stripers away. Kind of a bust for us this year. Good call going for fluke. Nice video man.
This year is a bust for stripers during the spring run. Too many blues. Not sure if ya'll up in NY have the stripers running by but no stripers this year boys.
Fishing With Joseph states Island had a good run last month, but on the shore in other parts we are infested with blues. It's happened before... hopefully things change soon.
I hate bluefish. They eat up all your bait and they taste terrible. At least they fight good. Back in April there were tons of school bass and I caught 20+ bass. As you said, hopefully things will change soon.
I was fishing in misquamicut ri for flounder and I went out ok a boat for like 1 hr and we Caught like 7 flounder and 2 keepers but could've had 4 if they didn't change the size limit to 19" not keeping at 18"
if you have access to a kayak theres some good points by gull island in the manasquan river as well as some nice ledges by the bays channel markers right as you come out of the opposite mouth of the canal. from shore i would either recommend riverfront park or the dock down the end of bay avenue by the boat ramp
+Bryan Hawthorne Fishing i used to live in point right on the canal but now I live in Boynton Beach Florida now I catch peacock bass snake heads clown knife fish Snook jack's barracuda in Tarpon
Sea-Money Fishing I fish great egg harbor river/ inlet and absecon/ ac. I use to be kayak only but just got myself a center console so now I'm learning everything over again.
I want to fish with you some time boss, I like to fish for Muskies, stripers, and flounder. I fish a lot at Marsh Creek and Corsons Inslet. Message me here. I am down to fish most days.
My newest seasoning for flounder is Adobo, Old Bay, grated Parm/Romano, and pads of butter with a spritz of lemon juice when plated. So happy the season started. I got a fat 22 inch this past Sunday in Great Bay.

I had a bad opening day in Belmar too, I only got one 18". Luckily the next day I got a 24" from shore. Tight lines!

The longer I spend on here the smaller it gets. You start to recognise voices, back of head etc, very small world indeed.
+Andy's Fishing true any verry true was just scrolling and saw that familiar picture 😂

Florida is one of those states too... it's so annoying!
R-Flixx Everyone knows Jersey drivers are the most notorious left-side-driving pricks. Mass. is a close second. THEN New York.

Fresh flounder is probably my favorite.
I live 5 minutes from there and had the same luck you did, just in a different spot. I started from 5am-11am and only had on 18 1/2" flounder. Water started out at 63 and dropped to 60 by time I left and they just didn't want to bite.
can you show me a kayak launch area around there? thanks
We can keep 8 here in Massachusetts. 12" length.
Are those kayak pants or waders? I love how you're almost never prepared in your videos. Haha
It's kind of a running theme in his videos, ''I wonder what he's forgotten this trip?''. It can be quite entertaining lol.
HEACK YEAH you know who's eatin good! thats the best eating fish ive ever had next to snappa
I did same thing Saturday on the incoming tide just south you where you were. Caught an 18.5" female and not another hit. Sunday brought 12 shorts and one big flounder that threw the hook at side of boat.
