I'm glad people are enjoying "Puss in Boots: The Last Wish." It's one of the best movies DreamWorks has ever made. It's so good, you don't even need to see the first film.
I forgot there *was* a first film before watching it, and I don't think I really lost anything. It's an extremely "millennial" movie, heh, but I did love the theme. I liked that they kept certain things out of the trailer to surprise you, fancy that!
I watched the first film for the very first time *AFTER* watching The Last Wish. It's not bad, but it's one of those instances where the sequel is way better.
Do I need to watch the first film to enjoy this one?
@@anotheryoutubeuserno you don’t
@@anotheryoutubeuser It gives context to Kitty Softpaws, but that's it.
Puss in Boots 2 is one of those rare films you have zero hype for and they tell you to see it. And you ended up liking it more than the people who recomended it to you.
tru but its a shame that it flew under the radar initially, (The trailers looked amazing!) on opening night the theatre was empty and after I left I was sad thinking that such a great movie was gonna be box office flop. So glad I ended up being wrong!
@@justinw8916 Damn your theater was empty?! I went to probably the least busy theater around me on opening night and it was about 80% full.
It’s kinda hysterical. Most people have written off dreamworks movies since we’ve long since seen the hayday of Shrek, Kung Fu panda and How 2 train your dragon and there’s just been a lot of Mediocre or just plain bad movies, including the first puss in boots spin-off.
Then this year happened and they dropped off The Bad Guys which has alot of folks really loving it and got the ball rolling for Dreamworks gaining peoples attentions again and now Puss and boots 2 has really woken people up that “oh shit. Peak fictions back”.
Crazy to think Sony Animation and now Dreamworks would be the ones pushing boundaries while Disney/Pixar are kinda just chilling and putting out mediocre/bad movies themselves.
I was a Puss in Boots 2 fan DAY ONE mf
people around me have been hyping it up so much lately that I ended up being kinda disappointed >.< the pendulum swings...
"Implied death"
Fam, at least 3 characters LITERALLY explode into confetti and one is turned into gold... I was shocked by the way some characters went.
Not only was she turned into gold, but her own sister wheels out her now lifeless body without a second thought, presumably to melt her down and sell the gold for profit.
That's some dark shit.

"It doesn't feel like I'm watching something stupid and terrible. 8/10" Adum on Puss in Boots (2022).
Animated movies have been like that for a while. But even if fantastic animated action flicks were raining from the sky, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish would still be a stellar watch.

John Mulaney as Jack Horner was a pleasant surprise. I thought his voice acting in the Chip n Dale movie was so dull and monotonous, but he was actually very funny and energetic in Puss in Boots.
wait how the fuck did I not notice that was him
He also did the voice acting of spider pig in spiderverse
The directors actually gave a fuck
Honestly I din't think his voice fit Jack's design, but it was still a great performance.
@@emiliocerchiaro4386 When I First saw a clip of Jack Horner, my sound was turned off, so I imagined that his voice sounded like Frollo from Hunchback. I was shocked when I heard his actual voice, but when I watched the movie it really captured his childish behavior. The character is a spoiled little kid trapped in a grown man’s body and I think that’s where they were going with the voice.
It has to be a crime how amazing Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is. Not to mention, furries are now eating up the new wolf, so definitely a win for Adum.

Puss’s journey in coming to grips with his own mortality while stalked by the literal personification of death while learning to appreciate his life while he still has it, is some of the best work Dreamwork’s has ever done.
The fact Puss in Boots came out on top in this video among three others, all of which Adam was at least mildly excited for, is hilarious and great
Puss in Boots did the framerate thing perfectly, I honestly think it would have worked just as well in Avatar if they just made the high framerate consist to just the underwater scenes or just the actions scenes.
Was distracting
@@pechi6801 That's the point, for exaggerating snappy looking action scenes
Jesus christ what a truly putrid idea. You think no one could be more clueless than Hollywood executives until you read a comment like this Lmao
@@RUclips.Commen-tater it was interesting, like an exact inverse of what normally happens in anime (choppy "peaceful" scenes, smooth high fps battle scenes). I agree it's a bit distracting, and it could probably be used more deliberately than just a "combat mode framerate drop," but I absolutely am all for studios actually experimenting with stylistic flair and Spiderversisms.

@@Yupthereitism It was.
They actually had 3 villain archetypes: the sympathetic villain in Goldilocks. The force of nature villain which is Death. And the flat "this is just a bad guy" villain Jack Horner. Every villain as you mention filled in gaps the other lacked. Also the whistle is the Funeral March but I immediately heard the notes "sleep in heavenly peace" from Silent Night which I MEAN....CONSIDERING it was DEATH singing that tune kinda makes sense cause when you die you do take a forever nap.
It takes cues from the good, the bad, and the ugly
Goldilocks and the bears didn't really feel like villains if I'm being honest. They felt more like supporting characters. There wasn't really any threat to Puss from them.
Also if I'm being totally honest, Goldi's redemption felt a little unearned. The way mama bear felt betrayed and then seconds later was like "Alright fine, let's go find your real family then"- didn't really like that.
@@hittingyouoverthehead I've got to disagree with you there on the goldilocks thing, I think that it adds to the themes of "your wish is right in front of you" sort of thing, goldi does upset mama, but because mama considers her to be famliy shes willing to do whatever it takes to support her daughter even if she loses her. And though they're arguably villains, they are definitely antagonists as they oppose puss.
@@timetraveler7 Yeah, and that's what I didn't like. If someone doesn't consider themselves part of your family, why would you consider them part of yours? How are the bears not more upset when she says that especially considering the amount of times they go out of their way to make her feel like a part of the family? She straight up abuses baby bear and mama and papa laughs it off as sibling bullying. She didn't deserve that ending.
Also yeah, they are indeed antagonists but I can't remember a single instance where they stood in Puss's way. They were always playing catch up.
@@hittingyouoverthehead they're likely still emotionally attached to her, just hurt. She had an understandable motivation, she wanted to meet her biological parents so it makes sense for the bears to still help her, they're portrayed as a fairly strong family, but I guess we can agree to disagree.
My favourite M3gan moments:
Her reason for killing going from "protect Katie" to "omg, you're exhausting".
Kid getting run over and it leaving behind nothing but a faint blood smear and a single shoe
The guy at the end unplugging her cables from the back, then going round to her front for the last one, even though they were all in her back and he was afraid she'd switch on at any moment about 3 seconds earlier
Katie somehow not seeing the aunt and M3gan in the kitchen despite them being well lit, a few feet in front of her and only obscured by a plant
I was under the impression Katie was in the hallway and couldn't actually see them at the end, which is why M3gan faked the aunt's voice at first.
The robot v robot fight at the end was my favorite. At the end I was yelling in my head, "use the damn robot that you set up earlier!" and it looked like they werent gonna do it and then the way they did do it was way better than I had hoped.
for the pg13 rating, they only get a single f-bomb without going to R, and the kid dropping it that once was my favorite scene. second goes to the guy going "thats not good" and start running immediately after she grabs the paper cutter LMAO. i thought it was a hilarious comedy horror for being pg13. i think if it was R it would've been unfunny by trying too hard.
@@fidget0227 even so I have 3 kids, they're not just gonna open their bedroom door pop their head out and say "hey what's going on out there?" They're gonna walk out and see what tf is going on
Also that the kid was able to turn on and perfectly control the huge robot with the gloves even though she wasn't even looking at her aunt when she did it. Could've at least shown a scene of her sneaking in there and trying it out herself
8/10 for Puss in Boots? I really need to watch it now, genuinely sounded like he enjoyed it
YES. Watch it! It was really good
It’s really good. I went into it expecting it to be just ok but it really wow’d me
Just make sure you don't watch the new Puss in Boots expecting Puss to be the badass he was in the Shrek movies. If you do, you'll probably be disappointed because *SPOILERS!* they make him retire from being a hero...during a part of the movie, anyway.
@@tentativaX why woul you spoil the movie for such an asinine comment

I could ask you why you would be so rude over a commentary among hundreds of them, but still...why? To try to prevent a certain ammount of disappointment should the OP watch the movie expecting badass Puss in Boots; isn't it obvious?
Also, it's not that big of a spoiler, since some synopsis for the movie "talk" about that spoiler I referred to. It's not like I revealed some twist ending or something.
I thought it was funny how the first Puss in Boots kept establishing that Puss in Boots and Humpty Dumpty were brothers, and the big emotional moment of the movie was Puss in Boots having to witness his brother fall and die, but when Puss in Boots in the sequel has his life flashing before his eyes, he remembers Shrek and Donkey instead. I'm sure it was because they didn't want to confuse people by showing a big egg man, but it's fair, because I also remember Shrek 2 more than the first Puss in Boots.
I only watched the Last Wish... Puss in Boots and Humpty Dumpty were WHAT LOL? -
this was easily the right choice. I remember watching Puss in Boots 1 wayyyy back when and i couldn't tell you a goddamn thing about it other than I don't remember anything about it and also I thought it was bad

I don't know what your definition of "children's films" are, but that can range anywhere from the boss baby movie to spirited away... there's a big gap between movies for babies and movies that both children and adults can enjoy. Puss in boots 2: the last wish, is one of those movies that adults and children can enjoy.
My wife and I took a family friend and her kids to see Puss in Boots for Christmas and I gotta say, *that* is how you make a kid's movie. When I saw Adam give an EIGHT to a mainstream American animated family film, I had a feeling it would be something special (my Twitter mutuals praising the heck out of it also helped). And whattaya know, it turned out to be one of, if not my favorite film of the year.
Kids cried in my screening with the death character sequence. I wasn't mad at them, This would have scared me if I was like 4 or something.
Same here haha. However, the wolf scared me too. Not for the same reason as why the kids were scared, but because imagine being chased by the personification of death itself, that would be so terrifying. Death is a scary thing, even if it will happen one day, just imagine knowing that it might happen to you at a point in your life when you're not ready to die, that's the scary part to think about for me. I would rather not know if death was chasing me...
I think people don't appreciate that he is the first scary vilain in a "kid movie" since the 2000. I wouldn't say I was scared in the same way the kids were, but I feel you, the dread is real(putting aside my bravado/adult perspective; He's terrifying). What is the last family movie vilain that put you in that state? The nothing from the never ending story maybe? I have to also point out just how many things they set up for that effect. He is imposing in himself. But so much of his impact is felt through the main character, the contrast from reckless to feeling fear. "No sword ever touched me" to feeling the blood drip from his forehead. That's great contrast right here! God I love this movie.
When you are thirsty for an animated character but are trying to play it cool and just describe how well designed he was
Best part about Puss in Boots 2 was that DreamWorks updated their intro sequence with properties that they own (like the marvel intro scroll) showing things like Kung Fu panda, The bad guys, Shrek, Boss baby. But shark tale and bee movie were mysteriously absent. I loved that, it just cracked me up.
Boss baby shouldn’t have been included
@@MumboJumboZXC you're right! They also did not include any of their 2D era movies either. El dorado found dead i guess.
I thought I read somewhere that the intro would change for each new movie so they could put in more characters. If Megamind ever shows up, everyone will go nuts.
@@MumboJumboZXC my guess is that they included Boss Baby because somehow the Boss Baby IP does extremely well on Netflix?
@@CoOlKyUbI96 who cares its a dogshit movie and show
Totally agreed on the Spiderverse point with the use of framerate for Puss in Boots. They use fuckin ACTION LINES and blurs and low framerate, and all of it made sense in the context of the scenes. For a movie that is 3d animated, all of those moments felt perfectly "comicbooky", which is super refreshing for animated films. It's almost for how collectively tired we are of technically effective animation like in Avatar, we are in equal part surprised by the feel of Puss in Boots.
"we forgot to introduce you to a family member. his name is *BRUCE*"
that was such a marvel movie moment
dude, RO-BOT!!!
The framerate changes in Avatar 2 made it feel like a video game with no frame cap. To my memory, the most egregious example happens for no reason in the middle of a conversation. It actually gave me a headache.
In Puss 2, it's clearly an artistic choice for impact like Spider-verse. It helps that the framerate changes usually aren't affecting the whole scene, but a character's specific animation. It helps to sell the speed/movement of an action.
It’s like how there were aspect ratio changes in Transformers 5
@@letoddfrank Considering that the Transformers 5 aspect ratio thing happened mainly for IMAX showings, that's exactly what Avatar 2 did.
Puss in Boots used the framerate though more like Everything Everywhere All At Once used the aspect ratios.
The part where M3GAN started singing "Titanium" to the girl made me laugh so fucking hard
Fuck, really?
@@joinsideke Yeah, she sang it as a lullaby and it was the funniest shit
It just comes out of nowhere. I know they setup her singing a song earlier, but that also comes out of nowhere.
Fun Fact: Pre allegations I went to the channel 5 show in New York and he talked about you in Atlanta being able to vomit on command as one of the most memorable things from the talent section of the live show
The video of Adum vomiting on command at that talent show is out there. Crazy stuff.
Lat wish was the first movie I went to in a while. I was pleasantly surprised.. when the wolf says "pick it up.... Pick. It. UP..." I was like damn I'm in this movie now...
Can we talk about the villain in Puss? The wolf was well-written, & the scenes where Puss' fur stands up, you can feel the fear. The bass drop, the slow motion, the catchy whistle? The tiny details where he has a close call( the minimal slow motion... very subtle ) you can tell it means more now that the stakes were much higher. So so cool. Never seen a villain like this especially one so consistently terrifying and shock inducing. Plus the cool end hinting at Shrek 5 which I now have high hopes for. Dreamworks could not have done a better job.
Death is genuinely one of the best animated villains I think I’ve ever seen. The whistling was genuinely intimidating, shout out Wagner Moura he was great
Wagner Moura's voice acting was excellent.
He was awesome, I wish he was in the Brazilian dub as well.
I went into Puss in Boots with zero expectations and it blew me the fuck away. Really enjoyed it
I wish Adam had waited for Missing to release so that he could do a double feature review with M3GAN.
what do those have to do with each other
@@obscure.reference
A film called "Megan is missing" is classic YMS kino
I'm honestly mad they changed the rating of M3gan only because it took off with teenagers on social media. It's not like the "R" rating would have made it a masterpiece, but there would be SO MUCH more they could do in terms of fun, campy violence. I'm sorry but I HATE how everything HAS to appeal to children nowadays. Even violent horror movies have to be neutered down to PG 13 ratings for them.
generally it’s insulting and doesn’t actually make the media any more responsible for exposure to children, but for this movie i think it works fine as a pg13. maybe it could’ve been “crazier” but honestly there’s not much need, the core of the story was the science fiction AI aspect and emotionally it was grounded in the relationship between the aunt and the girl. none of that needs an R rating to be developed as it was.
Were there even any other PG13 horror movies in wide release release last year? I feel like even the R ones have been less bloody lately but I don’t get this notion that EVERYTHING has to appeal to children.
@@obscure.reference an R rating would make the movie have bigger stakes. Like, they make M3gan sound like she is super dangerous by the end of the movie but because of the lack of violence I felt like watching a bunch of adults being scared of a little doll. It had barely 4 deaths and one of them wasn't even her fault technically. In the end when she chases that manager with a sword it was disappointing, I don't even remember her slicing him onscreen. Imagine making a horror/slasher movie without showing the violence, what's the point?
More viewers, more money. And teens are the perfect audience for a movie like this. They got more free time than adults and will go to the movies more for the sake of going out than being discerning about what to watch. Don't always like it, but I can understand why they do it.
@@zirus5191 my point is that it’s more of a science fiction movie than a horror or slasher flick in the first place. a suspenseful one yeah but not much of a slasher. 4 deaths is more than enough to establish THAT the stakes are death, literally one death is all you need to make that clear. the stakes do not increase the more deaths there are or the more graphic they are. especially after the movie spends half the runtime establishing that she’s made out of solid titanium and is practically indestructible. the film already makes an effort to show all kinds of ways she’s a threat, including how she runs on all fours like an animal. the main characters either survive or they don’t, and most often if you’re actually supposed care about that outcome (like you are when children are involved) then they do. there are almost never stakes in a hollywood movie about a parent protecting their child from a monster. again, more deaths, more brutality doesn’t change that fact.
Paul Thomas Anderson wisely cut the ending montage from "Boogie Nights" -- which, as you know, was a 2-minute pat-ourselves-on-the-back clipshow about the the uplifting and heartwarming moments that the adult film industry has given us over the years..
I'm glad you enjoyed Puss In Boots The Last Wish. I noticed a lot of people didn't look forward to it, but Dreamworks had a track record of making good sequels, so I'm glad this one continued the trend

I had so much fun watching M3gan, i went in with low expectations, but i had a blast. Also love the design of the doll
So glad you love Puss 2. Such a good movie!!!!
Puss in Boots may have had a simple story, but it had really good character moments and gave us something we haven't seen in family movies for a while: mature themes, blood, and swearing.
Adam is probably referring to "Holds" for Puss in Boots. Holding an action to last longer to make the audience focus on it or to make it seem more dramatic.
I watched Babylon at the theater. At the end, the beginning of the film is repeated, the same scenes with the same music. I thought I was in hell. They'll make me watch this movie again and I'll never get home again. Because I'm going to smash my head against the wall, I could take it anymore!
Puss in Boots was such a banger bro, easily top 5 2022 movies
Funny, I didn't even know there WAS a Puss in Boots 2 out until I started seeing a bunch of "fanart" of Death.
“Fanart”
The voice actor for the Wolf in Puss in Boots was perfectly menacing. His voice had an intimidating depth to it that really made me nervous.
Every time he says Mu-three-gan, ironically, I'm reminded of my aunt trying to pronouns anime names.
I misunderstood at first and was extremely surprised to hear that not only had the director of M3gan worked on LaLa Land and Whiplash, but that it was also over 3 hours long.
Me and my gf were convinced there was going to be some reveal with the aunt in M3gan because she was so cold and indifferent to the death of her sister and brother in law. Maybe they didn't get on, she was adopted, anything. Like she cared that little we thought it was a plot point. We enjoyed it though. Sure it could have done with some more kills and gore. M3gans kill count is quite low and they're all horrible people. But the film took its time to get to building the robot, had a nice message and CRITCALLY, M3gan had a character. She wasn't generic robot goes wrong she had a personality and was fun to watch like Chucky. Also she was a practical effect (little girl in a mask that was tweaked with CG later) That did wonders for the film.
One thing about the difference in frame rate in animation like Spiderverse and Puss versus Avatar 2 is that the change happens only to the characters, not the whole frame. The camera continues to move on the base frame rate; generally, stuff on the background also keeps moving in the same rate; just the characters and some focus objects get choppy. (That also happens with traditional animation which is generally 12fps but sometimes have some elements go up to 24, but not the whole frame)
Could you imagine a new Kung fu Panda movie really diving into stylizing itself similarly to puss in boots but now more Asian than western comic book. Hell the previous movies were already pretty ahead of the curve with the visuals compared to Shrek and H2TYD but now?!
Puss in Boots also had to grace to work 100% as a standalone film, with no direct tie-in to the previous one or the Shrek movies - apart from the very last scene I guess. That was a big strong point. Because of that, I'm less confident in the next Shrek that's coming, because all the others were strongly tied together and I don't see how they're gonna reboot the whole machine. But hey, we'll wait and we'll see !
I really enjoyed m3gan lol. It was hilarious and one emotional scene actually kinda got to me. And I think it explored our current situation w AI in a pretty good way.

I loved Babylon but agree with everything you said, it's definitely too long and will feel like a chore to someone who doesn't enjoy the ridiculous debauchery of it .
Yeah, I've seen it twice and I'm totally swept up in it so it doesn't feel long to me but I totally get the people that aren't with it. I'm blown away that some producer greenest this movie at this budget. I'm so glad it exists but if I had financial stake in it, I absolutely wouldn't have let it get made.

Puss in Boots had no business being as amazing as it was. I did not expect to get emotional, it actually makes me want to see more. Does anyone know if the previous movies were any good? I heard they were mid
first puss in boots is mid, just a normal kids movie :/ holding out for Shrek 5 to be at the same level as this one tho!
Yeah I actually really enjoy Puss in Boots 1 but it's nowhere near the quality of the Last Wish. It's just that Shrek 3 was so terrible that it makes it look better than what it really is.
Shrek 4 is probably the best if you're looking for a similair fantasy story. Also, Shane Dawson is the villain so that's cool
Great thing about The Last Wish is that the previous film isn’t even important to be able to enjoy this sequel. All it does is introduce Kitty, but even though all of the context revolves around information revealed in TLW
The previous was mediocre at best.

@@RSG_TheMonster lol I swear all the dialogue was like… is that my man dhar?
When even Adum gives Puss In Boot's sequel his highest ranking for commercial movies, you KNOW it's a masterpiece
I love hearing Adum ramble about how much he enjoys boy death
I like the part where m3gan said “Chucky ain’t got anything on me!”
I do agree with you on Babylon, especially regarding the run time and the ending feeling a bit self-congratulatory. I remember seeing it in the theater and thinking “this is a bit pretentious” when it showed itself alongside a lot of other iconic moments in film history.
I do like the clear amount of effort and the entertaining aspect of Andrew's work but man I really cant bring myself to see "This place rules" after hearing all the shit he's been doing for so long...
Imagine going to the show that Adam vomited on stage during and then finding out that this shit happened
Meh, I watched it before the allegations, and you're not missing out. It wasn't really anything special or different from his youtube stuff, it just didn't have as much charm I think as his youtube content so I found myself nodding off a bit. You're better off skipping it.
yea, adum’s review was accurate, it’s more a collection of youtube videos. and yea the allegations suck, but since andrews interview style is kinda hands off, its a bit easier to separate art from artist
I’m uneducated on the allegations, I’m a huge Andrew Callahan fan but everyone keeps talking about him like he’s Saran incarnate. What are they? It sounds like they’ve been confirmed, yet people still refer to them as ‘allegations’?
@@galacticupfan7386 well he only very recently responded and confirmed them himself, so I’m assuming it was more of a legal reason to refer to them as allegations. It’s been stated from multiple women that he’s basically been a huge sex pest and consistently has harassed women for consent (so in the end still not real consent) or just made blatant attempts with clear non-consent from these women. So not rape, but sexual assault.
Looking forward to the new Shyamalan disaster.
...movie.
Puss in Boots was such an amazing Diamond in the rough! Easily my favorite movie of the year! Even some of the best villains!
Just now realized that the Sickles that death uses are supposed to be a take on a scythe because he's death. It's kinda obvious, I know, but you aren't immediately going to assume that he's death from that.
A sequel to a spin off from SHREK has no right being so damn good lol how did that happen and why can't it happen more often.
Puss In Boots The Last Wish was a masterpiece, I'm genuinely surprised that he gave it a 8/10
I’d argue the best actor in M3GAN is the girl playing M3GAN herself.
the andrew callaghan allegations gutted me man, i love channel 5 and his approach to journalism but it’s hard to look at his content the same
To quote WP:
On January 12, Callaghan's legal representative responded to the allegations in a statement released to Variety, saying in part: "Conversations about pressure and consent are extremely important and Andrew wants to have these conversations, so he can continue to learn and grow. While every dynamic is open to interpretation and proper communication is critical from all those involved, repeated requests for money should not be part of these conversations."
So, wait, were these women requesting money? Was he requesting his pimp money? WTF?
@@CyberChristyeah the money thing was definitely odd to me, but at the end of the day the only information i have is the statements presented by both parties. by no means do i want to discredit anyone, it’s just that i’m always skeptical when the response to allegations is “i’m learning and growing”. it seems like a cop out answer to deflect the severity of what they’re being accused of. no convictions have been made, so i can’t say with certainty he’s in the wrong, i’ve just seen situations like this play out and it doesn’t look good for Andrew. it sucks, but i guess u should always keep a healthy distance from public figures u enjoy
He's pals with Tim and Eric, not really a surprise
@@Jetstoanywhere Do Tim and Eric have allegations against them?
@@CyberChrist One of his many accusers texted him after the premiere of his new film with a remark like "maybe you can help me pay for my therapy sessions now", and Andrew's lawyer is using that one instance to make it look like all of his accusers are trying to extort him financially. Pretty fucking awful and cringe imo
8/10? I would never expect this from you Adum. Well deserved.
Puss in Boots also has a lot of numerology in it- The one joke repeated three times, sourced from it's original fairy tale where it was repeated three times, the church bell ringing 8 times and finalizing an 8th something on the last ring, the haunting whistle having 8 or 9 notes. It also had plenty of symbolism tied up in it, like in the weapons Puss wielded over the course of the movie. Symbolism and numbers having meaning is all very well paired with fairy tales as a genre.
Shrek 2 🤝 Puss in Boots 2 = being the best sequel in the Shrek series
Shrek 2 was the greatest the 4 Shrek movies
Also, the best DreamWorks sequels too.
I don't think puss in boots 2 will end up as culturally beloved as Shrek 2, but it's definitely a high quality film compared to other movies put out by the same company
@@michaelstrong5383 Dunno man, Kung Fu Panda 2 is really good also
@@TheRedGauntlet If we were to rank all the DreamWorks sequels, Kung Fu Panda 2 would definitely go right up there as another one of the best.
"on two's" is literally the only thing I remember about spider man behind the scenes. Everyone loved bringing it up over and over again. Hearing you struggle to remember that... 😩 drove me up the wall for a minute. 😂

But what makes good rat?
Hello
Is no one else bothered that Megan is basically a reboot of the reboot of Child's Play? Where an AI robot gets the wrong idea and is overprotective of the child?
no because they both have different plot points and different intentions
they made a better effect with the doll head and they better communicated that the robot was sentient and neglected
Finally someone else has said this, its a rip off!
@@ghostcuffs5816 they literally did a better job bro that’s just inspiration
fully agree with what you said about the changes in framerate in puss in boots vs avatar 2. the reason the framerate thing works in movies like into the spiderverse & puss in boots is due to them being heavily stylized films, meanwhile avatar is purposefully trying to be as realistic as possible, so the change in framerate is super jarring & doesn’t fit with the action at all.
This format is awsome! Please do this more often!!!
Heck yeah, Puss in Boots 2 was so good even Adam had to give it higher than a 6.
lmao I did not expect to see you here
Good taste
This place rules has been completely ruined by Andrew's current situation. Even if it was played up or not entirely true, I'm not going to be watching anything from them again.
MY favourite part is when Adum calls M3gan, a child-like doll, a 'real doll'
Is there anything wrong with that?
Sounds like something Scoot would say
Maybe he meant the brand RealDoll
I just saw Puss and Boots, and I feel like the phrase I've heard before is "animating on the twos" I think you are in the ballpark.
I loved M3gan, but I’m pretty sure most of the editing problems stem from it going from R to PG-13.
Everybody cheered and clapped in my Theater here in Brazil during M3gan. It was like a Marvel movie.
I was really blown away by Puss in Boots: TLW too. I had no interest in the PiB series because the first just looked like such a low-effort cookie cutter spinoff that I knew it wouldn't appeal to me. But I decided to watch TLW just because friends were memeing it so hard, and the idea of Death itself being a character was intriguing. And sure enough, I found myself engrossed in TLW from beginning to end -- Adum is right, it's a visually stimulating movie and the script is surprisingly tight. I never had an "UGH oh here goes the boring B plot or the boring comic-relief" moment that's so common in these types of kid-focused films. All of the characters had their place and played off of each other in interesting ways, it was dark and moody but not cloyingly so (plus, darker parts contrasted nicely with the lively goofy parts), and the conclusion had a send-off vibe of the whole PiB story. I like it way better than The Bad Guys because it was willing to take more risks (both in writing and visuals), explore the consequences of its setup and plot, and had an ending that felt deserved.
A kid started to cry in my theater when death showed up
m3gan was a very funny movie to watch with friends, would recommend for that purpose and that purpose alone.
with puss in boots idk how you make it better. Closer to a 7 does not sound right but it's a very high score for Adam. one that is deserved
