You forgot one thing: Tubing. According to Bambu Wiki maintenance they wear down, and they recommend checking the tubes after 10 kg print and 5 kg, if you use abrasive filament. You don't want more wear than necessary, it's not difficult to figure out where the dust and debris ends up.

They sent so much of that with the AMS I didn’t even think about that. Good point though.

@@lendizzle77 I have written to Stefan on CNC Kitchen. He is very good at testing things. It would be nice to know if there are different qualities of tubing. Hope he will/can test it.

Yes. I have had to replace all the PTF tubing inside the AMS. In some places the tubing was completely worn through. Mostly right after feeding in the AMS at the First Stage Feeder

Im amazed that nothing has broken in the last 400 hours of printing on my p1p. Thats like 2,000 hours of printing on my ender 3, which is equal to 200 repairs lmao

    Another great video.
I also found if you are using the AMS the AMS Feeding Funnel is a point of failure in the AMS First Stage Feeder. You will know you have a problem if you are having trouble feeding filament into the AMS and getting a red light.
Just got a P1P last week to go with my X! Carbon. I will keep you up with my progress with the new printer.
    Thanks for all you do

Soooo, the X1C comes with some sample PLA-CF, but their stat sheet for it says you probably shouldn't use it with a nozzle smaller than 0.6mm. But the X1C only ships with 0.4mm nozzles. Which means 1/3 of the filament they include with the printer shouldn't be used with the printer out of the box. I've had it less than 24 hours and already buying new nozzles. It sounds like I'm unhappy but I'm really not, this thing is amazing and I'm happy I don't have to educate myself on the entire universe of new 0.6mm nozzles, I just buy theirs

It works with .4. All the benchys I printed with CF was with the .4. I wouldn’t recommend long term but if you just want to print the test spool, you should be alright

How does the printer do with switching between high temp materials like nylons, and low temp materials like pla? Is there a risk of high temp material leftover in the nozzle causing issues when trying to print low temp materials afterwards? Should you have a specific hot end for each?

    • @dingdongdaddy589

@@akren2482 - I can’t get the first layer to stay down. Using the PETG compatible side of the sheet and the standard X1C PETG settings in slicer. Doing all the pre print calibrations… I have never ran PETG in general, even with other printers, so I don’t know any of the nuances with it. I gave up pretty quick 😅 (within an hour) I saw a random blurb today print speeds for PETG need to be reduced and I was going to try fiddling more with those settings when I give it a go again. Every PLA print on X1C is very good to excellent. Any input is appreciated.

Interesting. I have had the opposite problem. If you notice the scaring on the Wham Bam plate from the last video, it's from PETG. What brand of filament? Have you tried different brands?

    • @dingdongdaddy589
      @dingdongdaddy589 Год назад +1

@@lendizzle77 - It was a brand new sealed Overture black PETG. I’ve had great luck with their PLA, so I went for it. Haven’t tried any other brands yet. Perhaps I will do a little reading and try a couple other recommended brands. I would have guessed my WhamBam plate would have arrived yesterday, but now USPS says “Running late, moving through network”. Whatever that means. 🤣

    Man, what’s wrong ?!? All these replacements and 3packs … 🤯
I made more than 1500 hours of print in 4 years on my old Prusa and only one cable to table connection broke twice.
But what you say say confirm that bamboo printers are terrible quality.
