Phyllida Barlow is asked to put on a show in Venice and the theme is Marco Polo so she makes some papier mache potatoes and takes them to the gallery and she says "Well... To take the Marco Polo theme further I thought of him continuing round the world and back to Venice that way and that he came back a changed man as Walter Raleigh."
