Oh, Rachel, our children can bring us to the depths of despair and the heights of elation. I’m glad Lulu got in to a university. She is a smart girl and will do well wherever she goes. What a blessing for your family. It seems educational exams are getting more difficult all over. I agree the educational systems are not meant to benefit all children. I wish we could change them, so we develop each child’s gift.

Congrats to Lulu. When we sent our youngest son off to college, I cried. I was happy for him, but he was my baby, and it hit me harder than when he started kindergarten. Lol. I'm so proud of him. He's a contractor with a very successful business. I'm proud of all my kids. They've grown into productive members of society, and I couldn't be more proud. 🙂♥️

Bless your heart, Rachel. 🥲. It’s such a big transition not just for your child, but for you too. As we speak, my daughter and son in law are taking Addie to university. She will be 16 hours from home. Many happy/sad tears will be shed, just like you. It’s a pretty heart wrenching transition for sure…and, it seems, happening all over the world. What I learned as my kids flew the nest was that the relationship changes, but certainly does not end…ever. You have so many wonderful memories yet to make with your Lulu. I have two sons grown now with families and careers, I am amazingly still standing, but I know the angst you all are feeling..we love you all and she will be stronger for having gone through this! Oh the trials and tribulations of motherhood….all the ups and the downs….it’s a wonder we ever stayed sane! So pleased that Lulu got into Uni….she will be a star at whatever path she takes….and that all comes from really good parenting from you and Steffy. I understand the feeling of depression….I kind of been feeling that myself and have started some medication as I could not pull myself out of it….and have not been watching your channel nor doing any crafting of any sort. Hoping the meds work for me, and you pull yourself out of the doldrums…as my mom used to say…’this too shall pass’ Love you xx (Loving the idea of a memory quilt…perhaps in crazy quilt pattern. I used to love to make quilts)
