Classic's proper upgrading of his production was so good to see.
just noticed the blue and red polygon frames moving around on the minimap (long game learning) great to be able to analyse player map awareness and strategy

i like this style of protoss it makes the games super action packed and exciting to watch.
It also feels that there are so many opportunity's for each side to take the upper hand, rather than in previous patches it all really came down to one or two big fights.

He really was, the fact that he was able to go in, and use his disruptors offensively then backs away with the disruptors and his production was able to keep up with his fluidity. This strategy taught me a lot about proper toss strategy

That was fantastic. I enjoy it when literally the best micro player loses for not doing something other than "splits and stims" or "picks up ... and heads to the main".

I have never and will never understand all this ByuN hype. Sure he is great with tier 1 stutterstep but that's it. Never any late game stratefy planning, just pumping tier 1s and trying to rely on his micro. Btw it was MaeineKingPrime that started that trend in the first place with Terran.
@@bobby4tw Well for one thing, this is Winter's channel and Winter is a big fan, so he makes other people fans (so you see a lot of them here). Beyond that, ByuN looked really really good in the months up to IEM Katowice this year - nearly unstoppable. Then he kinda got stomped on and has never recovered, and yeah now he's solidly stuck below top 5 terran players because he never builds anything other than reapers and marines. At this point he's a meme of himself and his games are pretty predictable and boring.

Can someone explain why Protoss rarely makes more than 1-2 robos? Seemed to work well in game 1
I think it’s mainly due to liberators and poor mobility.
Also cost of units vs how vulnerable they are to terran. The only unit that consistently trades well is the immortal and that gets countered easily by marauders/any air that shoots down. And ghosts just make it useless as a tanky unit atleast until the new balance patch comes out

@@shivamagarwal348 New patch entered testing, notably the cyclone and mothership have been completely revamped but a ton of other balance changes including nerfs hitting the baneling and ghost

It was kind of cool when you dropped down to diamond and Masters. Gets a little monotonous watching the same 10 people over and over again. Not indefinitely obviously, but once a week maybe. Just an idea. Love the channel and your commentary.

Lol Classic has studied Byun's game hard. Every move he made in game 1 was planned against his usual build/play style. Looks like Byun got intimitated and made handful of mistakes with the sloppy micros. But, he picks it up again in Game 2. Well played! It would be nice to see Byun Switch to Mass BCs mid way when the distruptors numbers are getting up. The only thing that shoots up were stalkers at that point, unless classic build other anti air units in-time.

I think byun if he had two battle cruisers .. simply for sniping the purification novas, he could of had an easier time, ismply acouple bc's can really help in any match, when behind and used tacticalyl as a snipe or destraction.... while then helping you rebuild a much nbetter bio ball
Why spend all the starport time and resources on a BC when you can get 2 libs for cheaper in both regards if reactored and they are overall much more useful than a BC for harass and zoning out the protoss army?
yes but it's a completely different tech tree for the upgrades, costly and takes a long time to pull out. I think that is why we don't see battlecruisers often
what does the sword, drop of blood and gem mean in the players card? ^^
Sword is the attack, blood the health and gem the mana cost to play the card.
@@SSoulx and how this would apply for the player stats? sword beeing how agressive he is? blood is the capability of defense? and what would mana be?
@@ytkapato Mana might be something like economic/macro power. Serral's card has 10 mana for example.

Disruptor seems like such a weak unit against the top tier micro-terrans, but I suppose if you have like 8 of them and use them sparingly you can still get value out of them.

Cyclones are garbage now. They nerf the lock on range way to hard. The whole point in having them was to out micro from range and make the opponent suffer loses if they half engage or if they chase to far.
Luckily it was a Terran vs Protoss, so the teams can be balanced. Personally I don’t understand why everybody doesn’t play Zerg, considering that they are OP to the point of being unfair.
And no sentry for the Protoss ball.. So stupid not to use a sentry in the ball vs.
Terran.
dont mean to decimate classics achievement but i feel like buyn especially in the first game wasnt on top of his game. so many medivacs lost, even lost the first reaper.

I always root for the terran player because terrans are humans and I am also a human :)
TvP is hard because terrans "power units" counter everything protoss. (vikings, ghost, liberators, widowmines) like imagine if HT's storm did all its damage up front, while getting rid of all units energy, and also giving HT insane HP, being able to be healed, and good dps auto attack.. Oh and they can go invisible also. and drop a bomb that can 1 shot your entire army. that seems like it'd be fucking broken right. mean while terrans can fucking mcdonalds out supply off of 3 cc's, while not fully having to commit anything because their command center can fly for what ever fucking reason. and their core units are stronger than protoss units in small supply marines/marauders > zealots/stalkers. im actually shocked that terrans stopped doing widow mine drops, because its essentially free economic damage. unless the protoss gets unbelievably lucky and finds the drop before the mines come out. you always have to atleast sacrifice 4 probes while dedicating micro to defusing the situation. terran is just fucking stupid, and people that complain that protoss is overpowered are equally as dumb.
Edit: i forgot EMP doesnt even need to be researched ghosts just come out with the ability.
It’s not luck, it’s called watching the minimap LOL. Not to mention that if splash comes out before ghosts/Vikings then you just straight up die to a litteral attack move. Protoss act like it’s sooo hard to warp in 10 zealots and rally them to the third while just attacking with their ultra tanky main army with splash damage in another location 😂. Not to mention that Protoss can be completely out of position and be A-okay bc of instant warp in units for defense and recall half their army whenever they want. Terrans are actually punished (as all races should be) for being out of position but Protoss get a free pass. Also zealots being as fast as hellions with charge 😂😂 Protoss is just fine. Cry harder lmao
Lesson learned: if you are P and you are behind of your T opponent, just build couple of Disruptor and you will auto win 😂. Easy as f”ck
Yet in the real world protoss is so bad I can't even play random anymore and the pro players can't even get into a semi finals. You just can't micro at all.
