Your videos are so comforting to me Lanier, however hard my day has been they make me feel like I'm ending it laying on a soft, fluffy cloud! Thank you for being you! 💚
Bedtime in my neck-of-the-woods, but something special o look forward to on my drive into the office tomorrow morning. Many thanks in advance....always grateful for such treasures from Maestro Lanier.
Thank you so much for continuing the series. You truly have taken my tag idea and made it your own. Phenomenal job. What I love most about your channel is I don’t think there’s been a video yet where I haven’t heard of a Fragrance that I didn’t know about ! You’re always teaching me something with every video.
Thank you so much. I am having so much fun working on these. If it hadn't been for you, I would have never thought of the idea. So you are an associate producer on this project. Cheers!
Great selection Lanier. I love Tuscany. It takes me back to my day wandering around Oxford in a tweed and college scarf, riding bikes and going into ancient libraries. Truly a dreaming spires scent for me.
I so want to visit Oxford on my next visit to the UK. Your description of your experience there sounds enchanting. My university was in the Redwood forest on the coast of Northern California. A very different kind of environment for study. Cheers.
Another great video. This series of fragrances that evoke specific places is a gem. For reasons that I am not entirely sure, Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan reminds me of the east end of London. Surge Lutens Five O’Clock Au Gimbre reminds me of expensive British shaving cream. Guerlain Homme and Naughton & Wilson’s Bon Viveur both remind me of British summer evenings. I find both only quasi-fresh and, in certain ways, beautifully melancholic. Very much evocative of the book Remains of the Day to me, notwithstanding the more exuberant name of the N&W.
Wonderful selection Lanier !... Would you say Dunhill British Leather is evocative of the races at Ascot- think horses, saddles, people dressed in their best ?
Beautiful scenary as always. A splendid fragrance tour of the english country side, the english riviera, the oriëntal & caribbean influences and the great city of London . Spot on choices 🎩 off to you sir.
Your knowledge of the UK is impressive Lanier. I’m a Brit from Devonshire, and having a famously uncooperative weather and temperature profile here makes choosing a fragrance a bit like herding cats at times. However, I have just purchased a bottle of Cartier Déclaration d'Un Soir, which I think is perfect for this season. Although I will say that being English, tea based fragrances have an almost hypnotic allure! Take care Lanier, much appreciate the thought that goes into your videos.
Mark I’m so very thrilled that you enjoyed the video. I love the UK and plan to return soon to see more of it. My British ancestry is calling me back. Oh yes, you reminded me that I should have done a tea based fragrance! Oh well, perhaps a part two is in order, “what to wear for tea at Blenheim Palace!”. Thank you for watching and commenting. I truly appreciate it. Cheers!
I have Aramis Tobacco Reserve and it used to be my favorite "sweet tobacco" scent due to the way it manifested the green tobacco leaf. I have Boucheron Jaipur also. And yesterday I wore one of my Bay Rums - C.O.Bigelow. My three choices for quintessential English wears (or while in England) are: Creed Tabarome Millesime Floris No. 89 Polo "Green" Although Polo Green most ideally evokes images of American Old Money, the closeness of culture between Old England and its colonies is illustrated in Polo. Oh, and I have two partial bottles of Tom Ford for Men Extreme. One of my favorite Tom Fords. Love the truffle note.
Well.. Mr Smith, it seems like forever since we chatted. I'm glad I've found your channel again and subscribed 👍Anyway Mr Bond, I'm glad your keeping up with the sartorial elegance, Miss Moneypenny will be delighted😂😉 In all seriousness, so glad i found your channel again, and look forward to more exciting reviews 🙏
Lanier, thank you for making these incredible fragrance videos. I own 4 fragrances that you mention in your video. They are Tobacco Reserve & Tuscany Per Uomo by Aramis, Must de Cartier and Jaipur by Boucheron. I look forward to your full review of Must de Cartier. I can not believe that Cartier discontinued the fragrance years ago. It is a magnificent fragrance.
Thank you, Ed. Yes, it is a shame that Must de Cartier was discontinued. Now it is impossible to get unless you offer up a fortune. And that irks me to no end that when a fragrance is dropped from production the greed by private sellers kicks in. Oh well, I guess I'm crying for the moon on that point. LOL. Cheers!
Glad you said the Tom ford man extreme,my favourite scent of all. Sadly discontinued,, but dua have done wonders with a dupe .I recommend for me on a budget. Thanks again And don't forget us here in northern Ireland, maybe a gun powder and petrol scent,!!
Fantastic selection Lanier! I need to revisit Jaipur. Boucheron Pour Homme is special to me! Tonight I’m wearing Topaze by Avon. It’s a bottle from the early 70’s. It’s the sister to Chanel number 5. Love your series!
Jaipur an interesting choice! 1962 from Floris immediately comes to mind for me. Maybe a touch of Jermyn Street. Definitely a fan of Tuscany per Uomo. ❤🖤💛
Ah but Floris is British so I could not include it since with each country I am picking fragrance not from that country. Yes, Tuscany Per Uomo is a treasure. Cheers.
…”don’t tell Lanier but i would watch these just for the beautiful intros”…oh!, hi Lanier ! i was just saying how much i love your ivory sweater and now i’m going to look for one lol…these travelogues are daydreamy !
Thank you so much James. The sweater is by Paul Jones and I believe I got it on Amazon. But here it is on the Paul Jones website: pjpauljones.com/products/pj-paul-jones-mens-shawl-lapel-sweater-knitwear-cardigan-long-sleeve-cable-pattern?_pos=25&_sid=876fbda37&_ss=r&Color=2 Cheers!

Topaze, such a wonderful name. Cheers and much respect to you my Canadian friend.
Wonderful selections... And you weren't kidding. What Bertrand Duchaufour did with Neela Vermeire is masterful to say the least
I never kid about Neela! Wonderful fragrance house and an amazing woman. Cheers
