The Beast of Gévaudan is the historical name associated with a man-eating animal or animals which terrorised the former province of Gévaudan, in the Margeride Mountains of south-central France between 1764 and 1767. Legendary werewolf or werewolves - killed over 100 people. The series of attacks has been confirmed by a great variety of historical documents and is not called into question by scientists. Children under the age of ten are only represented by a third of the victims, in a relatively small area, compared to the data for wolves. So, because most of the victims were adults and able to defend themselves, historians believe it was a number of, possibly rabid, hybrid wolves which required a larger prey to satisfy their feeding requirements - canids as large as the "Dire Wolves" of Game of Thrones. One wolf shot in the area and recorded by the King's soldiers, also put on display, was as large as a donkey! Many more people were seriously injured by the beast(s) but survived.
From 1764 to 1767, around 100 people were killed by an unknown creature in Gévaudan (southern France). The king's hunters claimed it was a wolf, but the description doesn't fit. It could also have been a hyena or a young lion that escaped captivity. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beast_of_G%C3%A9vaudan

Oh, this will be good. A little insight, their theme is religion/ocultism/satanism especially werewolfes and vampires but they don't take it too serious more in a fun almost comedic way sometimes with some more serious songs like this one, more fantasy based songs like Night Of The Werewolfes and then they have straight up parodies like Resurrection By Erection...
Very fun band and they are very good live as well!

last i remember was the festival summerbreeze 2015, Powerwolf on stage, i swear to the higher power, i've never had that many crowdsurfers gone over my head before, from my angle towards the stage there were atleast 11 that i helped carry.. Powerwolf live is more than a beast.

Powerwolf is the shit. Attila is a classically trained opera singer. His voice is like no other. Powerwolfs whole aura power metal with symphonic elements. Their sound is big. Known for big powerful catchy choruses. Its in your face. They're even better live!!
And they explore sexuality, occultism, and religion through the Lycan (Werewolves) and Vampirism mythos. And having a good laugh at it. It's not intended to be taken too seriously. They're fun!! Im sure others can explain it better. But I think you'll love them!!!
