I heard this live at the Royal Albert Hall not too long before he died. Absolutely spectacular. He was amazing throughout the performance of course, but saved himself for this song as a finale. And he did not disappoint. Absolute power and precision. Never heard anything like it. Such a shame that it was the last time I'd have the chance to watch him live.
He has so much pleasures to reach that last pure note and felt proud of himself. Dont forget that he was close to 90 years old. Andy williams is for me the softest voice ever in human history. And with a lot power. He had a precious gift.

Do you have 2 ears? In the studio version he sings the last chorus twice and could sing it in a higher octave. It was what we called Andy williams version. Nobody could sing this way.
Andy had a beautiful voice, and every song he sang was perfectly done. one of the best singer I have ever heard. I've listened to him for over 50 yrs now and I'm still listening.
