PLEASE REACT TO BLUE AND GREY. I'm sure you'll really like it. Anyway, thank you so much for REACTING and giving your deep analysis to every BTS content. Seriously, I've been waiting for your reaction. Don't know but it became one reasons for me why I'm watching RUclips aside from BTS itself. Please continue, reacting to BTS 🙆💜.
Hi~ I'm your new subscriber, came to your channel through this BTS reaction. I really enjoyed your reaction, and how deep is your analysis is. And I'm hoping for you to maybe, react on BTS BLUE AND GREY. I'D REALLY APPRECIATE IT IF YOU CAN, ITS A WONDERFUL SONG. ONE OF MY FAVORITE.
Yeah. Please do react to Blue and Grey, you'll surely like this song. It was a song written by V during his burn out period at the year 2020. So, it's really meaningful.
Please react to other BTS songs. Some of my fav songs are: MAGIC SHOP, LOVE MYSELF, STAY GOLD AND BLUE AND GREY. PLEASE REACT TO THESE MASTERPIECES. THEY ARE ALL LIT! BTW. Your reaction is lit! I really enjoyed it. You are really going deep. And I love it. That's why, I think you'll love these songs.💜🙆
lol of course they use CGI sometimes. but when we say that they "don't use CGI", we're talking about the crazy sets and features that not a lot of of companies would take the time to build. What other companies can create a room explosion, an indoor waterfall, and falling floors, just for a music video? What we were trying to tell y'all was that if there's a way to build it, they will. Also, you guys noticed that they used a pronoun!! Good eye. However, BTS don't make love songs without a deeper meaning... of course with DNA, there is one! DNA comes from the album, Love Yourself: Her. Love Yourself: Her is the first installment of a three-album series called the Love Yourself Series. Following "Her" are Love Yourself: Tear, and Love Yourself: Answer. These three albums, together, tell a story. Love Yourself: Her- Honeymoon stage of a relationship, everything is going well, "I love you and nothing can break us apart..." basically, love is like destiny. This album has many love songs on it, in order to fit the theme and establish the beginning of the story. DNA is on this album. DNA's lyrics- "we're the two that found the destiny" "none of this is a coincidence" "we're together forever" Love Yourself: Tear: That same relationship breaks apart. "stop trying to change who I am" "this isn't going to work out"... basically, a toxic relationship that ends on a bad note. This album has breakup songs on it, in order to move the story along. Fake Love is on this album Fake Love's Lyrics- "I'm so sick of this fake love" "now i don't know me" "i erased myself, to make myself your doll" Love Yourself Answer: After leaving the relationship, they realize that in order to love other people, they need to first love themselves. "I'm the one I should love" "Precious soul of mine" "I'm learning how to love myself" This album is full of epiphanies and empowerment songs. Idol is on this album Idol's lyrics: "Mind your business" "I'm proud of it, i'm free" "you can't stop me loving myself" So yes, DNA is a love song. However, it is a song that begins a three-album storyline, and it sets the scene for the lesson that BTS took about eight months to tell.
@Moesha Bradford 😄 They definitely will girl! Both Dynamite and Butter have been played almost every day on Mello FM which you may know is the number one radio station here
This song is a 3 part story part 1 : DNA(destiny and falling in love) part 2 : Fake Love( heartbreak) part 3 : Idol and Epiphany ( self love) Hope I explained right
good summary. 💜 1. DNA (title track) / Serendipity (intro song) - beginning of love where everything is rainbows and butterflies 2. Fake Love (title track) / Singularity (intro song) - the realization of losing one's self because of focusing on what you think that other person (who's important - any relationship) else wants you to be and honing yourself to fit that other person's standards 3. Idol (title track) / Epiphany (intro song) - the awakening; understanding that the healthiest way to give love is to first love yourself. you can't give real love if you don't know yourself and you don't love yourself.
FINALLY....reactors that expound on your statements. "They are great dancers";"The outfits are great"; "They're skin is amazing"; so on and so forth. These statements get old and monotonous. I find it refreshing that you guys can speak confidently about topics beyond the music, which further enhances the reaction presented to us. For example, when Judah spouted off about DNA...most people don't know the science off the top of their head. Thank you for actually REACTING to the artistry of BTS! 👍👍👍
When ARMY calls attention to details like CGI or about the meaning of love not being directly connected to romantic relationships it's because so many reactors already draw conclusions without thinking it thought. Many of the fans who come here already saw a whole bunch of other reactors saying things. It's not direct criticism, it's to point out something a lot of other people just say without even thinking about (or in case of CGI, sometimes not being able to identify if it's really CGI). And there are things that ARMY point out because you wouldn't know if no one warned or if you didn't saw backstages or if you don't know the BU. I can't confirm if it's a true information or not because I didn't checked it, but there's a BTS song called "I Need U" that at first was intended to say "I need you friend" but to sound better it was changed to "I need you girl" (I saw in a comment, if it's not true, I'll gladly correct), so it's more about what's repeatedly said in reactions.
I always get a little sad when a new reactor reacts to the I Need U MV and falls into the rabbit hole, because they never go back and watch the dance practice or performances. Same for Spring Day. But that's me...
1. This is the album after which you don't see pronouns anymore. The first conscious effort made for this was in Jimin's solo from this same album "Serendipity". This was openly declared by RM. 2. If a person understands a song in a romantic aspect, then that's what it is to them (this has more to do with consumption of art) but Army tries to remind people that romantic interpretation is limited because a lot of the songs do take on a wider perspective than just romance and people lose out when they don't include it. 3. I have nothing much to add to the CGI conversation. They are known to build crazy set pieces to avoid using CGI if possible. In other words, they are less likely to resort to CGI than others. * _Something to add on to the understanding of this song._ * *Album* Love Yourself series is built in a narrative structure of Beginning -> Development -> Twist -> Resolution. The series too follows this as Wonder -> Her -> Tear -> Answer (though Wonder was released out of order.) DNA belongs to the "Development" prefix. Since you guys are reacting by patreon request, you are off the order as well so I hope at the end of it, you reconcile the songs to the series & the message. Even the vocal line solos are affixed to this order Beginning - Euphoria Development - Serendipity Twist - Singularity Resolution - Epiphany *MV/Lyrics* 1. Space/Formulas/Biochemistry references - Big Bang, formation of the universe, evolution theory and organic chemistry to indicate how life forms scientifically identify partners. This includes the concepts of opposing immune systems or identity/sexuality theories etc etc. 2. Wild colours - This is not confirmed by BTS or Lumpens team or their Art Directors but almost all the colour palettes in every scene are from almost every Pride flag in existence including Heterosexuality (Black & White). 3. Destiny/Fate - This is the part where sometimes romantic/other loves start to blend together because both RM & Suga have said that Army finding BTS & vice versa was "destined". This alludes to passions we find as well. Predisposition to like certain things that we are likely to be good at. E.g: Music/Art etc.
I think this whole conversation with CGI, pronouns and autotune is kind of similar in all cases. When ARMY say ‘no CGI‘, ‘no autotune‘, ‘no pronoun‘, ‘no love songs‘, most of them use this as a hyperbole to appreciate and hype BTS’s work and artistry. That comes from the fact that many times, when people expect it to be CGI, autotune or a love song, it really isn‘t. It does not mean that BTS don‘t use it at all. To name a few examples: - CGI: The falling ground and water in Fake Love is no CGI, but most people are shocked hearing it. - Love songs: Many of their songs for example Outro:Tear or Spring day are expected to be typical love songs by new uninformed people, but they definitely aren‘t. ARMY often get to know the meaning from livestreams of the members, interviews or conferences. They are way more layered and deeper than just bubble gum love songs. That doesn‘t mean that BTS don‘t have any love songs at all, but that most of the songs, which have this kind of direction, aren‘t. That doesn‘t mean that DNA is definitely not a love song. - Autotune: Of course they use autotune for example in Dynamite or Black Swan, but it is way more often used in their recorded songs as for their live performances, so most ARMY argue that it is a stylistic choice. On top of that, many new people can‘t believe that BTS sound so good live while dancing and expect it to be autotune, but ARMY heard some members for example Jungkook completely without gimmics and without a mic acapella live singing and they sound exactly the same. To quote vocal coaches to Jungkook‘s acapella mini concert in his livestream: “He sounds like autotune.“ That is what most fans mean when saying this. Of course fans exist, who don‘t know it better and really believe that BTS don‘t use this things at all, but it is a minority.
They have stayed together so long because they all feel the whole (the group) is more important than one person's view. Plus, they are best friends & "brothers". They have lived together since 2011, debuted in 2013. The most important thing to them is to respect the team even if they disagree. Also interesting, they never fight over "screen time" or who sings what part in a song. Whatever is best for the team is what happens. They have said when they do fight/argue, it is resolved by the whole team. They get everything up front, no talking behind each others back. They resolve it, and let it go. They don't hold grudges. So, even when they disagree, they trust each other. They also support & encourage each others solo projects.
I think the reason why BTS is so successful is also because of their harmonious relationship, they support, love and care for each other sincerely. Unlike other groups, whenever a member is doing an individual project the others support them genuinely. They even visits the set when they shoot indivial MVs. They treat each other like real brothers. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
🌌 We’re not trying to say BTS doesn’t use CGI completely. Of course they did use CGI. It’s obvious for us in this music video. What we’re trying to say is as much as possible if they can do it practically, they do it. As a filmmaker, that’s what I admire about BTS music videos compared to other filmmakers who would easily say “let’s do it in POST” or “let’s CGI it”. We’re just admiring the effort that BTS and most especially the filmmakers have put in their music videos. And yes, it’s not bad to do CGI. Edit: lol I laughed when you notice the pronouns. Nice catch there. I love how you appreciate the boys beauty. Thanks for the reaction! Yes they’re the complete package!! 😄 P.S. One direction lasted 7 or 8 years I think. And this is coming from a directioner 😅
If you're wondering why this song was the "2nd Chapter" for BTS, and why it was such a big deal, it's because this was the song they performed in their first ever US TV debut at the American Music Awards. It was the song that most American ARMYs discovered them with at the time.
this is definitely a love song.. i think it also goes with their concept of love yourself series since this is the title track of the first album ly: her which focuses on the feeling of being in love (whereas ly: tear focuses on the feeling of falling out of love and ly:answer on learning to love yourself before others)
This was the first BTS song I ever heard. A family friend's niece showed it to me the day the music video dropped and was so excited, but I didn't look into them after that. A year later I rediscovered them again and was like, "They did that complete eye candy of a music video!?" If only I could thank that 10 yr old kid Edit: I seriously love your guy's channel. We do truly see how much you guys enjoy them and how you are basically AMRY by now 🌟💜 not only are BTS the full package of performers but they are also some of the most charismatic celebrities I've ever seen
This song is part of trilogy album 'Love Yourself' 1. Love yourself 'her' : all talks about strong emotion of love to someone else, like destiny and fate 2. Love yourself 'tear' : the love starting to fall apart 3. Love yourslef 'answer' : love myself before loving someone else
I love how you break down BTS' songs, lyrics, and MVs, and share your own interpretations. Also, I love seeing you guys genuinely enjoying what you're doing. I'm really looking forward to your reaction to BTS's Louder than Bombs song. It's one of their beautiful songs that makes me tear up everytime I play it.
okay so basically now that you guys are more accustomed to bts and army and know theyre different now i can elaborate they DO have love songs that are about girls like the typical boyband (even though imo bts love songs arent cringey to me while other boybands are) but yeah the reason why we put emphasis on them being different and not doing love songs is because people already assume that and then try to box their music as only that. we like people to automatically think deeper cause majority of the time it is. but some of their earlier songs are just cute love songs about girls and dna is one of those too but it sets the stage for a journey to self love. DNA was one of the singles on Love Yourself : HER which was the start of a 3 part series called the love yourself series and it goes through the process of being so in love with someone you conform to their standards even if it means losing yourself then realizing thats not true love its Fake Love then realizing again that you have to love yourself first before you can love someone else thats where idol and epiphany come in for the closing of that series. all 3 albums are amazing and listening to them in order all the way through song to song is also mind blowing especially reading the lyrics. anyways yeah so basically to sum it up majority of bts music is deeper but they do have love songs and those love songs can be about a man and woman relationship but it can also be about any form of love there is whether friendship, family, lgbtq+ etc i know we like drilled it into you guys that it cant be a "love" song bc their music is deeper but it can be its just majority its not. hope this unnecessary long comment helps lmao
Ok guys I double checked this before I am typing it...haha.. but there is another kpop group that debuted in 1998 and is still an active group, Shinhwa. But yes, BTS's chemistry and their team work is not something I have seen before when it comes to western artist. Most western boy groups have a main lead singer that the team basically centered around, and than they end up breaking up because they want to go solo, or drama within the group, jealousy, and many other reasons. The other thing I like about BTS is how they can still do solo projects and still remain a team. The other members show a lot of support towards each others solo projects as well. The members have gone to one another, especially to RM when they are having trouble with writing songs and many of the members have gone to Suga to write song for them or Suga writing songs of the other members to sing solo. So yea, supportive, caring, ans many more things help to keep BTS together.
You mentioned them wearing jerseys - Suga is a huge basketball fan! His stage name is made up for SHOO-ting GUA-rd, the position he played when he was on a team in high school. He also attended the Lakers-Blazers game that was the first Lakers game after Kobe Bryant passed away. I watched it live, but didn't know he was there until the next day (my man Damian Lillard was amazing that night!)
BackStreet Boys, they are still together after 28 years. They were doing live shows in Las Vegas before Covid hit. They are not huge as they once where, but they are still together. (and yes, Keven did leave for a while, but he always remained friends with them all, and came back once he got his personal life were he wanted it) This is what I know ARMY would love to see from BTS, and I have my fingers crossed. And DNA is an amazing song, I love everything about it! Thank you for doing this one! 💜💜
This is about romantic love because this is part of the first album on the Love Yourself Series. 1. Love Yourself: Her - romantic love 2. Love Yourself: Tear- falling apart of that love 3. Love Yourself: Answer- self-love must come first Also, I think everyone knows BTS use CGI. What sets them apart is they create/build most of their sets/background. Watch their shooting sketches, all available in their channel.
I laughed along with all your "trolling", hahaha! BOLD, keep it up! :D Anyway, if you check where songs from the LY album trilogy fall chronologically, you'll see: LY: HER - romantic love (and yes, members who wrote verses even put in a "her" here and there!) LY: TEAR - losing yourself by trying to hold on to "fake love" LY: ANSWER - finding love for yourself to lay the groundwork for better relationships with others in the future (Fun fact: the "HER" in the album name has a double meaning, but you have to dig DEEP for yourselves! ENJOY!)
Nice reaction as always ☺️ Don’t know who said BTS “never” use CGI ..I’ve seen comments that Fake Love has no CGI and because that MV is so awesome I understand if that fact was highlighted for that video. The fandom as you know is massive..there are bound to be those who are clearly rude - they are in the minority but they can be loud and should not be tolerated. But bear in mind there are some who may be just misinformed or lack communication skills regardless of country or culture. As reactors I’m sure you expect this to happen in ANY fandom. I really like your reactions as too many others overdo the “enthusiasm” and think we can’t see through it. The way you analyse everything shows that you’re not churning these out for your targets. Look forward to your next ☺️🙏👍
Funny you say they are the complete entertainment package. You haven't even watched the entertainment side of theirs beyond their music like: Run BTS!, In the Soop, Bon Voyage, endless amounts of fanmade contents on their funny personalities, dance practice videos, performances at award shows and tv shows all over the world, behind the scenes of music videos, concert footage, etc. About the boyband, BTS are arguably the most successful boyband, as far as reaching success on a global scale in every corner of the world. Maybe only the Beatles and Michael Jackson are more famous with their music worldwide. Boybands from the past are known to be from the west so western audiences don't know that in kpop the boy band are trained for years to sing and do complex dance choreography unlike western boybands. BTS are very unusual even for kpop since these 7 boys have been together for around ten years from the beginning as teens and are still mostly living together in order to work closely as a group. You won't ever get that from Western boy bands because of culture and individual goals, desires and other ideological reasons. BTS has mostly sacrifice their private lives to be this successful for so long. The amount of music content and other contents they put out every year you wonder how they have the time to live their own life.
OK, disclaimer, just to be clear, BTS do have love songs and they do music videos such as this one where they use CGI. Sometimes depending on what the concept is and what you want to portray you have no choice but use CGI, but they tend to mix the two when that's the case. It is just not a whole mv with CGI. They do have other songs with CGI and other songs where they depict love relationships but it is not very common with BTS. They pretty much cover all bases in their music and a lot of different subjects. They also tend to word their love lyrics in more poetic way, not sex, or we went to the party and made love type of lyrics. lol
They do use practical as much as possible, but if you watch this and Idol and Film Out, you have to know it's CGI, right? Also, yes, they do have love songs! The first 2 Love Yourself albums were about love! Love is a huge part of the human experience! People can be so ridiculous!! ✨
What the hell am I supposed to do when u don't do reactions (yk cause of breaks or smth, I'm too used to u guys now) ckejxjs lmaoo ngl I've even gone to watch your other reactions besides BTS. You're making me have high standards when u review and analyze songs 😂😂 thank u for this guys, love how u break down the songs and enjoy, I really do wait for your videos and watch them when I eat my dinner. 💜💜 + also, I don't think ARMYs say BTS never use CGI, bcs then those are lying. I think most meant that on the scenes many ppl say "is that CGI?" they don't. Like the falling stage in Fake Love, or Not Today's platform, or Butter's ground-lights stage or Spring Day's set & so on. DNA does have CGI for transitions, however the sets themselves don't have CGI, not even the cool V and J-Hope set in the beginning. But yeah, sorry for the rambling but I just wanted to explain a bit what some ARMYs may have meant. CGI is heavily used in Idol, so saying BTS never use it would be wrong too anyway and if I see some ARMYs saying they never do, I'll drag bcs tf- they DO.
So happy for you and US you enjoy them as much as we do!!! That’s the best part of reactions to BTS. Watching the discovery and the falling down the rabbit hole. 😘
Haha it does make me laugh when some people think CGI is a bad thing I mean WHAT?! Same goes with auto tune too these add the fun element to the video to create the overall concept that they want to create it is nothing whatsoever to do with their talent/skills it’s crazy how some people think that isn’t it. By the way great reaction as always guys! 👍🏼💜
Just an fyi since u also like breaking down their songs. From 2017 to 2018 BTS released the "Love Yourself" album trilogy. Each album had a main track focused on an aspect of love: 1- Love Yourself: Her - DNA: Just like u guys described, a love that feels like destiny. The intro Serendipity (by Jimin) also shows this. 2- Love Yourself: Tear - Fake Love: the title speaks for itself, and also, Outro: Tear was part of it as well as the intro: Singularity (by V which u watched), so their albums really are a story. 3- Love Yourself: Answer - Idol: which shows true love starts with loving oneself. Not to mention the intro Epiphany (by Jin) shows that the Epiphany u have is realizing u must love yourself to love others. The other solos that include Euphoria (by Jungkook), Trivia: Love (by RM), Trivia: Seesaw (by Suga) & Trivia: Just Dance (by J-Hope) can even be incorporated in each album bcs of the message each portray, to amalgamate LY trilogy. Aaaand that's it for my unwanted to still shared rant lol +Oop 🎆🎇✨🎆🎇✨ idk which one of those but yeah lol^
Thanks for your reaction.. i really enjoy them.. I hope you'll one day react - and break down - to some of my - b side - favourites.. 134340, rain, pied piper, louder than bombs
Of course there’s CGI lol. What they don’t use a lot is green screen since they create/build most of their sets. You should watch their shooting sketches if you’re interested to know how they actually shoot these MVs. It’s all available in their channel🙂
Actually Backstreet Boys never disbanded. They're still together after 20 years, however, they don't release two albums a year like BTS's been doing pretty much since debut. But yeah, Backstreet Boys still together, they're just not as popular as they used to be.
Aside from being complete package, they are also the most wholesome boyband that you can let your kids watch their music videos, no butt shaking, no twerking, fame, drugs, sex., just 💯% pure talent.
This song is from the first of a trio of albums that all tell a story together. It's the progression of relationships and developing yourself. Learning to love yourself. It's from the first album in the series: Love Yourself: Her. It's about a woman, yes, but not a specific woman. It's also theorized that the "woman" is still ARMY. the album is full of songs talking about this perfect, destined love, and the 2nd album, Love Yourself: Tear, is about that love falling apart. Fake Love is from that 2nd album. The 3rd album is Love Yourself: Answer, where they realize that they have to love themselves first before they can truly love any one else. This song is part of the build up where they're setting up the point that they're trying to make with this series. Also, I'm on a lap top and I have no idea how to do emojis on that. Not the galaxy emoji for this video or the black heart for the Fake Love video. I did watch them all, though.
🌌👑💜...love your trolling...and of course the deep dives...!!! And as you said...BTS are a complete package and.."a whole (full) course meal"...true/wise words..!!💜👑🌌
I love how you guys break everything down. You do a really good job. It’s hard to find reactors who take the intellectual approach. That’s why you went from 3 Patrons to 80+ Patrons since you started reacting to BTS. Army knows when you are sincere.
The Beatles lasted for ten years-from 1960 to 1970, so BTS is catching up fast. They began forming in 2010, reached their final lineup in 2012, and just celebrated the 8th anniversary of their debut. 😊
Haha yeah, a lot of their videos use CGI - I think when people are like "Oh they don't use CGI" I think they're mainly talking specifically about the Fake Love music video which uses all practical effects and little to no CGI - add it to your must-watch list it's so good! ... but in general, they use CGI to varying degrees which I think is fine haha.
Thank you to BTS Best Leader in the whole world. RM is the best LEADER of all. That's why he's the #1 Best Leader in the K-POP World. We love RM so much! That's why BTS stay longer than any other K-POP Group. #borahae #bts4ever
Lol I think you’d be surprised to see how much older the fan base actually is. Majority of fans are in the mid 20/early 30s. Truly a diverse group of people.
Kind of drives me (fill in the blank) that certain ARMY members use expressions like "no CGI" and "no auto-tune" as if tasteful, artistic, targeted use of these is somehow a blemish when discussing BTS's creativity. CGI used when real sets and stunts are prohibitively difficult effectively extends imaginativeness into reality. BTS is not gratuitous with using it, in fact BTS makes efforts to avoid it when otherwise practicable. But the reason reactors like Ziah gets a head shaking chuckle out of the expression "no CGI" is because it is formulated by stans bent on revering BTS more so than appreciating BTS's magnificence. And sensible ARMYs then have to explain "well maybe they use it sometimes but....." as seen in some of the comments below. To me the extremes have hijacked the dialogue and the sane not so vociferous majority then have to sanitize the conversation to make it conform to reality. That is, if they are willing to speak up.
I agree. No CGI ever, no auto tune ever, no backing tracks ever, no blemishes or pores, etc.- it's ridiculous. BTS are actual people. I've always thought that this dialogue is driven by new ARMY coming in, and as new people continue to come in, it keeps it going. It's like a new fan hears the intensity of another fan and feels like this is something they must reinforce to show their loyalty and knowledge. I can honestly say it wears on me every time I see/hear it. You can still love BTS and be realistic. I'm pretty sure they do not want people putting them on an untouchable pedestal.
Thank you for speaking up. I feel very happy that BTS has such an intelligent and mature-trending fan base. I think it's something different from alot of other fandoms. In addition to speaking up against the "all of the/none of the-isms", I try to sometimes educate the individuals spreading those false-hoods bc I know most of them don't do it on purpose, they're just over-eager to show BTS "off" to newcomers, and perhaps they have some dark rose-tinted glasses on themselves when it comes to BTS. But yes, they sound silly and need to be corrected. But at the same time, no matter how many people counter-act it, it seems that human brains are fine-tune towards the negative and ridiculous so it takes just a few of those sorts of comments to gain a negative focus. Ah well. Keep fighting the good fight, I guess.
Just enjoy BTS and reacting. Have fun. People have to learn to breathe. People don’t always need to be corrected. You two seem intelligent. Relax ARMY relax. Teach, don’t preach. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Super love this reaction video! You guys, you're so smart hahaha. You're among the most sensible BTS reactors out there. And oh, I won't doubt you when you say you love BTS because hello, your reaction videos won't be this long and fun to watch if you don't have a genuine interest in what BTS is all about. 😂 Looking forward to the next!
Honestly I think that Armys who insist that BTS never use CGI, or that they never write about romantic love, or that all of BTS's "love songs" are actually about Army, I think they're doing BTS and their music a disservice. Yes, it's true that they often don't use pronouns in their songs, and that a lot of their romantic songs can be interpreted in other ways. But also, sometimes they just want to write a love song, and that doesn't lessen their art. Of course they often want to stun us with their sets, practical effects and choreography, but sometimes they also want to make a crazy, over the top colorful video like DNA or Idol, which make liberal use of CGI. That doesn't diminish their artistry either. What's really amazing and admirable about BTS is their ability to explore any topic, story, genre, visual style, or musical style, regardless of whether the public would consider it proper or respectable art. They have no limitations, and it really is a pity when some Army try to place these restrictions around BTS and their music.
there's some people who are so confident when they say BTS don't use CGI for some reason...it's apparent in at least a few of their videos. Nothing wrong with that 🤷♀️
So, commenting on this video even tho it's a few months ago to add that in Korean culture you may often be asked what your blood type is when you meet someone new. Each member of BTS has their blood type disclosed as well, which to Americans seems odd. However, in Korean culture many people use blood type as an indicator of compatibility or personality type. It is like an American asking "what's your sign" when they meet you. There are some good articles breaking this down, and it's an interesting cultural dive if you're interested. 🌌
Always love your reaction, and lol at you throwing shades 😂 About the CGI I think ARMY just addressing the issue because there are videos that people thought used CGIs (like Fake Love) are in fact don't use CGI. But of course BTS uses CGIs and that's a good thing, like you said. Also, you don't have to be on your toes about interpreting songs, it's art and IMO it's always up to the listener's interpretation. In fact, that's what I love about BTS' songs, while they put their own story and meanings in all of their songs, we can also relate to it with our own experience. And, fact: The lyrics translation in DNA saying "her" is in fact correct, they literally use 그녀 / geunyeo = "her" in Korean.
Thank you for checking this one out. Not gonna lie, I've been watching your reactions coz of BTS. I love seeing new people learn about BTS and get to know them as you dive deeper into their craft. Still a long way to go but it's a beautiful journey so enjoy guys. 🌌💫
Love you guys’ reactions man, y’all keeping it real! One of the best on RUclips. But can you guys make the music volume a bit lower, I have to crank up the volume every time to listen your reviews.
🌞🌛⭐ Well, this was all I could find...There may have been more but, my old eyes can't see the real small ones. I Love both of your reactions to these young men and I am always happy to see that you have done another reaction to BTS. Thank You Both. 💜
Btw love the last few minutes of your commentary you guys really need to spill your hearts out more about BTS lol…I love the genuine heart felt words….love you guys! 🌌(this emoji reminds me of their song Mikrokismos) 💜
This song is part of LOVEYOURSELF ALBUM TRILOGY. so DNA is Falling inlove, then it will fail on the 2nd album. And 3rd album is answer, loving yourself.
Wow..I would love to see you guys work with BTS. It would be a Awesome, Blessing, and beautiful moment ever! You guys are the Best Reacting to BTS! Your words are 💯 True Words from the Best Guys!!👍👍💯keep trying to reach out the BTS!! Write to Big Hit..Good Luck🌌🌌🌌
I really liked how you discussed the process of making music at the end and how you'd imagine it to be really tough for multiple people to work on one song.. I honestly think you'd really enjoy watching the BTS documentary 'Break The Silence' since it shows a lot of behind the scenes stuff we usually don't get to see as fans and they also share a lot more of their thoughts about their work ethic and everything. It's so interesting! (maybe as a small little series you'd consider for patreon....? 👀)
it's a three albums story in this case: first album love yourself her: a love like destiny (DNA) second album love yourself tear: you find out it was fake love (fake love) third album love yourself answer: we get the answer that you should love yourself ( Idol)
I always roll my eyes when I see the “no CGI ever” type comments. Why would people want to limit their creativity in any way? Anyway, I think BTS find it funny too - they occasionally make tongue in cheek comments on the subject, sometimes teasing ARMY, like V in the Run BTS episode where they were ‘debating’ by the pool. They also went way ott with CGI in Idol mv precisely because of all the grief they were given for the times they have used it.🌌🌌
🌌 - the BTS Universe Thank you! As always, I love your reaction. Sometimes I rewind to hear the comment again. So a half hour video can turn out to be 40 minutes one. You guys are smart! Because this is what RM said about ‘DNA’ in a Billboard interview: “When we’re talking about our title tracks, ‘DNA is about the expression of a young, passionate love,” RM said. “The lyrics are like, ‘The two of us our connected fatefully from the start, our DNA was just the one thing.’” “At the same time, ‘DNA’ is taking BTS to new ground,” he continued. “We tried to apply new grammar and perspectives. If you listen to the song, you’ll understand what I’m trying to say. It’s very different from our previous music, technically and musically. I believe it’s going to be the starting point of a second chapter of our career; the beginning of our Chapter Two.” Looking forward to the next reaction! 💜 보라해
Loved this! Also would love to see you react to Blood, Sweat, and Tears. I think it's one of their most impressive ones. I strongly recommend watching an explanation video/ reading about it afterwards, since the music video is based on literature, philosophical concepts and Greek mythology. BUT everyone of course wants to hear your own interpretation first! Also here’s some galaxy stuff: 🪐💫✨☄️🌎
One of the ongoing discussions is "What is Kpop?" Is it a certain musical genre? No, because we have songs like Joke listed right next to DNA, and they don't sound even remotely familiar. So what, anything Korean is automatically Kpop? But even Koreans have different words in their language for Kpop vs. other music. In the Grammy Museum interview, Suga said he likes to think of Kpop as a "package" - just like you were saying - of audio AND visuals. That when you watch their mv, you expect a little bit of everything, and it's a whole experience, not just a song. I think we need to think of Kpop in those kinds of terms vs. a certain type of song/sound.
They are a package 😁 Personally, when they use CGI its dope but mayB Army wants to give them props when they don't also. Same with message about girl lol. When they have other meaning in the song, Army want to share it so that this additional work don't go unnoticed too.💜🌌

Hi~
I'm your new subscriber, came to your channel through this BTS reaction.
Hi, new subscriber here 🙆💜
Your channel is a friend strong recommendation, and I'm glad I came to your channel.
DNA's lyrics- "we're the two that found the destiny" "none of this is a coincidence" "we're together forever"
Love Yourself: Tear: That same relationship breaks apart. "stop trying to change who I am" "this isn't going to work out"... basically, a toxic relationship that ends on a bad note.
This album has breakup songs on it, in order to move the story along. Fake Love is on this album
Fake Love's Lyrics- "I'm so sick of this fake love" "now i don't know me" "i erased myself, to make myself your doll"
Love Yourself Answer: After leaving the relationship, they realize that in order to love other people, they need to first love themselves. "I'm the one I should love" "Precious soul of mine" "I'm learning how to love myself"
This album is full of epiphanies and empowerment songs. Idol is on this album
Idol's lyrics: "Mind your business" "I'm proud of it, i'm free" "you can't stop me loving myself"
So yes, DNA is a love song. However, it is a song that begins a three-album storyline, and it sets the scene for the lesson that BTS took about eight months to tell.
that’s a really cool explanation, thank you so much for sharing that!
Perfect!💜😌
Well said!👍🏼💜 Thank you for that☺️
💜💜💜💜💜💜👏👏👏👏👏thanks For this beautiful explanation ....
Well said 👍🏻
"BTS is the most complete package I've ever seen in a musical artiste ever". Truer words have never been spoken - A Jamaican Army 🇯🇲
@Moesha Bradford 😄 They definitely will girl! Both Dynamite and Butter have been played almost every day on Mello FM which you may know is the number one radio station here
Fellow jamaican army. 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
This song is a 3 part story
part 1 : DNA(destiny and falling in love)
part 2 : Fake Love( heartbreak)
part 3 : Idol and Epiphany ( self love)
Hope I explained right
good summary. 💜
1. DNA (title track) / Serendipity (intro song) - beginning of love where everything is rainbows and butterflies
2. Fake Love (title track) / Singularity (intro song) - the realization of losing one's self because of focusing on what you think that other person (who's important - any relationship) else wants you to be and honing yourself to fit that other person's standards
3. Idol (title track) / Epiphany (intro song) - the awakening; understanding that the healthiest way to give love is to first love yourself. you can't give real love if you don't know yourself and you don't love yourself.
@@joaniewwh3502 ^^^oh wow you explained really well 😳
@@Yeonkimin_ oh... thanks, fam. 💜
@@joaniewwh3502 ofc ☺️💕
I NEED YOU was their breakout song. DNA got US airplay-so it began their US journey.
* _Something to add on to the understanding of this song._ *
*Album*
Love Yourself series is built in a narrative structure of Beginning -> Development -> Twist -> Resolution.
Even the vocal line solos are affixed to this order
Beginning - Euphoria
Development - Serendipity
Twist - Singularity
Resolution - Epiphany
*MV/Lyrics*
To name a few examples:
- CGI: The falling ground and water in Fake Love is no CGI, but most people are shocked hearing it.
To quote vocal coaches to Jungkook‘s acapella mini concert in his livestream: “He sounds like autotune.“
That is what most fans mean when saying this. Of course fans exist, who don‘t know it better and really believe that BTS don‘t use this things at all, but it is a minority.
Well said fellow Army
@@meloedits Thank you 💜💜💜
They have stayed together so long because they all feel the whole (the group) is more important than one person's view.
cant wait to see your reaction to *"FAKELOVE and SPRING DAY" and the (Spring Day explanation)*
Fake love behind the scenes 😁
A year later I rediscovered them again and was like, "They did that complete eye candy of a music video!?" If only I could thank that 10 yr old kid
Edit: I seriously love your guy's channel. We do truly see how much you guys enjoy them and how you are basically AMRY by now 🌟💜 not only are BTS the full package of performers but they are also some of the most charismatic celebrities I've ever seen
This song is part of trilogy album 'Love Yourself'
1. Love yourself 'her' : all talks about strong emotion of love to someone else, like destiny and fate
2. Love yourself 'tear' : the love starting to fall apart
YES! Louder than Bombs is amazing
You cracked me up with "no CGI by the way" after all the crazy color popping and turning! made my day! 😂
okay so basically now that you guys are more accustomed to bts and army and know theyre different now i can elaborate
they DO have love songs that are about girls like the typical boyband (even though imo bts love songs arent cringey to me while other boybands are) but yeah the reason why we put emphasis on them being different and not doing love songs is because people already assume that and then try to box their music as only that. we like people to automatically think deeper cause majority of the time it is.
but some of their earlier songs are just cute love songs about girls and dna is one of those too but it sets the stage for a journey to self love. DNA was one of the singles on Love Yourself : HER which was the start of a 3 part series called the love yourself series and it goes through the process of being so in love with someone you conform to their standards even if it means losing yourself then realizing thats not true love its Fake Love then realizing again that you have to love yourself first before you can love someone else thats where idol and epiphany come in for the closing of that series.
all 3 albums are amazing and listening to them in order all the way through song to song is also mind blowing especially reading the lyrics.
anyways yeah so basically to sum it up majority of bts music is deeper but they do have love songs and those love songs can be about a man and woman relationship but it can also be about any form of love there is whether friendship, family, lgbtq+ etc
i know we like drilled it into you guys that it cant be a "love" song bc their music is deeper but it can be its just majority its not. hope this unnecessary long comment helps lmao
This is really what a reaction should be. You discuss the video itself and BTS as a whole in that video. Well done! Thank you!
1. Love Yourself: Her - romantic love
2. Love Yourself: Tear- falling apart of that love
3. Love Yourself: Answer- self-love must come first
Also, I think everyone knows BTS use CGI. What sets them apart is they create/build most of their sets/background. Watch their shooting sketches, all available in their channel.
BTS is the definition of your fantasy football team. 💜💜💜
I laughed along with all your "trolling", hahaha! BOLD, keep it up! :D
Anyway, if you check where songs from the LY album trilogy fall chronologically, you'll see:
LY: HER - romantic love (and yes, members who wrote verses even put in a "her" here and there!)
LY: TEAR - losing yourself by trying to hold on to "fake love"
LY: ANSWER - finding love for yourself to lay the groundwork for better relationships with others in the future
(Fun fact: the "HER" in the album name has a double meaning, but you have to dig DEEP for yourselves! ENJOY!)
Excited to watch
Nice reaction as always ☺️
Don’t know who said BTS “never” use CGI ..I’ve seen comments that Fake Love has no CGI and because that MV is so awesome I understand if that fact was highlighted for that video.
✨
Got my daily dose of ziahtv 🌌💜
What the hell am I supposed to do when u don't do reactions (yk cause of breaks or smth, I'm too used to u guys now) ckejxjs lmaoo ngl I've even gone to watch your other reactions besides BTS. You're making me have high standards when u review and analyze songs 😂😂 thank u for this guys, love how u break down the songs and enjoy, I really do wait for your videos and watch them when I eat my dinner. 💜💜
+ also, I don't think ARMYs say BTS never use CGI, bcs then those are lying.
💜💜💜
So happy for you and US you enjoy them as much as we do!!! That’s the best part of reactions to BTS. Watching the discovery and the falling down the rabbit hole. 😘
Just Googled it. The Beatles were together for eight years. BTS just celebrated eight years. I'm genuinely shooketh!
Each album had a main track focused on an aspect of love:
1- Love Yourself: Her - DNA: Just like u guys described, a love that feels like destiny.
Aaaand that's it for my unwanted to still shared rant lol
+Oop 🎆🎇✨🎆🎇✨ idk which one of those but yeah lol^
DNA just hits different ✨💜
Thanks for your reaction.. i really enjoy them.. I hope you'll one day react - and break down - to some of my - b side - favourites.. 134340, rain, pied piper, louder than bombs
BTS chemistry is their magic for being together for so long 💜 Hope u do BTS Room Live next for their Festa 8th year anniversary 💜
Love your react as always! Keep them coming! God speed!
Of course there’s CGI lol. What they don’t use a lot is green screen since they create/build most of their sets. You should watch their shooting sketches if you’re interested to know how they actually shoot these MVs. It’s all available in their channel🙂
Wow this gave me goosebumps lmao, this song was the reason, with this song I met bts, God bless DNA
Actually Backstreet Boys never disbanded. They're still together after 20 years, however, they don't release two albums a year like BTS's been doing pretty much since debut. But yeah, Backstreet Boys still together, they're just not as popular as they used to be.
I didn't see your comment before I posted about BSB as well. I am still a fan of theirs after 28 years! (Been with them at the very start)
Im ist here bcoz of bts i love the way u react to bts i love it bts is the best
You 2 are so funny 🤣 “If you want to argue it then.... just don’t” 🤣😂🤣
🌌👑💜...love your trolling...and of course the deep dives...!!! And as you said...BTS are a complete package and.."a whole (full) course meal"...true/wise words..!!💜👑🌌
Heyyyy guuuys!!! Good to see you!!!! And thank you for the wonderful reactions of yours!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Great reaction as always!☄☄🌟🌝🌚🌙☄☄💜
Haha yeah, a lot of their videos use CGI - I think when people are like "Oh they don't use CGI" I think they're mainly talking specifically about the Fake Love music video which uses all practical effects and little to no CGI - add it to your must-watch list it's so good! ... but in general, they use CGI to varying degrees which I think is fine haha.
BTS is the best!!! Thank you for the amazing reactions. I love yalls videos more and more ...and look forward to them every day!!🌌🌠
Thank you to BTS Best Leader in the whole world. RM is the best LEADER of all. That's why he's the #1 Best Leader in the K-POP World. We love RM so much! That's why BTS stay longer than any other K-POP Group. #borahae #bts4ever
I really like you guys how you react to there performance and music. Very good words and I see you happy to reacting to BTS.
🌌 Thanks for your reaction ^^
Lol I think you’d be surprised to see how much older the fan base actually is. Majority of fans are in the mid 20/early 30s. Truly a diverse group of people.
🌌Love how you analyze the lyrics, guys! I'm plowing through your BTS reactions now that I found you 6 months later. Subbed:) 💜
Now we need performance reactions 😂 MMA 2019 or MMA 2020
Did u see MMA 2019?
@@Angelina-nh3bq OMG THAT'S THE ONE I WAS RECOMMANDING... I'M A FOOL😂
@@bluenavy5795 Anyway all of their performance are amazing 💜
"Revering..vs..Appreciating"...so very true... Well said Eric..!! 👋👍
🌌🪐🌟🌟🌠 love the journey guys!!!
Nice reaction as always, and yes I see your sincerity. 🌌 🪐 ☄️ 🌌
Thank you guys for recognizing the beauty of BTS🥰💜
You guys so detail. Love it.. keep going
Nothing wrong with that 🤷♀️
🌌 here it is, for you guys!🥰 I support genuine reactions for BTS, and you're one of 'em. Kuddos guys!😉🤩🌌
Thank you for your reaction. 🌌
Thank you for checking this one out. Not gonna lie, I've been watching your reactions coz of BTS. I love seeing new people learn about BTS and get to know them as you dive deeper into their craft. Still a long way to go but it's a beautiful journey so enjoy guys. 🌌💫
Love your humour, reactions are great, thanks.
They do use CGI LMAO when it calls for it but if they can build or make it, they do! Enjoyed thanks guys!!!
Thank you for reaction. 👍🙏
I'm waiting for the day when you react the Bangtan Universe MV's
Wow..I would love to see you guys work with BTS. It would be a Awesome, Blessing, and beautiful moment ever! You guys are the Best Reacting to BTS! Your words are 💯 True Words from the Best Guys!!👍👍💯keep trying to reach out the BTS!! Write to Big Hit..Good Luck🌌🌌🌌
Thank you so much 🙏🏽
@@ZiahTV Thank You for Replying. Means a lot to me. 🙏🙏
Loving the reactions, guys! 🌌☺️
it's a three albums story in this case:
first album love yourself her: a love like destiny (DNA)
second album love yourself tear: you find out it was fake love (fake love)
third album love yourself answer: we get the answer that you should love yourself ( Idol)
You guys should watch their behind the scenes to see if it's CGI or not !! ( sets and all that stuff not the space scenes) 👌
They also went way ott with CGI in Idol mv precisely because of all the grief they were given for the times they have used it.🌌🌌
🌌 - the BTS Universe
Thank you! As always, I love your reaction. Sometimes I rewind to hear the comment again. So a half hour video can turn out to be 40 minutes one.
You guys are smart! Because this is what RM said about ‘DNA’ in a Billboard interview:
“When we’re talking about our title tracks, ‘DNA is about the expression of a young, passionate love,” RM said. “The lyrics are like, ‘The two of us our connected fatefully from the start, our DNA was just the one thing.’”
“At the same time, ‘DNA’ is taking BTS to new ground,” he continued. “We tried to apply new grammar and perspectives. If you listen to the song, you’ll understand what I’m trying to say. It’s very different from our previous music, technically and musically. I believe it’s going to be the starting point of a second chapter of our career; the beginning of our Chapter Two.”
Looking forward to the next reaction! 💜 보라해
💥👽👨🏻🚀👩🏾🚀☄️💫⚡️🌞🌝 I suspect that I’ve made my point! I always search for your reactions first. Thank you both!
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ love it!
Mother Earth ❤️ Father Time
One of the ongoing discussions is "What is Kpop?" Is it a certain musical genre? No, because we have songs like Joke listed right next to DNA, and they don't sound even remotely familiar. So what, anything Korean is automatically Kpop? But even Koreans have different words in their language for Kpop vs. other music. In the Grammy Museum interview, Suga said he likes to think of Kpop as a "package" - just like you were saying - of audio AND visuals. That when you watch their mv, you expect a little bit of everything, and it's a whole experience, not just a song. I think we need to think of Kpop in those kinds of terms vs. a certain type of song/sound.
Great reaction guys! 🌌💜🇨🇦
I love this channel.
They are a package 😁 Personally, when they use CGI its dope but mayB Army wants to give them props when they don't also. Same with message about girl lol. When they have other meaning in the song, Army want to share it so that this additional work don't go unnoticed too.💜🌌
