Great performance to Rebel's Romance. But to be fair this group of HK horses that opposed him are clearly not in the same league as him and he took care of them easily.
great win i have followed rebels romance for three years when he first won the UAE Derby he also broke the record in the G1 breeders cup turf at keeneland last year

Very impressive win, would be great to see him race back in europe to bring some international form with him.
Rebel's Romance proved way too strong for these HK horses. He was always going to be the one to beat in this race ever since he won G1 Dubai Sheema Classic back in late March. Looks like Russian Emperor's best days are behind him now. He has won 3 G1 races (2 of them in the previous 2 editions of this race) and he's done very well for himself. Retirement for the old boy I think.

As an American, I don't watch a lot of foreign races. But I've been following Rebel's Romance in the press because he's amazing at traveling and winning. Adding the skills of William Buick, they're a winning combo for sure. Congrats!!!

@@turkeechannel1150A lot of foreign horses are bred in America from American stock. And a lot are trained in America, too. America is the home of horse racing. Our horses don't race overseas because there's no money in it.

@@turkeechannel1150 You need to learn your racing. Look up how many times our horses have won the Dubai World Cup, and how many times they've won the title of World's Best Racehorse. And check into the pedigrees of Europe's greatest horses and you'll find American blood. Besides, Euro horses can only run on grass. We do grass and dirt, with dirt our best. Euro horse races don't interest us much.

Hahahaha...they brought a World Class horse to HK and race with bloody donkeys and Won...this is a very cheap cake win by Rebel's Romance...the real race shall be with Romantic warrior or Golden Sixty...
Both HK horses you mentioned are 1 - 1 1/4 mile horses and Rebel's Romance is a 1 1/2 mile horse. Plus Romantic Warrior ran 2nd to Russian Emperor in the same race last year proved that Romantic Warrior can't stay beyond 2000m.
So the fact is tis horse didn't prove any shit in HK that it's the best horse ...
Hong Kong racing is just a joke
As far as staying ranks go, yes. HK doesn't have world class stayers of note and the HK horses that Rebel's Romance faced are ordinary to say the least. One of them, Russian Emperor, who won the last 2 editions of the same race, is out of form and retirement is near for him.
