Hi Bincy.. I baked this cake yesterday.. It was a very long work day for me and I wanted to do something which can fix my mood. I knw about this recipe from my friend ( she baked this cake for me on my birthday ) and just followed the steps as you mentioned.. It came out very well and super soft, moist and delicious.. I tried the recipe in my new LG convection microwave. i preheated at 170 & then kep for 45 min at 170. However at about 25 min, i got a burning smell & opened the oven to save the cake. I found the crust almost burnt( no burnt taste ) & the cake is super soft but felt sunken. Even though the taste is superb & i could save the cake., What could be the reason for the sunken cake & burnt crust at 25 min? To add, while mixing sugar & butter, the sugar was not melting & i had to run the hand mixer a long time , but still it was not melted before adding eggs. Is that the reason? i mean over mixing?
Hello, Can I do this recipe with less sugar ? I like cakes with less sugar so just curious if the batter would hold if I use 80gram instead of 100 grams!
