Hey, great video! I've got a 1977 Suzuki GS750 and can't find much info on this tensioner on the internet. The serrated wheel has started jittering/vibrating like crazy with a loud ringing noise, especially when revving the engine. I assume the noise is because of a slack chain because of a slack tensioner. I've tightened the serrated wheel, and that has solved the problem but I know I'm not supposed to do that, and now I'm suspecting the chain might be too tight because of it? Should I change the tensioner? Would highly appreciate a reply from you.
Hey I have the same problem on mine any advice. Did you solve the problem by doing that? I found a manual online if you don’t reply I’ll just follow through with that if you need a link to the service manual I can email it.
@@ginjaninja4222 Hey! I exchanged it with a used original tensioner and that fixed the problem for a while before it came back again later. I assume the second tensioner got slack eventually as well so I bought a manually adjusted tensioner but never got around to installing it before selling the bike.
I got a 1980 Suzuki Gs L, new battery, cleaned the carbs, It came with after market exhaust and i learned, to give it 3 turns out on the fuel valve, running good until Now, cam chain tensioner need to adjust, do I do this after I go through certain amount of miles?
I hope you can share information on this awesome motorcycle, information about the carbs or the color of plugs on a good running bike, or a hot running bike, do not want to burn a hole in the piston, well besides the cam chain tensioner it was running good, in my green horn eyes. Thank you for your video
