How the hell you take someone to court and not reveal what they are being prosecuted for, how does someone defend that. This is hilarious, take out this trash.
One of the reasons, and it's a very big one, that the colonies went to war with Britain and Crazy George III.
The 6A requires the defendant be informed of the crimes he is accused of. It does not require they be made public. In this case, before disclosure was made a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) was enacted or perhaps forced on the Trump defense team so that they could not expose the indictments and the DA could choose not to.
The argument that "invoking the 5th amendment is a strong indicator of self-admission of guilt" is not only wrong but totally violates the principle of the 5th protection against self-incrimination. The whole point is that without such protection an accused could be put under oath and asked " are you guilty?" If he answers yes he is convicted by his own admission. If he says no he is then convicted of perjury. So invoking the 5th is by definition admitting NOTHING!
Please note - I firmly agree this trial is a political lynching, only missing the signed blank confession of the USSR. (I wonder why the DA did not think of that?)
