  • Check out this deadly quick Polaris Slingshot as it gets the jump on a sportbike for a great race to the finish!
Driven by Bill Hahn Jr (who clearly needs to stay out of the rev limiter when he gets all excited!), this machine sports an off-the-shelf Hahn RaceCraft SST Stage 2X SlingShot Turbosystem running unleaded fuel. It's run as quick as 11.48, and still has more left!

Some proper 1/4 miles runs with a modded sling. Good control of traction too.

Thank you! The machine has really turned some heads at the track with its ability to leave hard on a single back tire.

A well prepped track is a huge difference. It's cool but in a street application it's the difference between Velcro and new socks on a wood floor

I own one of these, and I did not know that you can get that much traction out of that back wheel lol. Did you guys put a brace around the right angle drive to keep it from exploding during hard launches?

Thanks! We worked hard on the tire, chassis and launch to get it there, it's been as quick as 1.59 60-foot.
Interestingly, we've been flogging that same angle drive for six years now, and have never had an issue with it, no brace has been needed. It's my impression that the angle drive failures which have occurred aren't a direct result of high power or traction, but instead of abuse. Abuse such as massive tire spin followed by sudden hookup, a condition which can lead to momentary shock loads well in excess of even what we can apply at the drag strip in dozens of hard but controlled launches.
We aren't afraid to put the power to it, but we are judicious about how we do so. A long career of drag racing everything on two, three or four wheels has taught me a lot about how to keep parts alive while pushing them to their limits .

I'd like to know too. And if his dad's family was friends of Albert Einstein.
