Can I say I have a Shakespeare collection if all of my college professors require specific editions?
I seem to be starting a collection of Harry Potter editions.. which is a big project since there are 7 books and so many editions. I currently own obviously the original British/Canadian editions, the first two books en francais (which I plan to buy the next one each time I finish one as a reward for myself :P), and the first two illustrated editions (which I buy when they come out each year, so I'll be getting the third one in the fall!). Other editions currently on my wish list are the "adult" covers and those paperback signature editions (with the minimalist white covers and gold lettering)!
The only ones I refuse to ever touch are the American versions of the books because I think they are the worst! haha .. I could go on a rant but I won't.
Ha! Same here. Couldn't stop myself from pre-ordering all 4 house-themed editions of the first book. The original Bloomsbury adult (hard)covers you're talking about are crazy hard to find, I was looking for Prisoner of Azkaban in that edition a while back and the only one I could find was missing its dust jacket.
I have the signature editions! They are gorgeous!. They come in a red box that looks like a present.
adela grace same I only have 2-7 in the original uk edition, the new U.K. edition and 1-4 in the uk gift edition and I preordered all 4 of the hardcover house edition. Then I have the new uk Hogwarts library and they original uk Hogwarts library. And I have 1-2 in the uk illustrated edition. I do like the USA ones though but I don't have them yet coz they're really hard to buy online in hardcover.
Same! I wanted to buy the Box Set with the hogwarts castle on the spine, but the signature editions are beautiful as well and then I saw the house editions and I was like "Fuck it, I'm gonna buy them all!"

I have a bit of an AiW collection, it's about 40-50 books at this point... one of my absolute favourites is the one illustrated by Tove Jansson (who wrote the Moomin books), her style fits the book so well! I actually have an Alice collection video on my channel, it's a few years old, so I've gotten many more editions since then, but you can see the Tove Jansson there, among others

I remember Alice in Wonderland was the assigned book in our English syllabus when I was in third grade. And I remember that was the first book assigned by our school that I read and fell in love with. I remember I'd read Alice in Wonderland every single night. ❤ It's such an amazing story.

7:48 -- I'm so happy you showed that one, because I ordered it a few days ago and had only a vague idea of what it looked like. If I'd seen that fat pink one, though, I would have gotten that one instead. Can never have enough pink books.

Hailey, I love all your Alice in Wonderland books. Seriously, some of them are SO beautiful. I literally just bought my FIRST copy today. I actually just did a book haul on my channel featuring it. It's not nearly as pretty as any of these, though. Love your videos!
I like pop up books two I was going to get my nephew one , but as a room I wasn't do a library one day with a woman when I meet one together, have a few decrations pices..Along with books, certain collectable toys like wheeled warriors and some. other brand toys loveseat just a nice big relaxation room together away from the stress of life😊😊

I've got four editions- one of them in Spanish, a Puffin one from the 90s (the cover is green with the mad tea party), the Puffin in Bloom one and the Barnes and Noble pink one with blue edges.
Also I discovered a print error in the Barnes and Noble edition. It's on chapter 2 of Looking glass. I think there is a sentence or two missing. :P

Alice in Wonderland is my most favorite classic tale and you should buy a edition of Alice in Wonderland which is illustrated by Yayoi Kusama who is a a Japanese illustrator but you should also check out her edition of The Little Mermaid.

I was so happy to see this video because Alice is my favorite and I just recently got in the mood to read everything I own that is Alice related! I have the Barnes and Noble edition with the pink cover and the blue edges. My first copy was a green paperback but I can't find it so I think it went in a yard sale. Anyway, your video made me smile and I loved seeing all of the editions of Alice!
Honey you need the Canterbury Classics edition! I collect those editions (every single edition from that specific collection). The Alice one has Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass, its green leatherbounds. You can usually find it around Chapters but if not try Amazon.
I have 3 editions of Alice but the book I collect the most of is Harry Potter! I have 3 completely sets I have 7 editions sorcerers stone and like 4 philosophers stones! I love it!
Have you gotten the Minalima edition. They're a husband and wife team and do incredible books. Illustrations and paper engineering. They also do Harry Potter, they've released the first two so far. Beautiful works of art.
I have a paper back addition from the 1960s with the original Tenniel illustrations. The cover is kind of tattered because I got it from a friend who got it from a library sale. I love it though.

Hailey, there is an alice keepsake journal that ik you would love. It's gorgeous. Idk if you've seen it yet but i think you would love it.
HI Hailey! I found an old old old old OLD! edition from McLoughlin Bros Inc. It says it's published in Springfield, MA. It's hardcover and the spine is in terrible shape and pages are yellowed like a treasure map. It's readable. I got it at a thrift antique store for 25 cents. I wish I could send a pic to you. Original illustrations and over good condition for how old it might. Has no copyright date. :/
My daughter has the golden book you have and I have the hardcover Anna Bond- Puffin edition.
We also have the Disney follow along storybook and soundtrack on vinyl. My four yr old daughter loves Alice and prefers her over all Disney princesses etc.

you should totally check out the edition illustrated by Benjamin Lacombe - I love it so much it's the best !! :D :D

Alice in wonderland is actually my least favorite classic I've read but I love how much you love it! I collect editions of Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre and watching this makes me not feel guilty for having multiple editions.
I have a few alice books because I love the story, my personal favourite is my grandma's that she was given on VE day (1945) when she was a little girl :)

I have the big Barnes and Noble leather bound classic edition, which is absolutely gorgeous. You should get that one, before they discontinue it (Barnes and Noble likes to do that).
I have two editions of alice one of them is the owlcrate one and the other is the beautiful complete alice :)

My fave is the Salvador’s Dali Illistrations,,150 edition , I love Charles santor illistrations and of course Arthur Rachoms illustrations.....I collect colouring books ...another cool colouring book is an Asian version I thinking Korean Alice in wonderland and most characters are sort of...fat..lol but realy cool illustrations
I finally got around to reading Alice in Wonderland and now realize what I've been missing out on all these years. You ought to check out the 2 RUclips videos by cookieadditions. My favorite book that she has is illustrated by Eric Kincaid. In these illustrations Alice has dark hair and I think she resembles the real Alice.

The Alice in Wonderland French and Spanish edition of Benjamin Lacombe is the prettiest I've ever seen. Too bad I can´t read french...I guess I'll settle to buy the spanish one because the book is so, so pretty.
Hey in Brazil we have a brand with a special edition of Alice in the wonderland, that I personally think is so beautiful, search for Alice no Pais das maravilhas of dark side, I think you would like a lot
