Like the yarn I used? The Main color is "Ogre" in Primo Sock from The Plucky Knitter. The Toe color is "Sixties Blue" in BFL Tweed Fingering from Little Lionhead Knits.
I also refreshed my dining room this week! I used "Lulworth Blue" from Farrow & Ball for the wall color! Dave did breadboard on the bottom of the walls, and board and batten on top. The drapes I sewed myself years ago, and the furniture is all thrifted!

I’m recently obsessed with making socks, and very much want to make my mom some. Over the course of several injuries and surgeries her feet don’t match, and are kinda wonky now. I think it would be a dream for her to have socks specifically made for her feet. I was mulling over ideas for delineating the left sock and right sock since they’ll have to be different when I started watching this video. You gave me the awesome idea of putting any pretty patterning on the outside of the leg only! And then when you said the name of the socks I had to pause the video and immediately buy the pattern because my mom’s name is Barbara!! AND she prefers her socks mid-calf like these. It’s like the stars aligned on this one.
I so enjoyed seeing the various iterations of your dining room. You must have a very patient husband to redo it that many times. Loved all of them!❤ I am so turned on by all your socks. I love socks and definitely have to learn to knit them as the stitches are finer than crochet, which is my mode of choice. I LOVE crochet!!! But I have a feeling that once I learn to knit socks, it could be an obsession. Do you have a beginner video or book?
Summer when will you come to Boston? I’d love so much to meet you. We were in McKinney Texas in March while visiting granddaughter and kids and I had no idea you were there a few weeks before. I bought yarn in McKinney at that great yarn store and a month later I found your book and knitted the basic sock with the yarn I bought in McKinney.

Hi Summer, OK I want to be like you and have a dresser full of socks. I come to realize that I am just plain old afraid. Why? I don't even know. I do know that it would be easier to make my own socks, that way I would have different styles, designs, long, shorties you name it. I think once I make my first single sock, I will be okay. I am just going to have to just jump right on it regardless. I love the dinning room and the color.
So interesting to see all your socks together, they're all the same colours, mine all all a completely different colour palette with virtually no cross over with yours.
Beasley is adorable! I'm having to take a break from knitting as my fingers are stiff and swollen so watching YOU knit!

You and I have a house situation in common ! I bought an 1884 house remotely in 2022 that was “remodeled” by a company in the area. The company turned out to be one guy who decided to try flipping houses. Electrical, plumbing and doors needed repair, floors are extremely sloped and now exterior trim paint has started peeling.

Can't wait for the sock design video next week. I love your podcasts. I used to live in a very old house, and understand the remodel. We did quite a bit of changing. Your mural reminded me of a 'mom' story. My mother loved beautiful things and she really didn't care what she had to do. She was good at refinishing furniture. She painted everything, and she put a 'colonial' themed mural up in our dining room. She didn't like the colors, and they didn't match the color scheme. SO she bought oil pastels and re colored the whole mural. I don't remember much more than that, but it took her forever. She finished it, we all thought it looked fine. My favorite mural was one we put up in our home. It was a world map. I loved it. Today so many country names have changed, the USSR is no longer-so it would be sadly outdated. I am happily knitting socks and waiting for my copy of your book to escape Amazon's back order!

I am fairly new to knitting socks. Your socks are so beautiful! I do have a question though.....how do you make your socks look so soft and flimsy? Mine look stiff, I am using Knipicks Hawthorne fingerings and using a 2.25mm needle.

Love the new Barb sock look! Do you wear all of your socks or do you avoid wearing some to keep them pristine for photos? I’m always curious about that.
I have a small pile I wear, but most of my socks are samples that I need for photos and videos and events, so I sadly don't get to wear them 😭
