Just dont be one of those guys that believes leaning out the high side adds power. Im constantly fixing saws in the shop that someone did that to. It absolutly destroys saws. Obviously cant do that to these thankfully lol but i love the autotunes. Alot of those older guys are scared of them. But if you took this 550xp, and raced it against an older 353xp husky... the 550xp will blow it away despite the larger engine in the 353
Thank the Humboldt cut for the shit all though the eyes... Nice little hot rod saw you got there, always wanted to have one done when the time comes. Ounces x minutes = tons carrying around all day 😉
I would greatly appreciate a run down of the 3/4 wrap mod on your 550 it looks like the wrap portion from a 562? Also I’m assuming your running a 28” bar on her? Seems to run pretty well any porting, decking done to the cylinder? Thanks in advance
Its a stock half wrap with the full wrap half from a 562. Its a custom mod, I fitted it and had a local welding shop tack it on. I only run 24in. bars on these, reduced weight ones are a must. I do a full woods port job on these. Cut squish and base n flange. Also a lot of port work. It also has 562 dogs and oil pump. Muffler must be gutted with a dual port....
I think I enjoy watching you with that 550 Husky then the Stihl 500i....great little saw....Shoe
You sure know your business
Thank you for making videos

why do husky saws sound funny they have a kind of whine to them, with stihl you just have the buzz of the 2 stroke
@@viperstrike3827 Running at a higher rpm
@@nouseforaname6846 If you'd bother to check the specs you'd know that's not true. Sound is given by muffler and exhaust port design/shape. That's it.
How did you get that 3/4 wrap handle on 550?
Is it a 562 handle modified?
I want to know aswell
@@simo782b he explains in above comments.
These lil saws continue to surprise me.
Thanks for the kind words....
Been doing it a while.

3/8 chain?
Luv a 550 . What length bar is that ? Where did you get that full wrap bar ? Thanks for posting.
It‘s maybe a 20“ bar. I use the same bar on my 550 XP MK2 and this little saw is a ripper
he says 24"
how many horsepower has 550 ported now?
Who knows, I haven't had it dynowed yet.
4,0
@@fullskip8103 According to one Dyno, around 5 HP. ported according to Dyno Joe's Dyno.
A gain of over one HP with another 3 thousand RPM.
Hope it is your forest you work in.
You are too expensive to rent for forestry work. Spend so much time cutting down a tree.
By the time he has the directional cut in, my tree is already on the ground. I cannot believe how stupid north american felling technique is…
lmfao your channel has not one vid of you cutting or felling a tree to the ground.. Make one and put your money where the chain is..
@@Boost_Addict I probably will.
