I'm glad I heard it, have seen it a few times,....but if I read the lyrics in the vid, i hear what the lines says....some are less clear than others but still. This is the first time I've heard "this is embarrassing"
My son saw me watching the first minute of this video and said “ Oh these two. That one with ducky/rabbit spoon was the best video ever!” And then walked out of the room. That made the ending extra funny to me. 😅
I don’t see how she never noticed it was a rabbit. And how no one in her family never noticed it wasn’t a duck. I mystery I will never know the answer to.
Well, that's not really what's part of the illusion. Most people do actually hear "That is embarrassing" unless expecting to hear something different. That's what the different phrases are doing in this instance, it's priming your brain to hear what you are reading. For instance, tell someone the audio clip is about receipts and suddenly more people will hear that word in the phrase. Even knowing what the phrase is supposed to be, it's still tricking my brain into hearing something else for the most part (some of the phrases in this video I couldn't hear while reading) and it's actually a quite studied phenomena at this point. It's pretty much the brain going "oh shit, it's supposed to sound like that?" and makes it sound like that as you're reading it. If you keep listening to it over and over, the brain will eventually stop expecting it to sound like what you're reading, but if you were to try again now ~2 weeks later, you'll most likely hear the other phrases as you're reading it again, for a bit at least :)
5:09 California girl here - it’s easier to tell if you DONT read the suggestions on screen. I clearly heard “That is embarrassing” (Thank you to the Brit in the comments that confirmed I was correct!)

2:30 watching Toni and Ryan in shock from the magic trick was hands down the best bit of this video. No, I have not watched the rest of it yet, but of this I am sure.
does Toni need a private moment with some of the shadow pictures? Also you where in such shock after the illusion with the people in boxes I thought my computer had muted lol
I was just thinking of the ducky spoon today and then it appears 😂 I couldn’t stop laughing!! It was thinking that it was Toni’s ultimate optical illusion 🤣
Thanks so much adding the rabbit / duck spoon as the grand finale. I've had an absolutely horrendous few days and I really needed the laugh and I always crack up at this one!
The magic trick in New York is easy to explain: 1. Buy a bunch of broken or used devices. 2. Pay a bunch of extras minimum wage for a 2-hour shoot while holding those borrowed devices. 3. Have only one person with a working cell phone. 4. Gather eight people who will represent the people who have transferred. 5. Have them only film the case that previously had people in it. 6. Keeping the other case out of view allows for the second round of four people to jump in. 7. And boom! You've just helped a lot of people build the resume for their acting career.
@MitchCK did a explanation video on this. He said likely they are twins or similar looking people in each box and one lot lie down quickly in the bulged floor recess covered, the other lot quickly stand up.
I’d just like to say, I’ve been having a hard time with the passing of my wife’s aunt who I was very close to. Your humour has really helped make this time easier. Thank you both for sharing your laughter is contagious and I think with all the hate in the world these days we need more people like the two of you. I hope you guys have a lovely day.
I dont get it. Most people speak with a natural cadence/ rhythm that you could cut up and turn it into a song? Don’t people do that all the time with auto tuned viral clip songs? There are whole channels dedicated to that stuff. Am I missing something?
Yeah there are likely lots of instances of this if you listen to the same phrase on repeat. This specific clip was I think kind of the origin for a whole study of this auditory phenomenon
The chanting one is being a little deceitful. It's actually saying "that is embarrassing", which wasn't one of the options. I believe it's a chant they do in British sports to taunt opposing players/teams when they screw up.
The repeated phrase that sounds like music is not an illusion. It’s the aspect of spoken language called ‘intonation’, and it’s what people mean when they speak of the ‘music’ of a language. In English, at least, the meaning of a given phrase can be changed by altering the intonation employed when it is spoken and nothing else. The example frequently used is “He’s not coming, is he?” By varying the intonation, this sentence can express emotions from disappointment to chagrin without adding, removing, or changing any of the words.
All the shadow/drawing things are in reverse. I.e. set up a light source, experiment with objects until you find a nicely shaped shadow and add in details with the drawing (that's quite artistic, and I really like it!). Then remove the object on video (straightening it out or changing the shape wile you're at it), then reverse the video. I make it sound easy, but it really isn't. Well, making the video is, but the the making of the shadow and drawing certainly isn't. Well done! Hope I didn't spoil it too much! 😄
Big grats to Ryan on discovering his thing for bearded ladies, if it were socially acceptible for women to have beards those things would be Luscious as hell
While "Sometimes behave so strangely" has some basic form of rhythm and melody, it was clearly autotuned to perfectly fit into the correct notes. You can hear the autotune artefacts if you listen carefully, especially compared to the rest of the text
Brit here - they are chanting "That is embarrassing..." so British haha!!
Another Brit, that was literally all I could hear and was looking at the words thinking 'huh? What's the connection?' 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Haha, I was just going to comment this!
I'm glad I heard it, have seen it a few times,....but if I read the lyrics in the vid, i hear what the lines says....some are less clear than others but still. This is the first time I've heard "this is embarrassing"
Correct 🇬🇧
Yes, that's what I can hear
heres a tip to the editor, maybe give the viewer more than 3 seconds to see some of the images.
yes! Also zooming in some of the images, cause many of us watch the video on our phones now 😅
I know aye .. what the hell was the moustache caused by????
@@renrascal7016 I had to pause and zoom in, but it's the handle of her pull-along suitcase
@@Annapaulas Thanks, that one got me too.
That’s what I came here to say. Try watching what you just made on a phone screen and see if you can see it.
When Toni was surprised by the magic trick, she froze like an amazed/scared baby🤣❤️

I hope he's older than 14.
Awww the ducky/rabbit spoon was savage.
Im so confused by it lol i only see a rabbit even when I try to see the duck
@@ariwoodwardImagine the bunny ears as the duck beak, and the bunny nose as the back of the duck’s head. It’s definitely an awkward pose 😂

Never laughed harder. Poor Toni. That episode was an emotional Rollercoaster for her. But
Ryan is a savage and I Love it.
@@ariwoodward Same! I could NOT see a duck, no matter how hard I tried.
It's "that is embarrassing" in a Northern English accent lol
I read "Mark is in marketing" and immediately heard "that is embarrassing" :D
I can hear Lactates in pharmacy haha
I can only hear that is embarrassing too except for one sound like Bart Simpson lol
YAAAAS I thought that's what they were saying
It's pretty clear, tbh. And English isn't my first language.
"It's a disgusting bench top isn't it?"
"It's the exact same that my mom has."
"I love it." 😂
They were 100% saying "that is embarrassing " and as soon as you hear it, you can't unhear it but begore that I heard all of those other options lol

The one with the chanting crown, until Toni asked if the crowd was saying 'that is embarrassing ', I was totally hearing, 'lactates in pharmacy'. 🤣🤣
I thought they were saying this is embarrassing, as well
5:22 i hear: that is embarrassing

I love toni gasps at the art
I'm guessing as a non-native English speaker and considering it's a footie crowd: *That is embarassing* but it's not on the list. I don't know 🤔4:50
Yeah I thought that cause that's all I heard
It is 'that is embarrassing' 😂 I kinda heard 'autistic piracy'
Theres a great Radiolab episode on the aural phenomenon “sometimes behaves so strangely” … i head the tune every single time i hear that phrase now

The spoon really was savage and I am so happy that I’ve been watching long enough to know the context. The way I cackled at that. I’m sorry Toni.
Whats the story behind the duck/rabbit spoon? Is there an old video I should watch for context?
4:59 What I hear them singing is " that it is emerrassing"

Exactly. And she actually said it, too
I paused and rewound this too many times 🤣 shared in all of my group chats 😁
At 12:04 what is it? I see a fancy rabbit dressed up holding a golf club.
I remember the peter rabbit spoon video. She was so down in the dumps when she found out it wasn't a duck .😂😂😂😂😂😂
I don't get this one. All I see is Peter Rabbit.
I love Toni's genuine reaction to things 😂
My favourite is the the bearded lady. Pippa wanted no part of that photo.
Toni's reaction to the shadow art made them even better. Just completely awe struck lol
Ryan looks quite handsome with a longer beard and hair like this. Just bros giving compliments
12:03 THAT IS A TEA TIME BUNNY RABBIT !!
It has ears, whiskers, wearing a handsome coat.

I was soo invested in the 'staring at the fish' gag that I nearly choked to death laughing.!
12:39...I saw a rabbit too..I had to twist my mind a little bit to see a duck...
I still don't see it, just the rabbit
Tonis problem with Ryan trying to slapp her head 360° around:
"then I can't see it." 😂

I literally cried laughing at ducky spoon. Shout out to Cam and Sophie I hope you both still have jobs.
Ryan looks so hot with this hair and beard. Never change it!!
Omg the squinting one actually gave me a bit of a jumpscare 😰
In that magic trick those are two different sets of people that look alike. It's just a complete illusion with mirrors
Yeah you can definitely see the reflection on the ground after the reveal
OMG the spoon! Perfect ending!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The artist who draws and then put the shadow? I think he puts a shadow first and then think of a drawing, but it is still amazing!!
While "Sometimes behave so strangely" has some basic form of rhythm and melody, it was clearly autotuned to perfectly fit into the correct notes. You can hear the autotune artefacts if you listen carefully, especially compared to the rest of the text
I never heard anything except the talking
4:57 that is embarrassing
Heard it immediately.
"Oh my god its jesus christ" was a hell of a good line
Toni, your only scared of not being alone in the dark.
8:15 theres an "so strangely" echo... spooky 😅😅
