- Right after Crucify my Love, the crowd is pretty loud and Toshi has to wait several minutes to speak. Then Yoshiki starts to play the melody from one of their songs (now if I'm not mistaken, it's Dahlia, but I'm not 100% sure), which is so soft and sad and beautiful that it brings tears to Toshi's eyes. Then Yoshiki goes and comforts him.

("I'm okay" or "it's okay" - you can't hear that (but it's easy to lip read), but it's what he says to Yoshiki after the hug, I guess in answer to a question from Yoshiki if he's okay or so)
eh, now, having such an incredibly wonderful end [of the year is implied, I think, and maybe the end of the Dahlia tour], on Tokyo Dome's stage, again together with this guy [Toshi kind of "hits" Yoshiki - koitsu, as I already said elsewhere isn't really polite Japanese, but can be used affectionally, which it here clearly is], being able to sing here, being able to sing with all of you, really, I myself, and Yoshiki, and Pata and Heath and hide, too, and all of you . . .

well.... thinking back to that period, ToshI was not O.K. He was being at the edge of the abyss before he jumped down there. 12 years has took him. Finally, Feb 24th, 2010 will bring him back to X Japan.

I am just glad that this was not really the end of X Japan. :) It's sad in a different way, because hide is no longer here. But I believe he is still with them, and that makes me happy. If nothing else, I feel like hide is more alive now that X Japan is alive again.
it makes me cry and X is the first band makes me cry...I used to love YOSHIKI and HIDE only,,after reading several passages about X,I love pata n TOSHI now!!!!

What a great leader and a good friend yoshiki are... Eventhough there was something happened between them, broke them, he still open his heart to toshi, he still revived x japan up till today.. He dont keep hatred. What a winderful man he is, as a super talented man, genius musician yet so kind hearted & very humble.. God bless this man and x japan members.

In 1996, when this video was made, hide was very much alive. Toshi started to make healing music in 1997, when hide was also, still alive, not because of his death. And basically all the songs that he played and released during the last 10 years have been written and produced by Masaya... And while being quite good, I don't see them as 'some of the most incredible' songs.

It takes him 13 yrs because Hide died after he left. So everyone blamed him. And everyone in Japan loves Hide the same as Yoshiki especially back then. It was a national nightmare when Hide died. Imagine how Toshi felt ? 🥺🥺🥺😢😢😢😢😢

It was so sweet. Why do you all think Yoshiki's mean cause he did that? I think it was lovely and besides, Yoshiki just played, it was Toshi who lost and started to cry. You should say, Yoshiki, how wonderful of you to come down and comfort him.

I don't see anything "cute" about this.
Toshi was obviously still very much in pain with the loss of hide. If you lost your friend so suddenly, and had to live with that pain everyday, and that void, I would defy you that memories of that person wouldn't make you cry.
Obviously, it took him 10 years of "healing music" to help him cope with the loss. He has produced some of the most incredible songs that very few people have heard this side of the pond since then.
