Railfanning at Rye: Featuring P32 Genesis Deadhead & the usual M8 and Amtrak Action

Shot 11/6/19. Here is another video from the Rye train station on the Metro North New Haven line. I parked at the Harrison train station and rode a Kawasaki M8 train to this station since there wasn't any non permit parking available in Rye and I found one empty spot at Harrison I could legally park my car in. I decided to stay at this station for about an hour and a half to continue to bring you all some trains from the New Haven Line. We see a lot of Kawasaki M8 trains as well as some Amtrak trains. We also see the Diesel train deadhead which is the main reason why I wanted to come to this station because you don't see diesel trains operating on the New Haven Line on weekends and the Danbury diesel trains don't start coming through this station until at least 5:30PM and it's already dark by 5:30PM. I'm finding these deadhead diesel trains to be easier to catch then the Danbury diesels. Lot's to see in this video, enjoy!

At one time, Amtrak trains used to stop at Rye. Were you ever able to catch rush-hour trains to New Canaan? Some of those stop at some of the Westchester stations.

Almost port Chester but I won’t complain I live lest then 2 minutes from rye lmao
