try throwing some noise under it with a volume LFO. adjust the volume until it starts making your sustain follow the noise pattern slightly, and put a 1/16 lfo on the fine tune. add some pitch bend and that’s how you turn this sustain into one of those space bass ones
Aye, and if you're using multipass it's easy to use the velocity modulator (easier in phase plant but same thing once you map it to your noise source) to get this done.
@@sleepingstate1978 thank you! good looks dude, its seriously great to get some tips and input on this type of sound design, there's not a lot of info on it.
Thats sick af Whey. You are doing wonders, i dont think you're even aware of how much good you're doing, man. I mean that, from the absolute bottom of my heart brother. Never stop. Lets go. We're going places.
@ a little goes a long ways with OTT. I usually use it at like 20-50% and if I need more compression later down my effects chain I’ll use another one at the same settings. Also with basses I like time at 800-1000% so it doesn’t create a crazy tail!

@@wooksrusfamily it’s just how you use it. I usually use it to help rebalance my patch after a decent amount of band processing.
