Wonderful Library which I feel like I now know intimately, thanks to you Mary, despite the fact I live in England. I have waited and waited for another one of these and boy was it worth it. Libraries always bring nostalgia for me as they were my favourite place to be as a kid (and still are!) This one is amazing!! What a beautiful building!
I love going to huge old libraries like this! I went to the State Library of Victoria in 2022 and it was one of the most beautiful buildings I've ever been in and it was so quiet which weirdly added to the beauty. It felt like I had stepped into another world.

Interesting to see. Beautiful building on the outside. I work in a public library in the UK. We have a book sale room but it's in view of the main staff counter. If we had it in a basement people would be taking books without paying and have them on eBay before you could blink and goodness knows what would be happening in those study rooms! Jamestown is obviously a more refined neighborhood! We could tell you some stories about things that go on in public libraries here! 😂🤦🏼♀️
We’re very fortunate in most states here in the US that we have law and order still.
Plenty of crime in areas of both countries but here is not the place to get into that discussion. It's a very busy public library where I work. There wouldn't have been a period during opening hours where this video could've been filmed without other people in view.

What a stunning library! Here in Fredericton, New Brunswick, we have two public libraries, one of which is in a middle school built in the late 1970s, so not an attractive building! The other is a little better, in a building built in the 1980s, and is in our beautiful downtown core with a great view of the Saint John River. Nevertheless, neither is as stunning as this library. Wow!
