Camping in the Dry Tortugas - Dec. 2022 - Our Experience

December 2022 - 2 Nights Camping in the Dry Tortugas. A little vlog for us to keep for the future and to share with our friends and family. Before we went camping we watched a lot of RUclips videos about the Dry Tortugas, they were all a little different. This video is just recapping our trip.
We woke up each morning and watched the sunrise, we watched sunset, and then we watched the MOON rise. It was so relaxing to be unplugged from technology and the world for a few days. The water was chilly in December, but we snorkeled anyways. They provide snorkel gear on the island for you. There are grills on each campsite along with a picnic table; other than that you bring everything that you use.
We used Radiate Portable Campfire while we were there. Highly recommend getting something like this. You can't burn any of the foliage on the island so having the portable campfire gave us a bonfire experience at night that was so fun and easy.
There really weren't any bugs when we were there and there was a full moon so the sky was really bright at night versus what it could be without a full moon. Everyone there was so nice, the park rangers were all so kind. This is one of the best trips that we've ever taken!
