I love how much production has leaned in to G2 Bates vs. GenG Daz. First the surprise Bates cameo last split and now this. It's genuinely funny and is clearly not meant to take the place of traditional RL casting so the complainers baffle me.
One of the best casting ever. Roasting players in the rlcs? Hilarious! I always want G2 to win but this time I didn't know who to root for. I couldn't concentrate on the game because I was laughing the whole time. Thank you Tbates and Dazerin, that was great casting.
I had to turn my volume up because for a second one of them spoke so fast I thought he was speaking Arabic. I'm only 12 minutes in and this commentary is comedy, I didnt know they could have obvious favorites. Love it
to anyone complaining - 1. lighten up a little bit if you can’t appreciate the humor in the obviously friendly banter you’re sad. 2. this was a one time thing between two commentators that are signed by the org they were biased to so i don’t see why we can’t let them have their one game rooting for their team. grow up and have some fun
I can’t believe there’s people out there who didn’t see the fun side of this… it was ridiculous and yet entertaining since when do we have casters roasting the pro’s, clearly meant to be some fun on the Alt stream and why not some variety never hurts and personally I enjoyed it.
As the 3rd commenter, I'm going to also offer my opinion on the casting here... It was some of the most unprofessional & biased casting I've ever heard. At times hilarious, at times, way OTT. Overall I give it a 8/10 for comedic purposes. Wouldn't recommend on a regular basis, but funny every now and again in groups where the stakes aren't as high.... TLDR. Commentating was weird but an enjoyable experience overall
Am pretty sure this was set up last minute for them because daz is part of gen g casting and tbates is part of the g2 casting. Am pretty sure someone set that up and theh were told to be biased to their respective teams which tbh is kindad cool cause we never get this.
