    For aliens what I've been doing is using 3 core wires, 24g HR/HH. 30g for the alien, and whatever gauge square you feel cozy with for the core. I do 22 or 24 usually. Using paperclips/tape can help keep those wires parallel while constructing them. I typed this out before I got to your segment in the video on the aliens, curious to see how you execute yours! Thanks again for what you do in the community, Nolan.

    • @stephenscordato4321
      @stephenscordato4321 4 года назад

      Definitely going to pick up a clamp for them, the ring clamp gets clumsy during those long wrapping sessions.

    • @RaftarkJewelry
      @RaftarkJewelry  4 года назад +1

      Ahhhhh the 3 half rounds is a great idea! I bet it makes it much easier to keep them flat/parallel! Not to mention reduces the bulk. That’s a great tip!
      The paper clips is a great idea as well, I’ll have to give that one a go

    I use to make alien coils for my vape. I was wondering is there a reason you don’t use a drill to wrap the core wires it takes some practice but cuts the wrapping of the core wires a million times faster. But back to my question is there a reason why ?

    I'm impressed with your hand spinning, but damn dude, get a drill lol
    If nothing else, it will clean up the claptons.
    Also you should try your hand at a tsuka coil, it's best done by hand rather than on a drill, so it would probably come naturally to you

    • @RaftarkJewelry
      @RaftarkJewelry  4 года назад

      I do have a drill but I prefer to do it by hand anyways. Occasionally I’ll use the drill if it’s a particularly long coil, but for most of my work it’s short enough not to feel like I need the drill
