How would u explain gain staging in the most simple way?

@armakebeatz3236 it's when you tweak the gain/volume of each channel so it sounds the best to you. I like to start with every channel at zero volume and find the best volume for the kick and lock it in place and tweak every other instrument to that kick.
Gatekeeping at its finest lmao , nobody will ever show you the best way to actually making it hit 💀 , i never understood why ppl always have to but fuck it right lol
Don’t gotta worry about sidechain / mixing / phase issues if your 808 is taking the headroom of both the kick and bass ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Not an end all be all, I think sidechaining and clipping kicks with 808’s definitely has its place sonically, this is just a cool way to do it, especially if you are making beats without kicks.
This is the first and only tutorial, which uses THE REAL 808 SAMPLES sound i'm seeing after around ~5-6 years - well done 💪🏼 And nice trick, simple as it gets, for me (producer & engineer, 13 years experience) it's just common sense to use ADSR to enhance punch of something, BUT for someone just starting with music, this is like a golden shortcut to make those beats stand out from the masses 😎 That's very noble from you to forward your knowledge direct to the newbies/starters and not keeping this "secret" for yourself, or even worse, selling high priced courses with very basic common sense knowledge, like most of the tutorial-makers are doing those days 😮💨🏅🏅🏅
there’s an easier way to do this by just duplicating your 808 pattern 2 octaves up and making the bottom notes slide notes and making them short and you should get the same result
Ever heard of workflow? Why take all that time with phase and sidechaining when you can just do this and have a quicker natural sounding 808 and "kick"? Saves time, and sounds cleaner, coming *from* the 808
bro i can tell that u prolly new to producing so dont tell people to stfu. cuz its all a creative process man, like even if for you that shit sounds bad, I might want it to sound like that. yfm? its all waveforms and vibrations at the end of the day
everybody's talking about it being a kick, but this doesn’t phase and clash with the 808
@@famitracked Yes, especially when the 808 is playing on higher notes
thats why theres sidechaining when u add a kick
@@SLKFOREVER03 fair enough, i just think this is easier and sometimes sounds better :)
apart from the fact an 808 is literally a kick already, using pitch envelopes it exactly how you synthesise kicks haha
@@SLKFOREVER03sidechaining doesn't prevent/fix phase issues, that's the thing here 😉 manually phase aligning is still absolutely necessary imho 🤓

Please don’t do this shit unless you are trying to replace your 808 with a kick 😂 lucent what is this bro
LMAO 😭
I see the vision but it's not really "make your 808s hit harder", it adds more punch though and it def sounds different than just a kick

not really, it's just shaping the beginning of the 808 to have a transient like a kick would, the sound stays exactly the same otherwise
He is about to discover transient shaper
Thats like a kick😂😂
Thats exactly how a kick is made
@@Tril_ kicks are made from 808s? didn't know that
@@MusicalRanitnot necessarily
A kick is made when you pitch a sine wave down very quickly, kinda
@@porpolhella sine wave or any wave as a matter. but bingo, pretty spot on
@@MusicalRanit no but kicks are made from low freq and the transient part is like the same automation as shown in the video
if u have rc 20, choose the third preset (called bass talk) lower the mix off the plugin to 30-35% and u have a hard hitting 808, free sauce for y'all
much love brodie🫂
Turned his 808 to a kick

yknow it's called an 808 bc of the 808 kick drum right?

u seem like a good dude, keep up the vids my guy !
This was interesting and new 🤔
Thanks for all your videos, you've helped me tremendously in learning how to make beats.
bro took out the 808 subs
Yo good advice 👌
808’s in practice are kicks with long release for those who are unaware, he is enhancing the transient
We all know we're gonna try it when we're bored 😂
So a kick in the same shape as the 808 thats too fire
🔥 💎
i seen you everywhere bro 😂
amazing

Nice kick
I was made 808 bass kick with a Moog synth xd
Congrats you made a kick (basically)
So a pitched kick
dawg im on pc speakers and all i hear is a mosquito
Try this on hi hats too, can get some wild sounds

That doesn't boost your 808 but adds a kick to it
it just sounds more like a kick than an 808

I like my 808 more subby
It’s a kick now
OR just use a kick!!

idk how you discovered this but thanks brother
"its just a kick"
where tf u think the 808 came from
Just play around with eq bro
Kick
Bad advice. Just adjust the out knob
Why fix something that's not broken
Don’t do this use wave shaper or something, blood overdrive 😭 in conjunction with each other

bruh
bro i thing it is better before ...you play to much with envlope add kick sidechain the bass and thats it
It’s too high bro
Or just use a kick
or just use a kick instead
h-h-h-hellllllll nooooo
mfs use the spinz w no kick for a reason/specific sound… ts j sound cheap😂
